I have been combating plantar fasciitis, shin splints and knee problems for over a year now, all my years of jogging catching up to me. I see a sports physical therapist, got some gait training, compressions sleeves the works. I finally sought out "foot solutions" to get a custom orthotic for my extremely high arches, but instead tried these shoes on and immediately decided to buy them instead. Two weeks I've had these shoes and I have almost no shin and knee pain. I've always gone with "less is more" on running shoes and this pair was a little more clunky than I was used to but the support it provides is bar-none. They took no time to break-in, they are immediately comfortable and supportive and I can wear them from sun up to down with no discomfort and for me, who really loves my flip flops, that's saying a lot!

This is the most comfortable running shoe I have ever owned. Works well with orthotics as well. This shoe has a gel pad bottom that makes it good if you are on your feet at work.

I'm an over weight, over-supinating, high arched woman. I originally bought these to help stabilize my walk and for reduction in hip pain coupled with stretching. Sadly, I don't stretch like I'm suppose to, but 95% of the hip pain is gone. I'll be sad when they quit making them (Brooks keep them coming in this style and design). Definitely a satisfied customer. I'm also glad that zappos.com has them in W width because many stores do not have them readily available.

I have very messed up feet! Thanks to a quack doctor I went to 25 years ago, so therefor I have a really hard time finding shoes that I can wear. After beginning to panic about wearing closed in shoes for the upcoming winter, I decided to give these shoes a try. I am able to wear these shoes! So my panic days are over. One of the very nice customer service people recommended these shoes and they are awesome. I tell people I know, that someone with normal feet and toes, would really love these shoe, because I do not have normal feet and I love them! Thanks to these shoes, my toes will not freeze this winter.

I will be keeping these! As a power walker with ankle pronation and a Morton neuroma, and a penchant for colorful, cheerful workout wear, I am always on the lookout for trainers with plenty of footbed cushioning and support around the collar, as well as some fashion zing. These shoes are supportive and comfortable right out of the box. I ordered the 10.5; I wear a 10 in a dress shoe. I have rated the shoes "true to size" even though I suppose I should say "runs a half size small", but I generally buy a 10.5 or 11 in an athletic shoe. The ball of my foot will usually start burning right away as soon as I take a few steps, if the pressure in the insole is wrong for me. This didn't happen, so I am happy! And the collars fit very comfortably around my ankles, which feel good and stable. Length and width are just fine. I am wearing the shoes now with a fairly thin below-ankle sock that has no built-in cushioning of its own; if the shoes stretch some I might wear a thicker sock. The shoe seems to have sufficient cushioning and I don't expect to need to enhance it with special socks, but we shall see. I did not give the shoe five stars for style because the design is a little more Space Odyssey than I prefer (I would go more for a more fun hot orange, zingy lemon, and zesty purple combination, and something a little less chunky overall!) but I am okay with the blue, black, and titanium featured in this shoe, as well as with its proportions. The shoe is not heavy but has a sturdy appearance. Thanks Brooks and Zappos! Off for my walk in a few minutes, after I run fleet-footedly in my new Glycerin 10s up and down the stairs a few times to finish up today's laundry chores!

Brooks Glycerin 10 is a good shoe for an underpronator or supinator, which is my problem. I have very high arches and a very high instep. This is a neutral shoe which doesn't make my problem worse. (I tend to walk on the outside of my feet.) It has a good amount of toe room, which I need, and it happens to have some mesh right where my tailor's bunionette is located, which is good. However, I can't wear these shoes for longer than an hour because the overlay squeezes the top of my foot. The top of my foot is sensitive because I'm having problems with my very high instep, very high arches, and also I have plantar fasciitis and metatarsalgia. This shoe doesn't have enough arch support for me, but that's okay because I have to wear custom orthotics anyway, and my custom orthotics provide the arch support. I have tried this shoe in the regular and wide width, and I still have problems with the overlay squeezing the top of my foot (instep). It's not always obvious when I first put the shoe on, but after wearing it for longer than an hour, the whole top of my foot hurts and I have to unlace the shoes.

At first I was not sure. I had several blisters on the back of my heels after running about 5 miles in them the first time and the arch in my right foot was really sore. I figured it was just getting them broken in and it would subside and it did. They work just fine. They are really cute and I don't get blisters anymore or the arch pain. Great for running, they are very padded and breathable. They are a little pricey though. I think Brooks makes shoes that are just a good for a lower price. I bought the Brooks Ghost running shoe for much less and they are really about the same to me.

I was fitted in these shoes by a running shoe specialist. I needed something that would support my custom orthotic properly while I'm walking. Out of several expensive shoes, the gentleman saw that my stride was proper in this shoe and also had me take the 1/2 larger although I wasn't aware of the need. I've worn the G9 for over a year - great shoe!

These shoes feel like pillows on my feet. They are very cushioned and supportive. I am training for a marathon and was fitted in these shoes at a running store. They will go the distance. I am very happy with them.

Those of you who have narrow feet will love this shoe. You know how hard it is to find a running shoe that fits -- and this Brooks model is the ticket. Not only that, but it has great cushioning, and looks and feels well-made. I like the gunmetal gray/hot pink combo, too.

Very well made super supportive shoe. I ordered a size 8 needed a size 8 1/2 unfortunately they are sold out. Have them on my waiting list. I have been having issues with my arches hurting and my toes going numb, I think these would have solved that but sadly they are sold out.

I had been running in the Glycerin 9 shoes. When they upgraded, I wasn't sure if I wanted to go to the current Glycerins, so I took the next step and found the Glycerin 10 shoes. Although I wouldn't say these are inexpensive and I usually try to stay under $100, they are worth every penny - especially if you are prone any time of heel, arch, or overall foot pain. They are everything I hoped they would be in comfort and support. Outstanding shoe!

Glycerin 10 is the perfect shoe for narrow high arched feet. I order one size up from my dress shoes and the fit is perfect with just enough room for summer run foot swell. Periodically I did get plantar fasciitis in one foot, wearing the Glycerin 10 eliminated it. Pre discovering brooks Glycerin 10 I was wearing Brooks Ghost for years and loving it but something changed in the arch and fit with Ghost 5 so I switched Glycerin 10. I wore out 2 pairs off Glycerin 10s from constant wear (never wanted to take them off). I tried a Glycerin 11 and it just wasn't the same comfort wise so I just ordered 2 more pairs of the Glycerin 10 while they are still available. The gray shoe is actually quite lovely. I originally had hesitated about purchasing the gray shoe as the picture did not do it justice. I have been able to wear the gray Glycerin 10 on casual work days without getting a second glance (there is a no sneaker policy where I work). The only bad thing about the shoes is they make my feet look longer. Okay, I know I had big feet, but I have had women tell me "dang girl you have big feet" while wearing these.

I absolutely love the Glycerin 10 and have all three colors as the newest Glycerin changed so much and doesn't fit me well. I also do not like the look of the newest style. If I could...I would order more of the 10! I get many compliments on the green especially. I have a big foot so it is always nice to find a great shoe that also looks nice on my size 11 foot! Great service with Zappos too!
