It' a nice pair. It seemed a bit tight towards my arch, but after trying them on the second day, they seemed to fit better.

I wish they had more colors, cause I would buy 3 pair. The best running shoe that I have ever purchased. Totally comfortable. I used to own Nike, now all I do is buy NB.

Because New Balance won't say this: It's like owning a pair of Nike Free running shoes but with ample support and in the perfect width. I've run in New Balances and Asics for about ten years now (15-20 miles/week; 180 pounds, former linebacker), and I'm simply not sure how this lightweight shoe provides tremendous support, but it does. This shoes responds quickly and provides all the support I need.

Brands I'd also recommend: Asics

Perfect sneaker, great support. This sneaker actually sends me money each month now that is support. All kidding aside NB is the best sneaker in America North or South. NB gives you an option that Nike does not, you can get wide sneakers. Not everyone is skinny Nike waffle people. RickyDarts

Brands I'd also recommend: I honestly would say asics is good if you like to run, at least they were when I could run.

I bought this shoe after running a number of half marathons and a full marathon in a few pairs of 890v1's. When the NB 1400 came out last year, I bought a pair, hoping to put some miles into a shoe with a lower heel-toe drop (4mm) compared to the 890 v1 (12mm). 4mm HTD was too low for me, and I felt like the 1400 did not offer enough support (yes, I know it's not designed to). This shoe's HTD (8mm) was a nice compromise between the 1400 and the 890 v1. I've got ~50 miles into this pair of 890 v2, and I've loved every minute of it. They're light with good support for my mid/forefoot supinating foot strike. I'll buy another pair as soon as these wear out!

These shoes are awesome. They fit perfectly and are so comfortable especially with the New Balance orthotic insoles. If you are a runner these New Balance shoes are for you. And as always, Zappos rocks!

I love this shoe. I am incredibly active doing weight training, sprinting, agility training, and etc. I have bad feet and ankles and this shoe really offers me a lot of support. Plus New Balance is one of only a few shoe companies that offers wide width shoes.

I mainly bought these because I liked the color but it turns out they are an awesome running shoe. They are noticeably lighter than the cheaper New Balance shoes that I have purchased in the past without giving up any of the support/cushioning. I really like how they came with 2 pair of laces, one blue to match the primary color of the shoes and another pair in green like some of the trim.

I really like these shoes. I did my research and tried a couple different brands before choosing these. They are my first pair of running shoes in the more "minimal" style. I just couldn't go all the way to the minimus. I was surprised at how light weight they are, but how much cushioning they provide. Also as others have said, the toe box is smaller, but I didn't find that to be a problem. I actually like it. The mesh is nice too and provides good breathing/cooling for the feet. I did notice a difference in the minimal design. I seem to be using more/different muscles, felt it particularly in the calves and shins, but not in a bad way. After a couple weeks, they felt so good I started to get overconfident and raised my mileage and pace too fast and aggravated a heal spur. I don't fault the shoe for this, it was just that comfortable and I thought I could push it. I would recommend these to anyone from novice to advanced. They're by far the best running shoes I've owned.

These shoes are awesome. Other reviews I had read said more or less the same thing, and they were right. Very neutral and incredibly lightweight. They have a feel similar to the Asics DS trainers from a few years ago. If you have shin splints and are wearing stabilizing shoes, the shoes could be the problem. Try these and a level course instead of hills. At first, they felt tight, but they loosened up on the first run and quickly formed to my feet. Really flexible! Nike shoes give me blisters and Brooks shoes hurt my arches. These get a thumbs up.

Super light weight. Initially I didn't know about the fit, seemed a bit tight compared to other New Blanace shoes I'd bought (got the standard width). After about a weeks wear at the gym they fit great. Lightest shoe I've ever owned. The laces are really cool and the red reflective N badge up front really stands out.

Lower than the original 890, more cushion, and still super lightweight. I still love and run in my old 890s but the colorways on the new ones are great. Theres more padding in the heel of the v2 and right out of the box I ran 5 miles, no problems. My purples are usa constructed which is nice to know too. The width is a smidge tight but once you start running, I dont have a problem.

For the past 8 years I've been running in a neutral Nike Air Moto. I've had a few different pairs, and have always been happy with them. For whatever reason, I decided to head to the store and try out a different brand with a neutral fit. After trying on a pair of Nike, Saucony, and New Balance I settled on the 890v2. They were the most comfortable, lightweight, and I liked the idea of the lower heel drop (9mm I think). At first I was worried they would be a little snug in the toe box, but this has never been an issue. The shoe fits like a glove, they have the perfect amount of padding, and are light enough it feels like I'm not wearing anything at all. So far I've put about 60 miles on these shoes, and I love them, not a single complaint. I also think they look pretty cool.

Overall, a very good running shoe. Very durable; I've put nearly 400 miles on these shoes and there still in good shape. I had a problem with some rubbing on the top of my foot in the toe box, but as I broke them in, that went away. This shoe has an 8 mm drop and I've discovered I prefer a 4 mm drop. This was my first pair of New Balance and I'm impressed with the quality of the product.

I bought these for my partner because he has a previous version of this shoe and he fell in love with the color scheme of this one. He's worn them a few times to run and he says they work great - he doesn't have the problem with the heel that others reported.

Very light shoes. After a summer of fairly good use (20-40 miles/week) I'm finding my achilles tendon area to be sore, almost like an ankle sprain. I wonder if it's this more neutral shoe? I've always worn more traditional shoes. The shoe has also seemingly lost some of its cushion - more quickly than my other shoes. Finally, this shoe is great on roads and smooth trails - not recommended on rockier terrain. It serves it's purpose - a very light trainer, but it seemed to wear down too quickly.

I have two Version 1 models of this shoe. When Version 2 came out, I ordered it in the same size. However, upon receipt, it felt much tighter. I noticed that it was much more dense on the inside (the rear part of the shoe that touches the achilles tendon). I thought this was very odd so I wore it inside of my house in case I need to send it back. Sure enough, after just a few minutes, my achilles tendon started getting tender. Next day, I had a blister. I am shipping it back and have already ordered (Zappos should give you immediate credit if you are just changing sizes instead of having to wait for credit upon receipt) the next size up. I got those and have yet to try them on, however.
