I had to buy hiking boots (as I had none!) for a trip to Patagonia. I ordered the purple color. I wear a 9 in most brands but I ordered 9.5 in this boot. All I can say is wow! Right out of the box they were comfortable. I did not have a break-in time in these before my trip and never felt uncomfortable. I never felt any weird rocks or unstable ground. I even went glacier trekking in these and I couldn't had been more comfortable. I had packed a pair of sneakers for the cities during my trip and I decided to wear my boots instead. One thing, they are slightly heavier than what I am used to wearing in my every day life, so I had to get used to the slight extra weight on my feet, but overall, I love my boots! I will order another color very soon!

I have not tried these out yet on a hike. I just wanted to let everyone know that the color is more grey. The Northface website has a photo that is a more accurate image of te color. The image here on my ipad looks tan so I'd that is what you are seeing it is not correct.

I bought these boots to wear on a trip to Alaska and they are perfect! I've gone in tide pools, hiked through numerous trails and gone to dinner in them. They are VERY comfortable and super roomy at the toes. I could wear two pairs of socks and still feel comfortable in these boots.
Felt true to size
Excellent arch support
Felt true to width

I was a little skeptical about paying this much for a hiking boot. However, once I tried them on I realized I got what I paid for! Super comfortable! I live close to a state park and do a lot of hiking. Love the purple/pink combo. Nothing like making a statement while in the woods. I did a trail through slush and snow and kept dry. Very light weight, like a walking tennis shoe. Nice ankle support. Love 'em!

Very comfortable sneakers. Got it today and walked outside in the snow, slushy stair case. It felt very solid. I didn't feel any slippery. That's exactly what I have been looking for. I think the price is very expensive for a pair of sneakers, but there aren't many choices. Not many sneakers are waterproof and able to handle the snow.
