Thank you Merrell for making a leather barefoot shoe that I can wear to work! This is the BEST barefoot shoe by far that I have worn in my 2 years of wearing barefoot shoes. It is like a sleek leather glove for my tootsies and it is sooo comfortable. It has been perfect for my running and walking and standing all day on cement floors. I wish more companies would make barefoot shoes for work. I will also order them in brown since I love them so much. I had to order the men's because nobody makes leather barefoot shoes for women yet that I have found. I hope they do soon because I will NEVER wear anything other than barefoot style shoes again as all of my foot, knee and back pain of 10 years went away by wearing this style! I hope also that they come up with a barefoot style workboot and hiking boot.

I just compared the Merrell Tour Glove to the Merrell Reach Glove at the mall. While the Reach is the better looking shoe, more conventional and traditional casual look, I have to say that they weren't half the fun of these Tour Gloves. The Tour is more of a true Glove around your foot; the stitching around the Reach kind of inhibits that. The soles are supposed to be nearly same, but that's not how it feels. That said, I think for the long term I'll want both! A small note for anyone like me who it applies to: I wear a 1/2 length insert in my left shoe to compensate for the difference in leg length (~3/8") and had no issues doing that for either of these models. Still getting that barefoot effect from midsole to toes. (I almost never dare go barefoot otherwise.)

Brands I'd also recommend: Sperry had some glove models similar to Merrell's in running shoes.

I bought these to try as a potential travel shoe. A few years ago, I've had bunion and hammertoe correction surgeries on both feet, and have since been on a mission to understand what footwear is best for foot health. Although my podiatrist had recommended custom orthotics (of course), and I wore them until quite recently, I've come to believe from much internet research of reputable sources, that minimalist footwear is better. So now I'm experimenting with minimalist footwear and have collected a few pairs. Of these, the Merrell Barefoot Tour Glove is the most comfortable. The shoe has soft leather (minus one point for style because of the way the left shoe vamp has developed a deep crease), is very lightweight, and has a protective but flexible sole. In these shoes, I don't experience the metatarsal head pain I still often feel in other footwear. So far, I'm more than pleased with the Tour Glove and they remain top contenders for travel use.

I run in barefoot trainers and I love the feeling. These shoes are so comfortable to walk in, I want to get 2nd pair.

I got these to replace my well-loved Tough Gloves. The fit is very similar, but there's a good bit more padding across the tongue and around the ankle.

Supremely comfortable shoes, with the right amount of padding. They are very light, it literally feels like being barefoot. They also have a generously sized toe box. I'm very pleased with these shoes, perhaps I should buy another pair before they change the model or something...

The shoe is what I expected. However, the shoe laces are 48" long and since the shoe is too wide for me when I tie a bow both ends of the bow and both ends of the laces are touching the ground. I know my foot is narrow but that extra lacing is extreme.

These shoes are incredibly comfortable. I like the way they look, though would prefer if there were something (like the discontinued tough glove) in a single color. The problem: the sole wears through too fast. Maybe this is because I wore these as my regular work shoes, most days for three months, but I just expect product at this price to last a while.

This is a good looking, barefoot-ish shoe. It has more arch support than I expected (that is, none), and it's pretty snug around the heel. Other barefoot brands allow more natural foot mechanics, but they don't look this good. These are reasonably water resistant, as well, which is a welcome change from my Vivo Barefoots that somehow manage soak through by merely walking on damp ground.

I liked these shoes initially, but after I wore them once I noticed a big problem: the red color on the lining rubbed off all over my socks, just from normal wear! So now I have red socks, even though that's not what I started with. Ugh. I recommend avoiding these, or if not, deliberately wearing red socks with them. (This is for the black model with the red lining.)
