The zipper is badly made and the pleather was pretty mediocre material. I returned them and got the Steve Madden version.

These combat boots are the perfect style! The sizing runs a little big so I ordered a half size smaller and they fit great! The only downside is trying to get them on easily using the zipper without having to untie them. Since the zipper runs down the back and stops right above the heel, it is completely impossible to tie them tightly and still get them off. I did manage to tie them super loose and get them off using only the zipper, but they didn't look right that way. I'm pretty sure I'll be returning these.

These boots are supposed to be boots you tie yourself into and the zipper is so you can peel the boot top down and reveal the lining. There is not much cushion in the foot bed but there is flexibility. Based on the quality of the upper and the sole, which has already worn down in the past few wears, I am unsure of how long that boots will last. The laces are shoddy quality and I replaced already. Overall, good buy for the style and the price but not a quality boot if that's what you're looking for.

While these boots are super cute, I could not get my heels into them. The zipper did not go down far enough, so the only way I made my heels fit was with lots of grunting and pulling, and I do not have large feet. These boots would be awesome if the zipper went down farther.

Because of the way the zipper stops at the heel, this shoe is impossible to get on without unlacing, which pretty well defeats the purpose of having an (ugly, unmatched) zipper in the first place.

These boots are cute enough, but given the choice, I'd choose something different. My first issue is the quality of the material - maybe this is a problem with a lot of mid-range boots these days, but I just didn't find the material to be as nice/sturdy as it looks in the picture. Also, the hooks for the laces are not equally spaced and are in slightly different locations on the left and right boots. My main concern, however, is a functional one: the zipper, while it appears to be a useful way of removing the boots without unlacing them, is not helpful at all - even unzipped all the way, the boots are not loose enough to take off unless you loosen the laces as well, which is a real pain given that the shaft alternates between hooks and grommets (eyelets) for the laces. This makes the putting-on process a bit of a pain as well - it's tough to describe, but when you try to do it, you'll understand. The laces just don't want to co-operate and stay hooked while you're also trying to keep them snug. While they are comfortable enough and look cute with skinny jeans - and the folded-down top look is certainly unique - overall I am disappointed and would not buy these boots again.

Hard to tie, with cheap plastic laces and almost impossible to get in and out of without relacing the entire boot. Madden has a much better shoe (the Troopa) with a similar but much nicer look and feel. These are going right back where they came!

I had been looking for a lace up boot that also folded down and was excited to see these at the affordable price. But I guess the price indicated its quality. The boot material is really thin and flimsy and has a plastic-y feel to it. They feel like they wouldn't last long at all and don't look that great on because of the cheap quality materials. The back heel part really dug into my heel to the point where I was afraid I would bleed. Sadly I will send these back and keep searching.

I chose these boots as a compromise over the more expensive Steve Madden Troopa boot. I wish I had spent the extra cash and purchased a higher quality boot. This boot is made from very low-quality imitation leather and it looks cheap. The laces are weak and break easily. The zipper in the back is ineffective, and it doesn't zip down far enough to allow enough ankle room to put the boot on comfortably. It took me completely unlacing the boots and unzipping the back to be able to get my foot in. The structure of the heel support also makes it hard to get your foot in the boot. Finally, once on, the boot itself offers very little support. Overall, I wore these boots about five whole work days and consigned them. They weren't worth the money, and they were poorly made out of inferior materials.

I walk quite a bit, and within a month of wearing these shoes, the soles were broken and the heels worn down. I do not recommend this shoe if you actually want to hear it consistently.

These shoes are cheap. They look cheap and they feel cheap. They're also designed very poorly- the zipper in the back doesn't go down the heel of the shoe, so you have to completely untie the laces in the front to put them on and get them off. It's an annoying hassle. So, don't plan on buying these.

The overall look is incredibly cheap. You do not get what you pay for. I bought another similar pair of Roxy boots for the exact same price and they look amazing. For these cheap looking boots I would expect to pay more around the $30-$40 range they look like plastic, the zipper in the back looks really cheap. I have thin calves and feet but I would say I'm still in the normal width range and the sides touched when I laced them tight and still could have laced them tighter. The ankle also bunches really weird and gives a cankle look. The soles look plasticy and like they will crack the first time out. Also the toe was built in a way where it makes you feel like you're wearing clown shoes. I am returning these immediately.

What is the point of making a boot with a zipper up the back if you have to untie the entire boot to get your foot in? Very cheap in appearance. And impossible to get your foot in without undoing the laces all the way down.
