I just got these today, and I love them. I also own a pair of the carson flats, and I wear the same size in the Agnes. I bought them for an upcoming trip to Europe, as I wanted some flats that look nice, and are comfortable too. There is quite a bit of cushy support in these in comparison to the carson flats. There is a slight wedge and a rubber bottom, so no more slipping around on the ground! This is a great flat that can be casual or dressy. Good job, Frye!

These flats were my first purchase from both Zappos and Frye. I am beyond disappointed. When they first arrived, I was a little put off by the color (they look more brown than red in person), but I decided to give them a try. I wore them for the first time today to the office. Not only do I have blisters on both feet, I have also noticed that the leather is already starting to peel inside the shoe. I cannot believe I wasted so much money on these.

My Carson ballets feel a little tight since my last pregnancy. Based on the previous reviews I ordered a half size up. They were huge! At least an entire size too big! Returned and waiting for a half size down from my Carsons.

Shoe runs large. Was extremely disappointed with the quality especially since this is Frye. Leather extremely thin.

Frye Agnes Ballet in burnt red antique soft vintage and mustard soft vintage leather - cute as far as looks go and colors were beautiful, but I think the style will only work for a narrow foot. I have a medium-to-wide foot with shallow heel and high arch, and typically buy medium-width shoes with no issues. The cut of this shoe gave my foot a muffin-top. I usu wear a 6 in Frye shoes since they have consistently run 1/2 size larger on me, but I think a 6.5 would have worked better for the length without making very much difference in the width. They are cut kind of like Italian shoes. The leather is thicker than the Regina or Carson. Not a lot of padding in the footbed and zero arch support. Sides seem too short to accommodate addition of padding or orthotics. Back they go. Thank you Zappos for fast, free shipping both ways and easy returns, you make it easy to try again.

I have these in the black, the antique red and the saddle color, which I don't seem to see here. I love them all and they are very comfortable. I gave 4 stars for comfort because one of my pairs rubs on my bunion on my left foot. The other two pairs do not rub. Go figure! Anyway, they are very nice flats and the bottoms don't slip, like the all leather Carson style.

My new favorite all around shoe. The style is classic and I can dress up or down with them. The leather is good quality and flexible. They are very comfortable to walk in for long periods of time. I don't need much arch support so these shoes are fine for me.

I love these flats. I have purchased four pairs in red over the past two years. Don't like the tan color as well. Seem true to size. Wear well. Very comfortable.

They're way too narrow for my feet - and I have never needed to size wide before. For this much money, I wanted them to be perfect, so I'm sending them back.

Great ballet flat! This is my second pair of Frye ballet flats, and I love them. They are exactly how they look in the pictures. Frye cushioned these and gave them a sturdy grip which the Carson flat doesn't have. They are super comfortable. I only had to break them in for a week. I ordered my normal size, and they fit perfectly. I would highly recommend. I just wish they came in more colors!

I absolutely love these ballet flats! I have probably a dozen pairs of ballet flats and these are my go to flats that I wear more than any others that I own. I have worn them so much that I need to buy another pair, a year later, and I am so glad that they still make them! You can walk for 12 hours in court in these shoes out of the box with no blisters or pain. I had to size down half a size from my standard 7 to a 6½. I highly recommend them as a classic and staple in any wardrobe!

I purchased this product as a special birthday gift for my daughter. At first she thought about exchanging but in the end she determined these shoes were a great fit and she would be able to wear them for casual as well as business dress. She loved the fit, comfort and style. Great pick!

Great shoes!!! Bought a pair for myself and my daughter. They run a 1/4 size smaller (size 7 feels like a 6 3/4). No break-in period. Slightly padded footbed, very comfortable.

I have to echo everyone else in saying that Frye flats are the best that I have ever owned. These are so comfortable, no breaking in needed, and are generally the best thing since sliced bread. They are worth every penny. I absolutely love these shoes.

I cannot believe the negative reviews about these shoes. I wear a 6 1/2-7 shoe. Ordered these in a 7 and may have been able to size down to 6.5. They are beautiful. I ordered the red and now have two pairs because I love them so much and never want to be without them (I have learned the hard way to always get a back-up pair of shoes I adore). I get compliments everywhere I go. Tip: Use leather protector on them so they won't stain in case water drops get on them. Love these with jeans!

Comfortable shoe for walking and packs well. I wear a size 10 narrow. 10 was the right width but too small. I returned that and got a size 11. That was the right length but a bit wide so I put some inserts in and that helped a lot. Happy with this purchase.

Lovely shoes but they run a half, maybe even a full size, larger. I ordered the Carson Ballet in the same size at that same time and they fit perfectly.

These shoes are very classy looking for flats. Not too dressy and not too casual, so they are very flexible.

I love these shoes (in burnt red) but wish the red was lively and brighter. It is more like a true red and the 'burnt' effect seems to make them look darker, more like maroon. Good color for winter shoes. In any case, the 9 1/2 fits and they are comfortable. My usual size 9 is way too small in Frye's flats. These shoes run narrow but no problem for me. I also bought them in dark brown, great shade. Love them.

I was looking for a pair of higher-quality flats, and so far the Frye Agnes live up to my expectations. I usually wear a 9.5 but found that size too loose when I tried them on especially knowing that the leather would stretch substantially as I wore them. I sized down to the 9 and have been breaking in my new pair for the past week. It's still a work in progress (a few blisters and scrunched toes!), but the leather has already stretched to fit my foot much better and it was definitely the right choice to get the 9s. Once I have broken these in for a few more days I'll be using cedar shoe trees to help absorb moisture and keep the shape of the leather given the price, it's part of my effort to take better care of these shoes and have them last longer than previous pairs of ballet flats.

I really wanted to love these flats because for one thing, they are Fryes, for another they are simple and the right style to wear on the weekends or to work. They are just too narrow and I do not have wide feet. I have worn them over the past few months since I purchased them hoping that the leather would stretch to a more comfortable width, however they have not stretched enough. The narrowness makes my feet hurt by the end of the day. The quality is great, just not the width.

These appear to be nice shoes - the leather is soft and supple. My feet tend to run narrower, but I do not wear narrow shoes. Certain brands just fit a little narrower and work better for me. These shoes are too wide. I ordered half a size up (which is a perfect idea for flats) and the length is perfect.

Brands I'd also recommend: Born's flat is less stylish, but a better fit.

These flats required a 1 week break in period. It was a painful week, filled with bloody blisters, but once my blisters healed, these became very comfortable. I've only had them for 1 month (worn probably 15 times) and the plastic heel is already wearing. I can tell that they won't last longer than a season. Quality wise Frye should be embarrassed to produce such a shoe, nothing like my Frye boots. These aren't worth the price.

I have somewhat wide feet. I ordered an 8.5 in the Black Antique Soft Vintage color. The shoe material looked more like leather than in the pictures -- it was definitely true to color and shape, but it looked more like it had the "worn weathered" texture that other Frye shoes have. The toe box was just a little too snug for my liking, but it didn't show toe cleavage. What was unusual was how narrow the footbed was in the middle and heel of the shoe -- it had to be narrower than the width of my foot in those places. I don't think that sizing up would help, so they had to go back.

Wanted to keep these but we're too tight and narrow. The size 7.5 was too big and the 7 was too small. Guess Frye shoes aren't meant for my feet (I have narrow feet and can usually wear a 7 if don't fit my usual 7.5).

Why, oh why, do I keep trying Frye? Several years ago I bought a pair of Frye boots that I loved for fit and comfort. Every pair that I've bought since has gone back to Zappos. I bought this pair of Frye flats and two other pair of Frye ballet flats in the dark brown soft antique vintage color because the color shown in photos is a deep, rich red brown. I figured I'd keep the pair that fit best and was most comfortable. All three pair are going back. None of the three styles is as red as they appear in photos. Sizing with Frye is inconsistent. I bought all three ballet flat styles in a size 7.5. Of the three pair that I bought, one felt half size too small, one felt a half size too large, and this pair felt true to size. But again, the color isn't what I had hoped for.
