This is a good looking shoe that will likely work well for runners who over-pronate. If you are a neutral runner, the shoe will feel really odd. It says in the product description that it's designed for the mild to moderate over-pronator, and somehow I missed this. When I put the shoe on it felt like I was being forced to walk on the outsides of my feet. I could feel strain on the outer sides of my legs after walking around in them for just a few minutes. Clearly the shoe is not for me, and I went with the Brooks Pureflow 2 instead, which is a much more neutral shoe. However, I think if you do overpronate, this shoe may just save your life. Other than the OP issues, the shoe fit me true to size (I wear an 11) and is very well designed. I love the tongue design and how not-bulky it is. The Pureflow 2 has all of the same features, and I think I just might be in love with a shoe.

My last shoe was the PureCadence 1 and I loved it! But, since I could not find any more PC1s in my size, I decided (based on reviews here) to try the PureCadence 2 - what a mistake! It is so stiff and uncomfortable and way too tight across the top of the foot even with my narrow feet. The arch also hits at an odd spot - definitely not a comfortable running shoe. Sadly, I did not find this out until on an actual run - so they cannot be returned!! The only improvement Brooks made to the PC2 shoe was the attached tongue. All other changes were a step down. Now I am stuck with a shoe that is not even comfortable to walk in!!!

Awesome shoes! Great support, these shoes virtually eliminated my shin splint problems! They fit very similar to my Nike shoes. I wear a 6 in Nike as well as Brooks.

My wife absolutely loves these shoes! She's liked other Brooks shoes, and some Asics, but these are the best yet! Just the right amount of support for her 3-mile walks, plus compliments all over the place!

Love the fit for my flat over pronating feet. Great arch support if you have these problems. I have narrow feet, and they fit really well. They are lightweight, yet strong and supportive, but don't look boxy. They fit and are shaped to the contours of your feet. Great design!

I absolutely love these shoes! After running in the PureCadence originals and loving them (but still having a few lower leg issues) I was so worried about the twos that I stockpiled the originals! What a mistake! Finally I was forced to try the twos and now I am worried about some of the reviews saying the threes are like the originals! No! Lol! The twos were awesome for me. I even wear an 8½ in them (had to wear 9 in originals). It is time to stockpile the twos!

I bought these shoes to have a workout shoe with good arch support built in. Just the ticket! I love them. I have plantar fascia, and these sneakers have helped me to be able to workout again. I do find that they have not held up as well as I hoped for the price, but it may be the type of workouts I'm doing (zumba and dance) that have a different kind of movement than the shoes are designed for. I would recommend them highly for running if you have high arches.

I tend to pronate and generally wear inserts in my running shoes, but don't need to with the Pure Cadence. Also, I have IT band issues, but with this shoe I rarely have problems and the shoe doesn't have much of a heel so I'm guessing it forces me to run more on my toes/flat-footed which eliminates much of the pounding that creates IT band problems. I just re-ordered 2 pair (on sale!) since frequently new releases of the same shoe often aren't much the same.

I've been running in Brooks for years now, and these shoes are typical Brooks! I like that these are between a regular running shoe and a minimal shoe. Plus the color is fun! The toe box is great for my wide feet and they don't slip.

This is great shoe for the runner who wants good support with minimalist design. These were my second pair and before these I wore Brooks' Pure Grit, also a terrific shoe!

I love these running shoes. I was an avid Brooks Adrenaline wearer, but decided to try these out. I like that they are less bulky, lightweight, and come in fun colors. I've put 175 miles on them so far and they still feel great. These will be my go to running shoes.

I've had such a hard time finding shoes that fit me well since I have high arches and my feet pronate. They are always too flat and my feet hurt after walking for 10 minutes but the instant I put these shoes on I felt a major difference. It's so nice to be able to work out in comfort!

Love these shoes. I have a very narrow foot, over pronate, and high arches. I switched from the Brooks Adrenaline and they definitely took some getting used to, but I just ordered my second pair. I alternate between these and the Mizunos, but these are my go to for long runs. I ran my first marathon in them and plan on running my second in them as well.

These shoes felt odd at first, really great as I got used to them. It's a snug, narrow fit-more like Nike than New Balance - and they balance a little more forward than most athletic shoes. There's a firm elastic band around the instep that goes all the way around your foot. Great for my narrow, pronating feet.

This is the second pair of Brooks PureCadence2 I purchased. I suffered with plantar fasciitis for two years. Remarkably these sneakers along with stretching and massaging my feet and calves have cured the plantar fasciitis. These shoes are light, well constructed and wear well. I am delighted to wake up with out pain and enjoy my walking once again.

I bought these after owning the Pure Connect. I like them, they have a little more padding (or maybe I am just used to trashed shoes) and seem a smidge wider. I am sort of in between sizes but have opted for the slighter larger ones. My only real issue is that the toe material can get pushed in if you are wearing them for anything other than running and it takes a lot of toe wiggling to get the area to pop back. Yet another fine Brooks product.

I am a multi activity exerciser, running, ultimate frisbee, Zumba, etc. I also over=pronate and have plantar fascia in both feet, including the nasty "pump bumps" on my Achilles. I was in agony before finding these. The toe box is narrower than many shoes, but I like that, The arch is great for me, not too much stiffness, it allows me agility in lateral motion. While I can't tell you it will work for you, I can say it saved my near emotional breakdown from lack of pain free workouts. (The bad pain, not the good, pushed yourself to the limit kind!)

I could not be happier with the new Cadence, the narrower toe box is exactly what I was looking for, shoe broke in within a run or two and is more comfortable, in my opinion than the first version

Brooks PureCadence 2 are my new favorite shoes to run on the pavement in. I began running more on the roads/concrete so I needed a shoe with good cushion/shock absorption. These are great! Typically I run about 3-5 miles 4 times a week. Very comfortable, light, and supportive with a substantial amount of cushioning. The tongue stays put too. I was not sure what size to order so I ordered the exact same size that I wear in Nike and they are a perfect fit. I can't wait to pound the pavement!

I am a walk/runner. I cannot tell you how much I LOVE these shoes! When I run, I usually have knee pain right below my knee caps. That is gone when I wear these shoes! I no longer have the slap slap sound when I run, and my son who runs says that means my form is better. I attribute this to a switch to the Brooks PC2!

These are so comfortable that I bought a second pair for when my first pair wears out. I can walk all day in these and everywhere I go I get compliments on the color. The size is true. The tongue is connected on one side of the shoe so it never gets pushed backwards when you put it on. Great, light shoe. Your feet won't get hot in these either. Very nice arch support.

Love this new pair of Cadence, especially the sewn-in tongue. The shoes feel great on the road and offer the same comfort for my long runs as the previous pair (Generation 1) Cadence I had owned. I switched to the Brooks Pure line, after running in Asics, and have never looked back. Me previous Cadence shoes lasted well over 400 miles and I fully expect this pair to do the same. Just a great running shoe. Period.

Brands I'd also recommend: Anything from the Brooks Pure line.
