I've been plagued by bunions and tailor's bunions, which were removed via bunion surgery about a year ago, as well as aching knees (patellar tendonitis) and hips from running. While the bunions are happily gone, my feet have spread from walking around barefoot for a good while before surgery, so finding shoes wide and supple enough while not flaring my knees/hips are difficult to find. The Lucy Lites are wonderful. Before they stretched, they would hurt my big toe joints (where the bunions were) a little, but they strechted soon enough, and are now like wearing socks. I've worn them nearly every day for more than a year, and they're still going strong. I don't wear them for running beyond short distances because my feet are still a bit wide for them, but I do for strength training. They look a bit strange at first--my mom said they reminded her of Japanese children's shoes--but these are fairly inconspicuous as barefoot / "comfort" shoes go.

I absolutely love these shoes! They are very comfortable and I wore them right out of the box. They are nice for light workouts as well as for everyday wear. I have gotten so many compliments on these shoes and I recommend them to everyone looking for comfortable everyday shoes!

First a caveat: I use these shoes for walking, not running. That said, I love them. I tried on many pairs of shoes trying to find a truly comfy pair, that were also cool looking. My feet are really wide - I compare them to duck feet. These are perfect for me. Despite what other reviewers have said, I find these to be actually true to size in terms of length. However they are quite wide, which is part of the 'barefoot' design. (You can get lots more info on barefoot technology from the Vivobarefoot website, which is what I did). I also think they are terrific looking. Fitwise, they are super flexible on the sole, but the top fits snugly, and the heel holds my foot perfectly. They are meant to be worn without socks and are indeed super comfy like that - absolutely no discomfort or breaking in period. However, please know that they are 'barefoot' shoes. There is very little support, so don't do what I did and immediately take multiple long walks/hikes in them. Despite the fact that I was walking, not running, I was still sore. Again, the website (and other places on the web) can give advice on how to slowly build up to using shoes with minimal support. That said, these are pretty sweet.

I'm a convert to minimalist running and these shoes provide the right balance of less shoe and protection from the elements. They are also decent looking and keep my feet dry. They are a little large (I'm between the 42 and 43), but this allows me to wear socks with them. I've run more than an hour in them (not all at once) and they're wearing well and (for a minimalist shoe) are very comfortable.

This is a cool shoe. The toe box width is perfect. I think they look cool. I have only used them for walking and hiking and they work well. They are even comfortable without socks which is awesome.

These were comfortable, but felt so wide and clompy. I wish the laces were not so far up on top, it makes them look unflattering.

These shoes are pretty cute! They remind me of scuba shoes -- very flexible soles and a rubbery upper with "Suede" detail. They are super light-weight as well. I use them with custom orthotics since there is no arch support and they are the most comfortable thing I've ever worn. Since they're barefoot, they are a little wider towards the toe than most shoes, but I have sort of wide feet so that's perfect for me. Heel is normal width. There have been no weird rubbing problems and I've worn them barefoot for hiking, climbing, walking, etc.

Just o.k. for the price, really ugly. I'll wear these more in the fall when it gets too cold for my five fingers. They are more comfortable with socks.

My favorite shoes ever. Just like being barefoot, only protected. I did go half size larger than usual and they have lots of toe room.

I LOVE these shoes. Props to Zappos for getting them to me the day after I ordered them! They have replaced Merrell Pace Gloves as my non-running shoe of choice. I run in Vibram Five Fingers; any other shoe feels like my feet are suffocating. The Vivos are much flatter, wider and roomier than the Merrells (compare the sole shapes from the bottom & sides). Extremely comfortable; great ground feel, especially if you take out the liner. I plan to order more since this is exactly what I was looking for in a minimal everyday shoe.

I own lightweight running shoes but needed a low profile shoe for cross training. This barefoot shoe has been perfect for the gym floor, i.e. weight resistance training, boot camp style workouts and TRX suspension training. The low profile shoe has been amazingly comfortable and perfect for lateral movements. It has exceeded my expectations. *I have not used this as a running shoe.

I can't give a top rating since I haven't tested them for running yet, although as a casual shoe, it works quite well. I have worn these a couple times and found them comfortable. The insole and sole fit well. Not sure how they'll hold up on concrete and pavement. These seem true to size with just a touch of room for swollen feet, and my medium width feet aren't side-hemmed. The tongue stays in place. The laces are spongy, presumably for grip.

Very cute and the only closed shoe I've ever worn that really felt wide enough on the ball of my foot. The insole is slightly thicker than the insole in other vivos but since I don't run I can't say that's a negative for me.

I wear these shoes for walking around and for running. For running you just really have to ease into them though because it uses different muscles.

Okay, so they look a bit like bowling shoes, but completely settled ITB syndrome (knee) problems I was having so highest marks for the comfort and performance of this shoe. Great on all terrains and only took a few days to settle into them perfectly. Happy!

They look exactly like the picture. They are soft and comfortable. It is highly recommended that you order a bigger size than you normally wear.

Most comfortable shoe I now own. Great without socks! Instantly runnable right out of the box. Lots of toe room, appropriately snug at the heel, no abrasion sites. As comfy as a good scuba booty. But a lot cuter. I want 10 of these.

Brands I'd also recommend: Merrell for trails

I very much like the shoe, but it is too wide for my foot, and my husband felt the same way with his men's shoe as well. The shoe is lite and comfortable, but i would recommend the Evo.

I hate the color pink in any form, so you can imagine my disappointment when I opened the box to see magenta pink shoes. I thought they looked a bit too pink in the picture, but since the color is defined as "crimson" I thought they'd be more red. Anyhow...the point is, these shoes are so awesome that this pink-hater is refusing to send them back. I love every other thing about them and that trumps the color. They are stylish, comfortable, fit perfectly, and they are vegan! I never thought I'd wear a pink shoe, but these shoes are keepers.

This is the best minimalist running shoe I've found so far. My feet are really wide, and this shoe is actually wide enough for them. The shoe is also very soft on the inside with no bothersome seams so I can run in them without socks. The shoe also has excellent ground feel. I wear an 8.5 in a traditional, cushioned running shoe, and a size 8 in casual shoes, and I bought these in a size 9 so I would recommend going up 1/2-1 size from your normal shoe size. I marked that it felt true to width because it is advertised as an ultra wide shoe.

Brands I'd also recommend: Stem Footwear,
