Excellent race shoe. This is light and responsive, yet still supports similar to a trainer. I've been running in the Rider for years and have used one other Musha for a bit. This is a good shoe to throw in when you want a lighter shoe to feel fast. Plus the color scheme is sweet.

Great treadmill running shoes! A very light, minimal race shoe. Very comfy for 5K but not for high mileage runs. Great fit, very breathable - I can feel the breeze through the shoes. Maybe not everyone's cup-of-tea but I really like the styling.

I know I'm kind of late to the game but I just wanted to write a review. I've been wearing Mizunos for about 4 years now my previous pair of Mizunos were the Wave Universe, loved them as well as every pair I've bought before. I got the Musha because I felt I needed more cushioning for the longer distances I have been running. They are not the same color as the picture, they are a half size too big, and the toe box is very cramped. The insert feels like an afterthought, as if Mizuno just threw it in there because they didn't want to cover the stitching. As soon as I took the insert out, besides being too big, the shoe's character totally changed, my feet feet fit in them perfectly. I'm probably going to send these back because the color is terrible, and I feel the insert is an important part of the shoe. Now I know why they are on sale.

The Wave Musha used to be a fantastic transitional or compromise shoe for barefoot-style running for those who need a bit more padding. I'm on my 5th pair. Has some arch support so not a shoe for purists. Good pavement and dry trail shoe for walking and running. No tread, so super slick on all wet surfaces, including mossy sidewalks. The Wave 4 is a full 1/4" narrower on the sole and much narrower in the toebox than the same-size Wave 3 so they are not the optimal "flat, wide, flexible" choice they used to be. The fit overall is tight on the forefoot and sloppy in the heel, and I have a narrow, low-volume foot. The upper material is soft and blooming over the sole after just 1 wearing. Not the shoe the Wave 3 was in fit or construction, too bad. Warning to wallflowers - red Mizunos draw a lot of stares and compliments from both guys and gals. This is a can't-beat color, who needs scary pinks and blues.
