I ordered the tour instead of the original boots due to the reviews stating these were better for petite women. I have skinny calves and I'm also short so sometimes it can be tricky for me to find boots that fit right. I ordered my normal shoe size (7) and when I tried these on, they were gigantic. I'm a true 7 so these definitely run a whole size big. I sent them back and got the size 6 instead. They fit much, much better! They are comfortable, very stylish (esp with boot socks!), and aren't too heavy or bulky when you walk. These are exactly what I was looking for and I'm really happy I went with this style instead of the original. I would definitely recommend!

I ordered both the Originals and the Tour to compare them. I love the green color and the style and really wanted to keep one of the pairs, but in the end I couldn't justify the price. Hunter only has a 12-month warranty and many of the reviews on Amazon complain about seams splitting, leakage, and unhelpful responses from the company that recommend "never using the boots in any type of flooding, whether it be 2" or 5" of water." What?? The Tours were much more comfortable, but made much more cheaply, so it's very surprising that they cost the same as the Originals. The Tours are made in China, and the Originals are made in Indonesia -- which isn't necessarily bad in and of itself, but when I looked closely at the boots themselves, neither pair oozed a quality that seemed to justify their price, and the Hunter website didn't contain any reassurances beyond a 12-month warranty. Really sad to send these back, because they are very cute. I might try and find a vintage pair that was made before the quality of construction decreased.

These boots are definitely worth the money in terms of design and style. I usually wear a size 8-8.5 in shoes and the size 8 Hunters fit me well. I have narrow feet so I was worried about the width, but they fit my feet really well with my thick Smartwool hiking socks. The boots appear to taper at the top and come in at the ankles, which makes them very flattering. I have skinny calves so usually rainboots gap like crazy around my legs, but the Hunters look really polished and well-fitted. These boots are also really light in comparison to other boots I've had. I got the black color and I think it looks very classic. I like the matte finish and understated design.

Brands I'd also recommend: Frye, Ugg, Smartwool

After researching the Originals vs. the Tour, I ultimately decided these would be a better fit for my 5'1 frame, as these are lighter weight and have a slimmer calf. I'm normally a 5.5 in most shoes, and sized up to a 6 and it fits well with socks. I've never had an issue with my calves and boots before but these fit pretty snug, it can be difficult to pull them off! But overall I'm happy, they are comfortable to wear for moderate walking, not too heavy or bulky and super cute!

I ordered the Huntress originally because I was worried about my calves fitting in a pair of Hunter boots (about 14-in around). The Huntress was way too big for me in the heels, so I sent them back. I got these Tour ones, and I love them! I love the way they look and how they fit. My calves fit in them with some knee high thick socks and skinny jeans; it's snug but I can still fit a finger between my calves and the boot. I like how these are lightweight and easy to walk in. I also travel for work, so it'll be interesting to see how these fare from being packed and carted around the country. My one concern is how long they will last. I am hoping I can get a few good years of use out of these, but I am skeptical.

Cute boots, I got them in red. I got a size 9 (my size is between 8.5-9) and they are still so large that I use orthotics to improve arch support. So for me this larger size works well. These are not boots that I expect to give a lot of support, but to keep my feet dry. That definitely works! And Zappos showed its great customer service, as usual. Shopping here is fun!

Love the Tour boot. Fits true to size, and is a good option for me over the regular Hunter boots because the height isn't as high up my leg. Fits me perfect.

This packable boot would be great except that it is too tight around the top so they are coming back. As always, Zappos service is awesome so I'll keep looking there for a packable boot that has good support, is supple and durable, and has a comfortable, non-binding, shaft.

I bought this and the Hunter Original 2-tone, and ended up keeping this one because I felt it was a little better fit (I have small calves). The Original was significantly firmer also, compared to the Tour. They were both pretty comfortable, though. Really it just came down to my own preference. I usually wear a size 8, and these fit just perfectly as far as that went.

These are great rain boots, very waterproof, stylish and comfortable. I have very thin calves and it's hard to find boots that aren't way too roomy in the leg, but these are a great fit and leave just enough room for easy on/off. They work well with leggings or skinny jeans tucked in. My only complaint was that the foot part was a bit loose at a size 6, I'm usually a 6.5 but went for the 6 since they only have full sizes. My solution was a sole liner from my old Tretorn boots that makes the fit perfect and adds warmth and comfort since its soft and fuzzy. I recommend getting a liner for these! Otherwise great and easy to wash mud or dirt off as well.

A great boot and fits perfectly. I ordered a size smaller than my normal shoe size and it fit more snug which I like better in a rain boot. These are much more flexible and lighter than the Hunter original boot. Great purchase you won't regret.

These boots are awesome! They're lightweight and very easy to walk in. When I wear them I tend to wear them all day, as I forget I have them on while I'm running errands, walking the dog, etc. They feel quite sturdy, even though they're packable, and I feel confident that I could easily run my dogs on the farm in them and do all sorts of actual dirty, physical stuff in them. That said - they're super cute (still don't actually want to get them dirty yet!) and they spiff up my daily casual outfit of leggings and a sweater/pullover/t shirt. They're easy to pull on, although they're very slim through the calf. I'm able to pull them on over slim-fitting jeans, but barely. I had to size down, as I'm usually an 8.5-9, but in these the 9s were huge and the 8s fit perfectly. For reference I'm 5'6" 130lbs with a 14" calf and these come to about a couple inches below my knee - they're pretty tall for boots, much taller than both my pairs of riding boots. If you have more than about a 14-14.5 inch calf these might not work for you; also if you're on the shorter side these might come all the way up to your knee and hamper your gait, so measure accordingly.

Brands I'd also recommend: Sorel snow boots

Love these boots. I bought my usual size (size 8) and they fit perfectly. I can wear them with thin or thick socks and both work. I have thin calves so the narrow boot opening looks great. (if you have larger calves this would not be the best boot for you). The material is flexible and more comfortable then my previous rain boots. Good support, been wearing them for my NYC commute whenever it rains with out any issues. VERY happy with this purchase.

Love them! I took my first trip to NYC, and rain was forecast most of the time we were to be there. I bought these and they were perfect - I usually wear a size 10 or 10.5 and the 10 fit perfectly. I was able to comfortably walk around in them all day (I even wore them on the flight and they were totally comfortable). Highly recommend and will get years and years of use out of them!

I ordered the Tour after 6 years owning the Originals. I was concerned about the width of the shafts (I have normal to wide calves), but have had absolutely no issue. In terms of comfort, the Tour are about 200% more comfortable than the originals, in terms of weight and flexibility. I spend a lot of time in the woods and find them to be comfortable, even for 2+ hour walks. I love the quality of both pairs of Hunters that I've owned, and while I can't comment on the longevity of the Tours, I do believe that, if treated right, I'll have them for many years.

The reviews were right - these boots are very comfortable but run big. I usually wear a size 6 in boots but in these the 5 fit fine. These boots are great for the rain but you'll need thick socks for snow.

I originally bought the Hunter Original Gloss in black and I am 5'2 115lbs and found they were pretty heavy and went to my knee. I returned them for the Hunter Original Tour in black matte and love them. I am normally a 7 and a half 8 but the 7's fit perfectly I could even wear thick socks for a snug but still comfy fit. I definitely recommend the Hunter Tours and am happy with my purchase.

These seriously changed my life when the snow and rain really started to pick up. So comfortable and stylish with great grip. I had been using other waterproof boots and found myself slipping on wet sidewalks and metal grates. And this specific model folds up for convenient travel. Worth the price. Highly recommend!

Lighter than the Original Tall and a bit shorter, so if your calves are a bit shorter and thinner than average, this is a boot for you. I tried the Original Tall and it almost fit but the top of the shaft kept hitting the back of my thigh when I bended my knee (walking upstairs or sitting).

The boots are great. My daughter got them for Christmas and they have proven to be a good addition to my wardrobe and my daughter's. Zappos is a fantastic website! When my daughter got green Hunter boots for Christmas, she decided she wanted to change the color and Zappos took care of everything so quickly; we had her new boots the next day! I will definitely be shopping through Zappos again.

For years I have heard people raving about Hunter boots. I was excited about purchasing a pair and telling all my friends to order a pair. Only worn a handful of times, the side buckles on both boots fell off, huge rips on the sides of both boots making my feet soaking wet, and then I discovered little tiny microscopic tears at the top of the boots. After putting all my faith in my purchase, I am now highly disappointed with Hunter boots and will never purchase again this brand and hope others reconsider as well.

This is my first review of any product. I feel I need to write this one, mainly because of the awesome Zappos customer service. The service is simply above and beyond excellence. I now start my browsing at Zappos first and my daughter loved the boots and they were perfect fit. Well worth the price.

I have been lusting after these boots for years now and finally decided to use some Christmas money to buy them. I originally thought I was a size 6 (what I usually am) but upon receiving them, I decided they were too tight if I wanted to wear them with fleece socks (which I do in this Illinois weather!). I called Zappos to make a return and the NEXT DAY I received a new pair in a size 7. I didn't have to pay for shipping either way and I had the boots the very next day. I am so incredibly impressed with Zappos and will definitely be coming back. The Boots are a must! They are much lighter than the original ones and they can be folded and packed! It even comes with a bag to put them in!
