These are very comfortable boots. They truly fit a wide calf without being too snug but are snug enough they dont slide down. I can wear them over or under pants and are fashionable both ways.

I have high arches so I think I'll have to add inserts to the boot but I love how they look! I thought they would be a little more brown (they're maroonish-brown), but I still love them. I've had the hardest time finding wide-calf boots that I actually like, for a reasonable price, and these don't disappoint! I wish they had them in a ton of different colors. My only suggestion is to make sure you wear thinner socks with them.

Loved this boot. However, unfortunately my calf is bigger than wide calf. I never really measured them till after I got these boots and they are about 18". So if you're thinking that maybe you can get these boots to stretch a tad they don't have a lot of give to them. Very sad that I had to send them back but thanks to Zappos that's not a problem.

The downside of these boots is the material. There is no leather involved whatsoever, and the material *feels* very "vinyl" and fake to the hand. However, based on others' reviews, maybe it doesn't look that way to the eye? Despite my concern over the plastic-y material, I am keeping these boots because 1) they look great and 2) they are EXTREMELY comfortable. I have foot problems and rarely venture outside a few extremely supportive brands of shoes. Typically, wearing "normal" shoes leaves me in pain after an hour or so. I had bought and returned 5 other pairs of high boots before trying these. Today (the first day I took them out of the box) I wore these boots for 5 hours, including a Christmas shopping trip to the mall, with NO discomfort. There is nice arch support and the heel height is perfect--not too tall or flat. My calves are about 16.75 inches and these fit very comfortably with tights or leggings. A bit tighter with skinny jeans, but I am hoping they will stretch out a tad. Overall, I'm really happy with this purchase!

These boots look plastic up close. They seem like they would be comfortable, but I am not keeping them. The wide calf is too wide.

I would not have ever thought this was a wide width. I couldn't even get my foot in the boot. The boot looks great otherwise.

The "wide calf" on this boot is not nearly as wide as I expected; I was unable to zip up the boot and have to return it. Very disappointed.
