I normally wear an 8.5 and ended up in an 8. These are excellent for people who have a hard time finding wide widths. Don't let the thick sole fool you -- these are wicked comfy. Running in them made me feel like Tigger (in a good way). They don't feel unstable like some of the "rocker" style shoes; I don't feel like I'm going to turn an ankle in them. Yeah, they're a little odd looking and the color is definitely bold, but for comfort, you can't beat them. I've worn Asics forever and these are 200% more comfortable. I've never put a pair of shoes on and felt the love before. Go Hoka!

This is the greatest running sneaker ever!! I have been hampered with foot issues the last 2-years and Hoka One One has been a Godsend! I have tried all of the Hoka's and these Bondi S2s are by far the best ones! Lighter than the other but still have that soft ride that Hoka promises. I wore these in the USAT National Championships and am training in and will wear them for Marine Core marathon in October. Thank you Hoka!

At first, when I opened the box, I was astonished at how utterly ugly this shoe looked. I almost did not put them on. Once I did though, my heart started pounding - they felt fabulous. Even better, I went on an 18 mile run and got not one blister! They are now my favorite shoe! I even ignore the ugliness...in fact, they are growing on me. I am getting another pair! Things to love: cushioning, pounce on pavement and the lace is a pull-string, easy on/off.

Oh, I'm so sad, these are by far the most comfy shoes my feet have ever worn, but the toe box is way too wide. I look forward to the day you drop the unisex sizing and go to a women's shoe form. Unfortunately, I'll be returning them.

These shoes are fabulous and oh-so-comfortable. If you get sore knees when running, the padding in these shoes helps substantially.

I just love these shoes. These are my second pair of Hoka's. They provide excellent support, very comfortable. For those who are use to a shoe like the Nike Free, or other " barefoot" like shoes yes, these will feel " clunky." As someone who wears lighter shoes as well, these are great for anyone who needs extra support in the foot or knee area. I use these for walking 4 miles a day and my legs & feet feel great. Worth the price.

These shoes are fantastic! The most comfortable shoes I have ever run in. They are really geared towards people who need extra cushioning. My feet hurt from being on them all day long, every day, so these help me tremendously. If cushion is not your issue, then these may seem average to you. They certainly look different, but I kind of like the looks. I have recommended them to 4 other people who all love them as well.

Feel so cushiony and look chunky. Watch out for sizing. I am a woman's .5 but am now trying a 6.5 as the sizing is unisex. Really comfy. Great walking, running, elliptic machine shoe. People stop me to ask about my funky shoes. Love them and highly recommend them particularly for older athletes.

Brands I'd also recommend: Keen. Salomon.

I have an older trail Mafate that was too clunky to wear, and my feet would slide on downhill trails inside the shoe. The Bondi S2 is a world apart. Light , comfortable and great fit. The speed lacing is way better. I just ran a 100k technical ultra in it. Worked out great.

Love this shoe! Tons of cush and yet lots of stability. They have become my ultimate long run shoe. Helped me continue to run through foot injury recovery and are just a super high quality shoe. Too much shoe for a track workout or speed session but I use a different pair of shoes for that anyway. They come with speedlaces but a pair of regular shoelaces are also included in case that's what you prefer. Highly recommend this shoe.

Run in Asics, newtons, and now Hokas. What I can say is they are great for runs with a lot of up and down hills in them. A tad bit heavier than my other shoes but not enough to notice. I am a fan.

Hoka One One Bondis are absolutely the BEST shoe for road marathons and ultramarathons. I've attempted three 100 milers running with other shoes and failed due to excruciating blisters and maceration on the soles of my feet. But after switching to Hokas my 100 miler success rate shot up dramatically and foot injuries were eliminated. Additionally, I am a big guy (225 pounds) and Hokas hold up 2-3 times longer than conventional shoes. I don't compete in anything else but Hokas.

Shoes are such an individual taste. I'm a 60 year old, 175 lb. Ironman (Lake Placid & Mont Tremblant) and I like to rotate shoes throughout the week. These shoes are very well cushioned in the heel and fairly well cushioned mid and front foot. They do make me about an inch taller, but I'm not yet completely confident in their stability. I ran a marathon two weeks ago and chose to stick with my Mizunos. Perhaps I'll wear these for my next marathon after I have more experience with them. Toe box is plenty roomy for my normal feet. I am glad I bought them. I do like them. Just need more time in them.

Brands I'd also recommend: ASICS, Mizuno

I resisted buying these because I don't like how they look. However, my husband raved about his and I thought I'd give them a try. WOW! Am I glad I did! I always have a bit of knee trouble and typically rotate between 3-4 pairs of different running shoes. I have worn nothing else since buying my Hokas and no longer have ANY knee problems. The midsole wears a bit quickly (visually) but I'm not feeling it yet. LOVE these shoes!

Shoe feels bulky and hard to run in. Seems to take more effort to do a workout in this shoe. I am used to a lighter shoe.

I want to badly to like the Hoka's, but they feel like a HUGE, heavy appendage on my feet. I feel clumsy, and yes, they are super cushioned, but my feet seem to have to do a lot of work to just pick them up. They also rub the outer part of each big toe raw, and I've heard this from other runners with Hoka's. They also flex in the forefoot in the wrong place. Big-time disappointment in a huge investment.
