Wow, these ran narrow and small. I liked the style and the wide calf was great and fit nice. I am going to return them for a half size bigger and see if that makes the difference.

I was so excited that the boots arrived so fast. They are really nice and the gel sole is greate. The calf on them were too wide for my calf. I am ordering another pair in the just wide calf (not extra wide). This was the 3rd boot that I have tried, but the best so far. Too bad that the calf was too wide. Still trying.

Brands I'd also recommend: The Fitzwell was the nicest so far.

I ordered size 7 WW. I am a true size 6.5, and sometimes WW is not wide enough for me. The size and width were fine, but I was surprised at how wide the shaft was on these. Yes, they are listed as extra wide calf, but the item information says the circumference is 17 inches, based on size 9M. I measured my calves at 17 inches max, and even with thick socks and skinny jeans, there was so much space at the top of the boot, they looked more like galoshes on me. I didn't measure them, but they were more like 19 inches. Since my legs are short and thick to begin with, this was not an attractive look on me. Fitzwell claims to have cushioned insoles and a gel comfort heel, but I did not think this had adequate cushioning at all. Had they fit me, I would have kept them, but I would have added some sort of insert for arch support and cushioning. The color of the taupe boot looks more reddish brown on my computer screen, but what I actually received was more of a true taupe. I thought the variations in shading added character and style to the boot. The leather was a bit thinner than I liked, but fair for the price.
