First off, I would like to say that I am not the kind of guy who buys shoes in bright colors. However, I decided to try something new and order these in the blue color. Color choice aside, I would like to say that these are very excellent cross-training shoes. When I was younger, I broke my right ankle and was told that I would need to wear high-top sneakers for the rest of my life to support my weakened ankle. While I have had no problem with my ankle since that time, I have noticed that even with high-top sneakers, my right ankle frequently "rolls" pretty easily when I am using my feet to brace myself while I am lifting heavy weights. After using these Nike Free Havens a few times, I noticed that this did not happen. Maybe I am being favorable to this shoe for some reason, but I paid careful attention to its performance and it is the only sneaker (including other Nike shoes I have owned) which is lightweight enough to allow for free movement during training, but it is also pliable and sturdy enough that you can be confident that you won't lose grip on a gym floor while using your feet to stabilize yourself on any type of surface (my gym has mats, carpet, and concrete). One word of caution, though...order 1/2 size up as these are a little tighter fitting than other Nike sneakers. Other than that, I would say that Nike hit the mark with these! Thank you so much Nike! Thank you too, Zappos...you guys are amazing on your shipping times!

I bought these to replace my old trainers. It was my first time wearing one of the Nike Free shoes, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I had to send back the first pair I ordered because the shoe was too tight in the toe area, but I ordered a half size up and the shoes fit much better. There was more cushioning and support than I expected, but not nearly as much as most trainers. They have worked great for everything I have tried them for around the gym (weight lifting, plyometrics, cardio equipment) and running/jogging. They aren't perfect squats, deadlift, and other movements where a flat shoe is best, but I don't feel the need to take them off like my last pair of trainers. They also don't seem to be suitable for long runs; I've never used them for anything longer than a couple miles. I do wonder about the durability, but they've held up well so far (about a month of daily use). Overall, I am happy that I bought them and am considering buying a second pair.

It is very hard to find shoes to fit my daughter. Zappos returned 2 pair of shoes, no problem. When I called frustrated, not knowing what size to try next, the operator was so very nice and helpful. Third time was a charm. My daughter is sporting an awesome pair of shoes and is thrilled. Thank you Zappos! Your free shipping is the best!

I bought these for my mother who had had a stroke. She needed a lightweight tennis shoe. This fit the bill. It is very lightweight and durable. It allows her to pick her foot up better than the bulky type of tennis shoes, so she has less of a tendency to fall. Thanks so much for this shoe - it is great!

My 11 year old son loves these shoes. We specifically bought them for basketball, and they are working out great. They seem sturdy and durable and provide lots of support. They are also comfortable.

Brands I'd also recommend: Nike is our preferred brand.

I am a Soldier in the military, and I have two pairs. I love them. They are great shoes as long as you order them half a size bigger than other Nike shoes. There is good support with the Nike Free Haven.

By far my favorite pair of Nike training shoes. I own the Nike Free 5.0 Trainers, various pairs of Nike Shox, and these. Order a half size up from what you normally wear. I wear 11's in all my other Nike shoes (including the 5.0 Free Trainers), but the 11.5 for these Free Havens was a perfect fit. Very satisfied with my purchase, can't wait for the next Nike Trainer series to come out!

Heed the size warnings: I have always taken a 10.5 with Nike's Free line. These 10.5s feel like a size 10 - I once got a 10 and they literally feel the same size. Go up a half size from usual and you'll be good to go!

Great shoe! I use these for crossfit. They are the best shoes that I worn for this. I've tried other min drop shoes such as inov8 and New Balance minimus. These work just as well on the lifts as the others do. The big advantage of the Nikes was that I can comfortably run in them also. Overall a great shoe and to me they fit like any other pair of Nikes I've owned.

I work at a local sporting good store in my hometown and I strongly recommend Nike Free's. They are comfortable, flexible and light weight. This is the number one seller on my list and I also recommend ordering a half a size up than regular. I wear a size 10 though in Frees I wear a 10.5.

Brands I'd also recommend: New balance Minimus

I've gotten more compliments on these shoes than any others I've owned. Warning: some people have issues with men wearing purple and will make negative comments, but if you're okay with it these are dope.

Great shoe. Looks cool and good to run in if you have bad knees like myself. Tough on the toes, though and you can be prone to getting blisters if you run frequently for long periods of time.

I have a pair of Nike Free 3+ and think they are very comfortable. These shoes weren't nearly as comfortable as the other "Free" shoes I have tried. The fabric - which is kind of stiff and rubbery and "quacked" with every step. Going to get another pair of Free Run 3+ instead.

Cute shoes but uncomfortable for those with flat feet! Also, they are difficult to put on. I always use a shoe-horn to get these suckers on.

Good shoe. Runs a little big, and a little wide (unlike most Nike mens shoes which fit narrow feet better). Sole feels stiff for a "Free" shoe, but holds up well over several miles and gets more comfortable as you go. Id recommend them; not the best shoe by far, but a good minimalist shoe to mix into your workouts.

I bought these shoes for training, and they were not what I had expected. I am a runner and to me, these shoes provided no support whatsoever. I know this is a training shoe but still there is no foot support. It feels like you are wearing close fitting sandals. Also, it seemed like that breath ability of this shoe was limited due to the fact that it is all made out of a synthetic diamond pattern material; there is no mesh. However, the shoe does fit very true to size if you were to figure out your size on nike.com. I am going to give the free run+ 3.Os a try. I think they will be better fit.

I bought these shoes as I really liked the looks and the weight. Unfortunately as soon as I put them on I instantly realized they were way too tight. I have other Nike shoes, all medium which fit fine. These shoes just run a little tighter than the others. A shame as the looks of the shoes are outstanding.
