I love these boots! I've been looking for new low-heeled boots for some time and this is the most comfortable pair I've ever owned - and I've owned many. They are very well made, sturdy and comfy. What I love most is the calf width. As other reviewers noted this is perfect for women with larger calves. Mine measures about 14" and this boot fits perfectly. I highly recommend this boot!

Great boots! I love them! Great fit and comfortable. I did get a half size bigger than my normal size and that was perfect. When I first wore them I thought they were uncomfortable and then after an hour they were amazing.

Really liking these. The leather is nice, the grommets on the side are not really noticeable and the outside zipper is definitely on trend. I'm 5'6 and they hit about two inches below my kneecap. Comfortable and well suited to someone with a wider athletic calf. Comfortable, too.

I'm a huge fan of Born boots, the leather is usually of high quality, and the fit is excellent. I have several pairs of Born boots; one style in Black and brown that I've had for 10 years, I wear them constantly 6 months of the year, and they are none the worse for wear. I bought these boots, put them on out of the box and experienced zero break-in time. The big silver outside zipper and a touch of metal studding make them just a little bit edgy. Another great Born and Zappos experience!

Love these boots! They look better in person than in the picture. Very comfortable. I have a high arch and my foot is a little wider than average. The boots were a little tight over my arch at first, but have stretched after a few wearings.

I ordered these boots along with 2 other Born black boots. I have a high instep and despite the great style and nice, sturdy leather, I am returning these. This particular style is not suitable if you have a high instep. Other than that, they are a great looking, well made pair of boots.

Born boots seem to run a little narrow, so I ordered a 1/2 size bigger. It still seemed a little tight on the ankle and I was concerned that I would end up with sore in that area in time. Thankfully its been about a month of wearing them and they have gotten looser around that area since. It still touches my ankle but isn't rubbing which could lead to a blister or sore. I really like the look of the boot and they are comfortable. I do have a high arch which I think I will need to eventually get an insole to provide a bit more support. Someone with a moderate arch would do just fine. Not too heavy, yet with good tread and some isolation which I think makes them a perfect boot for any season.

These boots are very cute and the quality is excellent. However, the calf on the boot is far too roomy for me. It's very exaggerated, and would look good if it matches the size of your calf, but does not look good on a smaller calf. I'm sad to be sending these back, because I love the style and haven't found any others I like as much.

The boot is great quality, but looked more like a working boot than I wanted it to with the thick zipper on the outside and the heavy, snow boot-ish sole.

These boots are aesthetically very nice and exceptionally comfortable. However, I don't know how they could possibly be tight on anyone's calves. They gape about an inch of unfilled space at the top and I don't know whether it would be worth it to take them to a shoemaker to have them taken in at the top if that's even possible. I have slender legs, but not tiny stick-legs, so unless you have quite large calves, these won't fit right at the top.
