I'm not a runner, but often buy running shoes because of their light weight and flexibility. I'm nearing 70 and years on my feet have taken their toll. However, I wore these shoes on a marathon trip to Disney World and clocked nearly 40 miles on pavement over 5 days with a minimum of discomfort. My feet did not hurt at the end of the. Day and the mesh uppers helped keep my feet relatively cool even with a light low top sock and in Florida heat. This is my third pair of Merrells and I am sold. The roomy toe box combined with a good fitting heel area are winners for me.

I'm not a runner, but have been looking for a comfy sneaker for walking all day at theme parks later in the summer. I'm a fan of Merrells. However, these fit very differently from my Mix Master Glides. The toe box on these is wide, but low in height, so my big toe, while it doesn't touch the end of the shoe, the top of it is constantly rubbing against the inside of the shoe so much I will be returning it. And because the toe box is so wide, I believe other reviewers here when they say the next half size up would have me swimming in it. I'm also flat-footed, and the cushioning inside feels like it's tipping my feet even more into my flat arches. Perhaps this is a desirable thing for those transitioning into barefoot/minimal shoes, but it won't work for me. Sad, though. I think they're really cute.

I LOVE these shoes and I LOVE the MERRELL brand. However this style is TOO BIG in the toe area of my usual size of 9 1/2 and so I took a chance on the 9's. They were actually uncomfortable in the toe. So, I am sorry to say I have to return them. Such a cute style, and the color was perfect but they didn't work out for my foot!

These are the most comfortable sneakers I have ever owned. I bought these just for comfort but I also get compliments on how cute these sneakers are. This sneaker feels different from traditional sneakers, but in a good way. I have a hard time wearing traditional sneakers. In traditional sneakers the arch support is usually to high, the toe box is usually too tight, and the shoe usually feels too narrow. There is plenty of room in the toe box, good width, the arch support is just right, and very light weight. I feel like I'm walking on air. These sneakers are great for someone that stands or walks all day at work like I do. These do run about a 1/2 size big though. I will only buy this brand of sneakers in the future!

I'd buy this same shoe again. Doesn't have much cushion but is strangely supportive and comfortable to wear. Much better for my feet and legs than the old feather-light foam-soled shoes I was wearing for walking! The mesh definitely breathes well (this is not a good shoe for winter!); I've comfortably worn this shoe on sidewalks and fire-road hiking trails.

I refused to part with my original Pace Gloves until I had walked holes into the heels! Tried the new Pace Glove 2 but it was disappointingly different from the original. The Bare Access Arc 3 is more of a minimal walking sneaker than a running shoe in style. Sole is slightly thicker at the heel making it great for walking. Toe box is generous and not too clownish. If laced properly, it does not slip on my narrow heels. More joyful color combinations would be nice.

I was skeptical to make the switch to a minimalist shoe and I had heard mixed reviews about Merrells, but these shoes have done everything I could ask of a minimalist shoe! They conform to my foot perfectly (size 7M), have great flex, adequate arch support, and sticky soles for better foot to pavement contact. I run 15-25 miles each week mostly on pavement and the shoes have held up beautifully. They do come with a disclaimer that they won't get the mileage of a running shoe with a beefier sole, but I love them so much I think they are worth the price -- even if they get less miles overall! Be aware that minimalist shoes are much different than traditional running shoes and you will feel the ground beneath you -- including heat from hot pavement!

These shoes feel great! The fabric on the inner side of the shoe supports my high arch very well. I usually go for something much more bulky and cushiony, but my feet feel great after a day in these.

Good minimalist shoe with thicker sole protection than most of its kind. Also they don't give me plantar fasciitis which has been a huge problem for me until I switched to minimalist sneakers.

These are great for Zumba! My feet are wide in front, narrow in heel. Normally I wear 7½, but I need lots of extra wiggle room for my toes so I ordered size 8. Perfect. No foot pain! Slight arch support, minimal tread so they glide easily on the dance floor.

I love these. They are not constructed for long, power walks but for everything else, they are lightweight, roomy and so easy to wear.

Love them as good outdoor walking shoes - super lightweight and good to pack. My daughter wanted them too. Not sure I would run in them as there is very little support/cushion on bottom. Will get in more colors when on sale. Nice shoe!

I bought my first pair of these shoes last year--I now have five pairs in four different colors. Yes, they are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I will probably buy a couple more pairs.

I have only tried these on, but love my last pair and wanted to get another before they were either gone or changed. Alas the style is a little bit altered, but the shoe is basically the same. This is a light, breathable shoe with plenty of support for me. I bought it to cycle in, but like it so much I have about worn it out, hence the replacement.

I bought this shoe to do my workouts. I wanted to save my running shoes from the abuse. These are great for strength training because they don't stabilize you like a running shoe so you are using your body more in the movement. I will run short distances on a treadmill as part of my workout but I don't run in them. Very versatile!

I love these shoes! I have purchased four colors of Merrell Bare Access shoes, and want more! They are super lightweight, breathable and machine washable. What's not to love? They are "zero drop" design, which means the heal is not built higher than the ball of the foot, so you have a more natural gate. It takes a little getting used to, but after a short while they'll become true favorites. I use these in combination with SOLE' insoles (also sold on Zappos). I credit this combo for curing my intractable plantar fasciitis. Seven Stars - two more than five!

I love these shoes. But I'm frustrated and I have this problem with all Merrells: the 9 is really too snug, but I feel like I'm swimming in the 9.5. For women with smaller feet it's probably not a big deal to wear shoes that look too big! but I'm conscious that my feet look huge now. Regardless, I really do love this shoes so I wear thicker socks with them, as they feel amazing around my arches and they're so nice and lightweight. And cute too! (I should note I don't run in these due to injury, but my husband has a similar version in men's that he really likes for running.)

Bought these for my Mom. When she showed them to me, I had to have a pair for myself. These are the most comfortable shoes. I cannot believe how light weight they are while still being supportive. I like the look too.

Very comfortable shoe from day one. I put these on to "try them on" and then wore them for the next 14 hours. Not one sore spot! Has me looking at other shoes by Merrell now. Zappos service was perfect. I ordered very early Sunday morning and they arrived Monday afternoon. Amazing!

This style is one of the most comfortable shoes that I've ever used to work on in. The shoe box is roomy but the heel area fits snug. Because my feet are two different sizes this shoe works great. I'm going to order a different colored pair. My feet don't get tired wearing this shoe.

I have been wearing Arc2 for the past year daily. I love the design and arch shank that rests perfectly for me. I have plantar fascitis, and these shoes do not hurt my feet like others do. The Arc 3 is a bit narrower than the 2, and a bit stiffer. I don't mind the changes at all, and have been wearing my Arc 3's straight from the box with zero discomfort. I chose the pink ice, and they are actually gray. From the picture, I thought they would be white with pink accents. No problem, I actually prefer the gray. Just an aside, my Arc 2's are white and when they got dingy I washed them on delicate cycle and then allowed to air dry. They came out perfectly! After a year though, the arch shank started to break down a bit and my PF flared. I was so happy to find that Arc 3's.

I absolutely love these shoes. They are so comfortable. I have a ton of shoes but not that many athletic shoes. These did not have a break in period. They were perfect from the first time that I put them on. They are soft and flexible, but not overly barefoot, if that makes sense. They are not winter shoes, they are light and breezy. You cannot go wrong with them, they are worth the money. They are also durable. I have several pairs.
