Excellent minimalist shoe. Some support and structure with a high-quality upper. It is much more 'minimal' in padding than the Nike Free, Saucony Kinvara, Asics GelLyte33. A bit firm for pavement (at least for me) but good for gym workouts on treadmills and lifting (0 drop).

I had to give up running a couple of years ago. So I was wearing these as casual wear. They are very comfortable, cool looking especially with blue jeans. when you hit 65 years old you need a soft ride. These are it.

These tennis shoes are as light as they come. They are excellent running shoes. If these are your first minimalists, you will have to get used to them. They are as light and good as they come. The color is great, the material is durable, breathable. Overall these are top notch.

Really about the best mid range minimal shoe out there with great fit and extremely light. For those of us who are not hard core minimal runners this shoe can be a bit hard on pavement, which is what I run on...but this can be remedied by taking out the removable insole and putting in a flat spenco insole...these are only $10 and are actually called 'flat insole'...so it doesn't mess with the 0mm drop from front to back. The insoles are only 2mm or 3mm but don't really add any height since they replace the regular insole and crush down pretty much while running, but really take the sting out of the pavement without being more cushioned per se. Back to the shoe, it's running with an air light slipper, featherlight uppers, and a very rugged sole that is fairly flat so you don't feel a bunch of lugs and stuff. I can't recommend it more highly if you are looking for true minimal shoes; however, most people from the reviews, and I found, will need to add the spenco insoles instead of the hard flat ones provided with the shoe if running on pavement or asphalt, just a bit too hard.

As someone still wearing an early version of MR10's, these were an utter letdown and were sent right back. I suppose they might be minimal by someone's definition, but they fit completely different - overall this feels like the fluffy "foot strapped to a marshmallow" sensation that I thought minimal footwear was supposed to avoid. On top of that, it was incredibly disappointing that the same size that fit like a glove in my old MR10s felt bizarrely small, with my feet leaking over the edge of the marshmallow fluff sole. New Balance seriously could have had a customer for life if they just delivered that slipper-comfortable shell in a new variety of colors every year, but I'm suddenly wary of anything with the "Minimus" logo.

I ordered these because I was looking for a minimal, barefoot mimicking shoe available in my size (14 EE). These were everything I was hoping for and more. Insanely comfortable without socks, roomy in all the right places and, so far, very resilient. I could not be happier with them.

I recently purchased these shoes to replace my Nike Free runners. I had previously purchased the New Balance Minimus 0 trail shoes, and really liked them. These shoes were just as nice. I have put in about two weeks worth of running, and have no complaints. They are very minimal, and awesome as a barefoot shoe. I also really like the blue color, as I prefer bright running shoes.
