I put these on when they arrived from Zappos, and since then have enjoyed them so much I actually don't like to take them off! I live in NW Washington, where it rains a lot, and have found that they not only feel wonderful, but they are waterproof! Great shoe!

I LOVE these! They are so comfortable and completely waterproof. I'm a big hiker and these make such a difference on rocky terrain. The toe is firm and I've walked in pretty deep puddles staying completely dry. They are really warm too!

LOVE! They fit well (although they do run on the small side), are very comfortable and provide great support. Would recommend and buy Keen again.

I love Keen shoes, but I do not like their sizing. But the best thing about Zappos is that they have free shipping and returns. These shoes/boots are great. Comfortable, good support, but they run really small. I wear an 8½ and ordered two pairs, size 9 and 10. I wish that I had ordered a 10½. They are a little tight. But they look great, and wear like Keens. They are wonderful!

Keen Bryce. As other reviewers stated it runs half size small. I am one of the skeptical people so I got my regular size AND one a half size larger. I kept the one bigger. It fits nicely, toe space and very light weight. I usually wear Asolo boots so the lightness of the Bryce is a nice change. No breaking in period.

Brands I'd also recommend: more Keens, Merrills, Asolo

Love this light-weight boot. Great fit. Good support without being stiff. I tried a few other boot brands before I found this one and it fits like a glove. Soon after purchasing it I went on a trip to Maine and wore these boots for three solid days without any problems at all. No breaking in required.

Brands I'd also recommend: I do have a Keen sandal that is great, too.

In awe of these shoes. Nervously wore them on a 12 mile hike their first day and they did great! No blisters, no rubbing, no soreness. Because of their weight and support, they feel much like a gym shoe + ankle support. Would recommend to anyone!

I've been a Merrell and Timberland girl for a very long time, but when I developed tendonitis in my right ankle, I needed a high top hiking boot for vacation while my ankle healed. I had good things about keens in the past and found a pair in time for our vacation to Texas. I didn't need to break them in ahead of time and I was able to wear them comfortably with my ankle brace. After wearing them for a week with my ankle brace, they didn't stretch out either. I've been wearing these instead of my Merrells and Timberland for the added ankle support and comfort. They are very cushy and were great for hiking around Texas. I followed the advice from other reviewers and got them a half size larger, size 7 (I'm a 6.5), and they fit perfectly! I also have slightly wider feet and they fit great. Highly recommend these.

I use these shoes for my job which in 90% outdoors and I am on my feet all day. They are lightweight and very comfortable. They keep my feet dry as well. I have had many Keens for work, but these have been great because they are so light and comfortable. I would recommend them to anyone who is required to be on their feet a lot.

I have a fused ankle (because of this my fused ankle and foot are bigger than my unfused side). I had tried 4-5 different boots before this pair. This was the only one that I could get my foot into or which did not fill like it was cutting off the circulation to my foot. On top of this they are very comfortable. Took very little break-in time. I have the green ones, they look cool and I get compliments on them. Just remember with these Keens, order a 1/2 size larger than you normally would.

Keens fit me well generally, so I took a chance on these boots. I got my usual size, but had to go 1/2 size up to allow for hiking socks. First hike I took was an 8 miler, the next day a 6 miler. I wasn't even aware of my feet! So comfy with no break-in required at all. Good lugs, and a good price for comfy, fabulous boots!

For starters, I have always been a fan of Merrell footwear, from hiking boots to slip ons. I thought nothing could beat the quality and comfort of Merrell until now. I have seen Keens everywhere and for some reason I never had the desire to try a pair. I think it's the huge rubber toe cover that's always turned me off, but now I'm getting used to it. I ordered my first pair of Keens from Zappos -- the Bryce Mid waterproof boots. Wow, I never knew I could put a shoe on and immediately feel comfort like this without breaking them in first. While I didn't necessarily buy them for hiking only, I wanted something all-purpose for fall and winter that is waterproof and comfortable but not as clunky as the other Keen boots. Well, I found what I wanted in these Keen Bryce boots. I got them in the Dark Shadow/Hollyhock color -- in person it's a dark charcoal grey with pinkish purple (definitely more purple than the pictures indicate). For once I am thankful for how these shoes fit out of the box: slightly wider than normal, for my wide foot and decent arch support. Needless to say, I think I'm a Keen fan for life!

Great hiking boots! I love the style and fit. The arch support is not exactly as I had hoped, but better than other brands I have had in the past. I use this for hiking, walking and at work. Great product!

Moved from TX to Great Smokey Mountains! Ouch! Used to wearing western riding boots. Converted to these hiking boots last year. Shocked that I had to buy a size 9! Usually wear 7.5, 8 in other boots. Own a working farm, w large & small livestock. Outside most of the time. Have worn these hikers for a year in all weather. Sole fell off (unglued) last week.Currently have duct tape sole back on. Love my Keens! Shopping now for my next pair! I will say the higher top made my ankles sore for quite some time when brand new. This would have to be my only complaint.

Brands I'd also recommend: none.

This hiking boot is really cute; however, it definitely runs short. I wear size 71/2 in street shoes, 8 in tennis shoes, but ordered these in 81/2 and still too short! They looked cute and had arch support so i will reorder in a 9

Keen shoes are the best shoes for the money out there. I am a 57 year old male with osteoarthritis in my knees. Basically I wore them out over my life of running, hiking, and backpacking. I have no regrets. Keens just fit correctly and wearing them provides the proper alignment of my knees so I never have any issues when walking. Over the holidays I hiked to the middle cascades of Yosemite Falls and back wearing Keen Bryce hiking boots and was happy with the support they provided. (In case you are wondering the hike is only 3 miles round trip but the elevation gain is about 1,200 feet in the first mile so it is certainly strenuous.) I always go a size larger when I buy hiking boots to account for thicker socks and for the swelling of my feet over longer distances. The only thing I do not like about these boots is that moisture somehow go into my feet on the above mentioned hike. I did not treat the boots in advance with any nix wax or other product which I normally do. I notice there is a seam that may be the culprit. I have a pair of Alki shoes that are over two years old and which I no longer wear in public as they are thrashed. I use them for yard work and they are still waterproof. So with all this said I endorse these boots and will probably buy the low top version for summer.

Brands I'd also recommend: For me it's Keen--though Merrell, Ecco and Aslo are also a consideration.

Very comfortable and supportive shoe. Not built for extreme terrain, but a good choice for general use. Enjoy that Keen fit! I am a size 7.5, and the size 8 fits well with mid-weight socks.

I liked this shoe - it had great color and was comfy but I was not fond of the ankle height. This is a personal preference and not a manufacturing flaw. I'm a big fan of Keens and own several pairs. That being said, the sizing is always a little wonky. I did order a 1/2 size larger than I normally would but it did feel a little too big. This, perhaps, would not be an issue if one was wearing thicker socks or hiking steeper terrain. Alas, I had to return but purchased another pair of Keens instead. I love you Zappos!

I love the hi-top look of these keens and the amazing, cushioned footbed, but these boots were oddly narrow across the widest part of my foot in the the toe box. After a half hour, my feet ached. I ordered my regular 6.5 in this shoe, which may be the problem. I love the style so much, I'm going to try a half size up, but I have my doubts.

As usual with Keens, I had to order a half size larger than what I wear in other shoe brands. Loved the look of these but had to return them because they were oddly narrow over the top of the foot toward my ankle. And because they are water proof, the sewn-in tongue didn't allow for loosening. Not sure if it was a one-off issue.

This is my second attempt at a Keen boot . These arrived quickly despite the snowstorm. Go Zappos! I ordered up a 1/2 size as advised by the other reviews but they felt snug and a bit short in the toe box. I've been stomping around the mountains in the same pair of raichle hiking boots for over 10 years and they just gave up the ghost so I'm shopping to replace them. A tall order it seems! Love the way Keens look so I'll try again. They seem better suited to light walking and flat trails not mountains and heavy trails.
