Very nice looking jacket. Red is a great color. It's not lined, though, and what we really need is a lined raincoat for chilly, rainy days. So I will return it for that reason. Otherwise, it's a really cool raincoat.

While this jacket was comfortable on my son, it is just so cheap that I can't justify paying this much for it. It's really nothing that you couldn't buy at Target. Really. No lining, no velcro for better fit, no vents, no lining. Very, very minimal. This jacket should really cost about $20, at the most. I gave two stars for that, but it's fine on comfort and fit. So happy that Zappos is such an amazing company to make returns easy. I really appreciate that.

Overall, a good raincoat for boys. However, we found it runs small. I have a 10 yr old who usually wears a 10-12, and I had to order an xl for him in order for him to get more than one season's wear out of it.

This jacket is very light weight. It is best for summer and spring rainy days. There isn't any lining (other than the mesh inside) so if you use it in the fall then you'd have to layer it. My son loves it because it is so light and easy for him to get on and off but I wanted something a little heavier. Overall, a good rain jacket.

This coat was perfect for my son. Fits true to size. Only think I did not like was the Velcro pieces over the zipper. It was hard to zipper because the zipper kept getting stuck on the Velcro pieces. The Velcro also pulled the inside lining of the coat. I like that the arms have elastic by the wrists.

This coat is unfortunately not what it seems to be. First of all it has no lining which makes it super thin, so unless you live in a warmer climate and only need it for those rainy days then maybe it is ok but definitely not for this price. It is way too expensive for this quality. Second of all it is not true to the size. It runs kind of small and short, too, so unless your child is skinny and short I would suggest looking for a different coat to purchase.

Very small for size 6, very short torso fit, and super thin flimsy jacket - not what I expected from North Face. The LL Bean version is much more substantial surprisingly, but we will keep it as a very light weight windbreaker/rain jacket because it can be compacted tightly and my son really likes the color. I lined up the size 6 against the LL Bean size 4 and they are identical.
