Patagonia has got the sizing off on the Fiona line of parkas. I ordered this one in both medium and large. The medium was uncomfortably tight in the chest but fit beautifully elsewhere, and I usually wear a Patagonia medium. The large fit in the chest, barely, but was overly large in the waist and hips, and was long in the sleeve. I have had the same fit problem with the Fiona Ultralight, and other reviewers agree. These are beautiful coats that light, warm, stylish, packable, and practical. But Patagonia needs to get the sizing straightened out.

I really wanted this jacket to work but the short and skinny of it is... if you have notable boobage this parka ain't going to work for you! I am a 40DD and the large fit well everywhere except for the chest, uncomfortably snug and the girls were notably squashed. Not a good look. I also tried the XL and it fit nicely in the chest but was 'sail-like' everywhere else. Definitely a no go for me. :( Oh, and I read a review somewhere that said this coat must be zipped up to look good. I didn't understand what the reviewer meant when she said "it sticks out at right angles when it's unzipped" but now I know, and agree, at least on the new 'out of the bag' jacket. Maybe it softens down after wear and isn't a problem after a while but when I unzipped both sizes of parka that I tried, it's like the side seams want to swing out away from your body causing the jacket to stick out at a funny angle.

This down coat is too thin for cold winter. Good color and styling but it is not practical. Sorry, has to return.

First, I have to say, Zappos, you are the most amazing company I've ever ordered from. I got this coat in less that 24 hours! As for the coat, I love it. It helped, however, to read all the reviews, and after receiving the coat, I agree with the consensus. I am 5'7", 125 lbs, size 4 in clothing, but thankfully I had tried this coat on in a store to know to order a Medium. Sizing says I should've ordered a small, but thankfully I didn't. The Medium, however, fits amazing. Wonderfully tailored. I also will only wear this above 15 degrees, otherwise would need the outer parka for colder days.

I love this jacket! I normally have a problem with sleeves that are too short for my long arms, but not this time. The fit is great, form-fitting where you want it to be and very comfortable. With a layer or two I have worn this coat in freezing weather and have been quite warm. Maybe because it's winter people are starved for color, but I get so many compliments on my bright blue stylish parka.

I ordered this coat in a medium. The product size guide said it would fit bust measurements 36.5-37.5. This does seem small for a size medium, but it appears to be accurate. At a size 37.5, the chest is a little too tight, and I am returning for a larger size. The sleeves do seem quite long. Overall, a very pretty color (blue), super lightweight, neat lines, contrast lining, interior drop-in pockets. and zipped hand warmers outside. I look forward to the large arriving soon!

The Patagonia Fiona Parka fits like a glove and is warm the way you would expect it to be. I am petite at 5'4"/125 lbs so this jacket lays nicely with the contour of the body. It also packs well in travel bags since it's so thin. Highly recommended!

Beautiful parka. Really wanted it to work but had to return. I am a size 4 so I ordered an S. It was snug under my armpit when I lift my arm with a light sweater. And when it is not zipped, the material in the bottom appears stiff that it flips out. I suppose it is because of the very thin style down.

I love this coat! First, it is very thin. The package seemed way too small that I thought Zappos made a mistake. It does not feel like a bulky jacket. I can unzip from both ends on a warm-ish day or bundle up. On cold days (20s) I layer it with a light fleece and scarf which keeps me way. I went with the reviews and bought a medium (I am 5'5' 130 pounds). It fits well in the chest and I can easily layer. My only complaint is that the fabric tears easily. I already, after six weeks, have a small hole where feathers are sticking out of. Luckily Patagonia has an excellent return/replacement policy.

I love my Patagonia down sweater jacket in a size small and wanted a longer version of same coat because I love the weight. I agree with other reviewers. The sizing is off on this parka. I ordered a small and would not be able to get a sweater underneath. It is very good, just not quite large enough and I think the medium would be too big.

I needed a long winter parka for the past 10 years since I moved from Chicago to Minnesota. It's quite a bit colder here and I need something to cover my butt and legs. That being said - I'm 5'1" and 112lbs. For a long time I resisted and just wore waist coats because I didn't want to look swallowed up in a huge, ugly, puffy thing. I got tired of being cold (10 years later) and decided to bite the bullet and get a parka. I was so pleased when I came across this one in my search. The styling sold me but it's going back. Yes, the down fill is 800 and it does fit beautifully. I purchased an XS and I could even wear a sweater underneath but my upper body is small and that is usually the case. It is fitted and looks amazing for a long winter parka but it's thin - really thin. I would wear this with weather above 15 degrees. I wanted a coat that would keep me warm below 10 degrees and especially below zero (frequent here in MN winter). The point was I didn't want to have to wear 6 layers under my winter parka which with this coat you would have to do. It's a shame because the style is beautiful and it does flatter, not swallow. Sadly, I can't keep it so I'm exchanging for something I know will keep me warm. The North Face Metropolis is my choice. Not nearly as fitted but not terribly bulky or boxy either. Warm and still kind of cute for the desired purpose.

Great fashionable jacket, but not really that warm. Great for a mild winters, or cool fall day. Very comfortable in the car and not bulky. Sharp looking and if you are tall or have long arms, they have plenty of room!

The cut of this coat is not flattering. I am 5"7", around 150 pounds with a slight pear shape. I ordered this coat in a large based on other customer reviews, but felt the fit was a bit sloppy. Patagonia normally has such a beautiful fit, but this coat had a strange bell shape from the waist down. This is not an area that I need emphasized by a strange cut!

Pretty, light-weight coat. I love the color and the style is good, but the sizing is very strange. I am 5'4" and 118. I usually wear a 4-6 so I bought a size small. Even on my small frame the Fiona is tight across the chest and the sleeves come to my fingertips. The medium would unfortunately be too large so I ended up just returning it. I have another long Patagonia "sweater" coat similar to this that I bought a couple of years ago; the fit is much better and the sleeves are proportional. I wish Patagonia would go back to that fit, which is fantastically flattering and comfortable.

I wanted to love this coat for its lovely color and light weight warmth, but I had to return it. First was the sizing. Other reviewers indicated it ran large, so I ordered my normal size (S) and one size larger (M), and both were too big. Second, the coat looked quite odd unzipped. It is cut to hug your curves, which works when zipped, but when unzipped the hips stand way out from your body, like wings. Maybe it looks better when it fits - I could not determine that as the next smallest size was no longer available.

I bought this last year. I loved the style, but I freeze if it is below 35°. It is lightweight and looks great but I will not be wearing this in the cold New York winters. I do not feel it was worth the price I paid. I wish that I had sent it back.

First of all this jacket is a "slim fit" which I didn't notice when ordering. Anyway nice coat but not warm. I put it on and stood outside for 10 minutes at 11 degrees and I was cold (I even had long johns on under my pants). I order this and the Northface metropolis parka. The NF parka is much warmer just wish it came in this blue color. :(

I love the cut and color of this coat but it's not warm at all. The wind whistles through the seems. I kept mine because I wear big sweaters under it and it's very light and packable. It's very well made but not a winter coat.

It fits strangely. It is snug in the waist and big in the shoulders. The sleeves are too long and huge. It is a pretty color, but it is going back.
