These are excellent boots. The tan leather color is really nice looking. The quality seems high and they really seem comparable to boots that are much more expensive. I would highly recommend these boots to anyone.

This is a great pair of shoes. I get compliments wherever I go. They go well with both formal and casual pants. The little discomfort (or digging as some people put it) one feels at the front around the ankle area goes away quickly. Nothing to worry about. I like them and wear them all the time. They are my favorite winter shoes!

Wow, what a fantastic shoe! It looks great and fits like a glove. Plus, the shoe does not squeak! I have tried several dress shoes like this and all of them have had problems on my floor at work, not this one. Steve Madden really makes a superior product. I plan on buying a second pair in brown once they are in stock!

Very nice. I really like the old world look of these shoes and they are very comfortable. One sizing note, I wear a 10.5 EEE, but bought a 11.5 D because my correct size wasn't available. They fit great.

Of the 15 or so pairs of shoes I have ordered in the last 9 months I have had about 4 pair which did not fit well enough for me to keep (I gifted them). This shoe is not one of them. Not only does it look great but it feels great. This will indeed become one of the top pair on my wear list. The burnished leather has a dark brown/black look at points of wear, giving it a unique tonal color not quite brown but not quite black. I nice addition to my collection. If you want something a bit different and equal in style to shoes upwards of $500.00, this is it.

How does Steve Madden keep nailing it with uptodate style? I pulled out the wax laces and put in some contrasty hiking boot round nylon laces. - for a more rugged look and not so "dress shoe". Alternatively, Flat laces would look better than the thin dressy ones that come with. With wear, these will be better looking as a boot than a super-shine dress shoe.

No issue with smell as others have experienced. Super style and comfy boot with good traction for winter. I got both brown and black. After 30 days of use practically everyday one of the seams on the wing tip started to separate. Repaired by local cobbler. I get the impression that Steve Madden are style shoes that are cheaply made, but seems acceptable for the price.

Digging these boots so far. Durable and only took a few days of wearing them to get them adjusted to my feet. They run a little wide at top but just a little. And I probably have chicken legs, so that might account for some of it.

Really liked this boot shoe but it just won't work for me. my normal shoe size is 10 1/2 these were too big, the 10's are way too small

These boots are by far my most favorite pair of shoes to wear. I always receive compliments when I have them on. The boots fit well and are very comfortable to wear however my only complaint for them would be the smell of the leather. It's horrible! The smell is like a combination of gasoline and really bad breath, that never goes away now matter how much you air them out.

I love these boots. They are super stylish, and I've gotten a lot of compliments on them. I was worried about the potential for that "gasoline smell", but nothing. Totally normal. Plan on buying a 1/2 size smaller. My boots don't quite fit as snugly as I'd like. I wanted to exchange them, but it was freezing outside, and I needed boots now. If Zappos wants to exchange my used boots for a brand new, smaller pair, they'd be welcome!

These shoes were very close to what I was looking for in this price range and I was surprised that they turned out to be a Steve Madden (a brand I associate with lower cost/quality). They do have a bit of a chemical odor out of the box, but that went away quickly. The leather looked a little plasticy when new, but it looks better now that I have worn them for a few weeks. The sole feels solid and the traction is great (what I need for a cold winter coming up). They look great with dress pants that have a narrower leg opening. I like the stitching detail between the sole and the upper. Overall, I would say that these are fairly stylish dress boots that will keep you feet happy in colder weather.

Very nice looking, feels an fits great. The left shoe, however, makes a noise every time I step as though there's air getting caught in between the sole and the insole. I've truly gotten over it, but it's something to consider I suppose. The leather looks a bit more robust than it actually is, but it's not bad. I would definitely buy another pair of these.

Looked great, felt very stiff. The boot height was right in that area that digs into your shin/akle. The leather was very stiff and would likely break in but that would take away from the look. The stitching and brogue was very nice and crisp.

Nice Triple Threat. Boot at an affordable price. The broguing, the contrast welt stitching, and the (lightly) lugged sole make this boot sporty enough for jeans and khakis, while the dress shoe build also makes these a nice fit for dress pants and even able to pass muster with a suit. Basically, this is a great boot for business travel. Oh, and it's also an all-around nice looking boot. The downside is that the footbed/insole isn't removable and also isn't all that cushy or supportive. The shoe is relatively comfortable, but would be much more so if one could sneak in a Superfeet or Sole insole into it. I'm thinking of tearing out the glued in insole anyway, but it's a bummer that they are not made removable to begin with. Another downside is that the leather on the top part of the shoe isn't as nice looking as the leather used on the toe and the heal. Perhaps some polish will take care of that? Then again, these are cheaper boots and not pricer boots. And for the money, they're well worth it: relatively comfortable, look good with anything, and all around classy. I rated it 4 stars overall, but it's really a lot closer to 4.5 stars. Recommended.

First pair had uneven tanning and a pinhole in the leather. I returned for another pair which just arrived today. This pair I could tell was returned by someone else, but I found nothing wrong with them other than they felt too large for a 10.5 . . . returning this pair for 10's. Service from Zappos is very quick.
