I love these shoes. They are not my first pair of barefoot shoes but for daily wear they are my current favorites. Cute, comfortable, and sturdier than they look. I wore them at a beer festival where I was on my feet for several hours and came away with no foot or lower back pain; the only other shoes that have even come close to giving me that kind of comfort are my Danskos. I ticked "no arch support" because they aren't supposed to have any, not because I think it's lacking. After three weeks of almost daily wear, my feet already feel stronger and are less prone to cramping. If you haven't worn barefoot shoes before, be prepared for a period of adjustment. If you have and you need a cute pair of shoes, these are just the ticket.

I was surprised that this shoe, being a Merrell, had absolutely zero support and is probably terrible (used long-term) for your feet. However, if you just want something to wear periodically around the house, it's fine, or use an insert for more support. Besides no support, it is nice quality and feels pretty much like walking on bare feet. It is a neutral color and would go with many things.

I am very picky about my shoes. Put these on when I first got them and didn't take them off again until bedtime. Had to wear a spot Band-Aid on my left 5th toe for protection for 2-3 days. The detailed stitching adds to their cuteness factor.

I generally wear size 7.5 C or D width, but some Merrell shoes fit in an 8 medium and this style is one of them. It's a pretty shoe and the sole has a good Vibram grip although not any support to speak of.

These are the most comfortable shoes I own. People either find barefoot shoes uncomfortable or very comfortable (within reason; there are some poorly made shoes of both types out there). If you don't need a lot of support or correction (ie don't pronate, etc) then these might be just the casual shoes for you. I don't like them in the rain (I hate having wet feet), and there are some materials they are not a pleasure to walk on (uneven gravel or incredibly hot asphalt), but I work in NYC, and they are fine for day to day walking on hot city pavements. These are by far and away my favorite shoes; I wear them to work almost daily in the summer and most days when I am at home. They do not get smelly (I do wear small socks that you can't see with them), and they do not move around or cause blisters when you walk. That said, if you have very delicate feet or cannot stand the thought of feeling the textures of the surface you are walking on, you should stay away from barefoot shoes in general. I would buy these and others from their line again (and will when these ones wear out).

I am pretty consistent with a size 10, thanks to my long second toe. the toe box on these shoes starts angling down towards the small toe, so this is a NO GO for me.

I purchased these shoes (tan) over a year ago, they still look great, and they continue to be the most comfortable shoes I own. When they get dirty, I throw them in the washing machine and let them air dry. I wear these shoes with shorts, skinny jeans, capris and khaki or jean shirts. People compliment me on these shoes often, and ask where they can buy a pair. While traveling, they are super easy to slip on and off (at the airport security check & on the plane), also, they are easy to pack (flat) in a suitcase or carry on luggage.

These are very good looking barefoot comfort shoes. I ordered my true size and they're a teeny-tiny bit short - but I knew if I went up a half size, they'd be too big. I broke them in around the house and they gave enough to be comfortable. I run in barefoot shoes, and now can be just as comfortable at work or out.

I bought these shoes to wear for my volunteer job in a hospital this summer, 4 hours a week. I am accustomed to being barefoot and have a very high arch. It is like being barefoot when I wear them, because they have zero support. It works for me. I wish the insole was suede so they would be more comfy without socks. Super cute, but wouldn't recommend them for long periods of standing.

I can only smile when I think of these shoes. I took these on a trip to Europe and wore them EVERYDAY! They were super comfortable and kept my feet from hurting while walking for hours and hours. Mind you I have plantar faciitis in both feet from years of athletics and I was able to see everything I wanted to see without having to stop due to pain. If you are considering buying these shoes, DO IT. You will look great with skirts or pants, they are easy to get on and off (airports!) and they keep your feet happy. What more could you want?

These are incredibly comfortable. I wear a 9.5 or 10 usually, and a 9 fit perfectly. It took a few days to get used to the sole, but I wear them constantly, even standing all day at work. I do wear flats socks with them, and they don't fall off like other flats. LOVE these shoes.

Great shoes. Comfortable right out of the box. First use: tromping around the French Quarter in New Orleans, without breaking them in. Very comfortable, no blisters or rubbing. Coming up next: Germany. Plus I even had comments from teenagers on how cute they were! I have feet that are wider in the toe box area and these fit fine!

Doesn't fit my narrow foot as well as the styles that lace. Even so, the left arch strap was 1/4 inch longer and sewn at a different angle than the right strap making the right and left shoes fit differently. If they were both like the right, I might have been able to put innersoles in the front half of the shoe to take up the high toe box and keep my foot back. Just not the right style for me I guess. Cute, and well made other than that. Oh, and because it doesn't lace, my left (lazy ankle) falls inward...the reason for the no arch support comment. Tried to give it a 4 star overall but it's stuck on 5. Go figure.

This is a review for the Merrell Barefoot Wonder Glove shoe. About me/my foot: I have worn Merrell shoes before, generally hiking or running. I typically wear a 7.5, have an average to very slightly wide foot and a high arch. I walk frequently in anything from metro US and international cities to many off-the-beaten path destinations. I demand comfortable shoes. First, I ended up with the 7, not the 7.5 I typically wear. The 7 fits for me. That said, I think the "feel" of the shoe is not highly supportive compared to other Merrell's where they have excellent arch support and overall feel incredibly comfortable, yet sturdy. But...this is Merrell's offering of a barefoot shoe - so it is not the point in this particular 'barefoot' shoe. If you are looking for the typical support you get from Merrell's hikers/runners, this is not the shoe for you. If you want a dynamite mash-up barefoot with ballet flat - this is the shoe for you. I wanted a shoe I could easily pack (I only travel with a carry-on, so space and weight matter a lot to me). I can jam these shoes into anything, my suitcase, bike pannier, etc. While I insist on comfort, I also want a shoe that looks good too... If I need to walk 3-4 miles around a city and want to be in a summer skirt, these shoes are great. I could envision doing a light hike, but nothing too technical. They remind me of other "sport" sandals, but look much cuter and I would say comparable on comfort (sorry Teva lovers). I gave a 4 out of 5 for comfort. To be clear, I think these shoes are very comfortable, but if I am rating this shoe against my most comfortable runners - they are not as comfortable. Given the shoe design, I labeled it as "no arch support" - at least for me. I have a high arch, but nothing in this shoe strikes/supports my arch, but there is a little padding in the "arch zone" that may be more supportive for people that are flatter footed. As for the comments I read before purchase about feeling like you are walking on pavement...indeed...afterall, these are barefoot shoes... My vantage: I don't own a single pair of standard ballet flats because every pair I have tried felt like the ball of my foot was 'beating' the pavement. That factor, coupled to my heel rub and a tight toe-box, I have never found standard ballet flats to be comfortable or work for me. These shoes are quite comfortable to me and I would definitely recommend them. Happy shopping!

Love these shoes! They are exactly what I wanted and I am thrilled with them. I find the strap and the button hook work great for me. I know others had complained about them, but I like the easy off. They are very comfortable and my favorite shoe right now!

I absolutely love my barefoot shoes! This is my first pair and I hope to buy another pair in another color. I reach for them more than any other pair of shoes. They did take some breaking in, but now I can walk in them all day. I usually wear a 9 1/2 but think I will size up one half size as my big toes hit the front of the shoe. I wear these to work - I walk a lot at work and my legs and feet never hurt. Love, love, love them!

Bunion owners, look no further! These are the best. There is plenty of room for wide forefoot, narrow heel, no pressure points whatsoever. Even though I have very high arches in addition to bunions, and that usually requires arch support, because of the barefoot technology, these shoes make me walk differently so I do not notice a need for extra arch supports. Pinky toe calluses went away entirely, and bunion calluses are shrinking. Now I need a pair for lighter colors. I can get away with the black ones at work, I am not so sure about the lighter colors because the rubber is more visible in contrast.

This is the best pair of shoes I have ever owned. I purchased them, put them on my feet, and went straight to the airport, as I was leaving on a 2 week international trip to Paris and Iceland. These are barefoot/minimalist shoes, so if you get them and think to yourself, "What the heck, I didn't pay this much for flimsy slippers!" these might not be the shoe for you. I wore these every day in Paris and Iceland, and I didn't get any blisters in the typical spots (heels and toes)--I ended up getting a big blister on my left forefoot between my big and second toe on the padded part of my foot--but I didn't know I had a blister--I couldn't even feel it! I think I got it because I didn't ease into wearing these shoes. Regardless of the blister, it was the most innocuous blister I've ever had, so I'm still calling this a major victory. I always feel like I'm falling over when I wear shoes, like I'm off balance and about to tumble. I've not had that issue once while wearing these shoes. I feel lighter on my feet than ever before, and I'm so, SO glad that I've finally found THE pair of shoes for me. It rained a lot while we were in Paris, but the shoes dried rather quickly and I did not have any issues with slipping unless I was walking on a metal surface. Because they're flexible and essentially flat (I think each shoe weighs something like 4 ounces) the shoes wouldn't take up any space in a suitcase (I wouldn't know because I wore them the whole time!) My feet can get stinky, especially in the summer, so I do have some potential future concerns regarding the anti-microbial layer that's infused into the sole of the shoe. It's held up the past 2 months I've had them, but I know you can't just throw these in the washer (vegans beware, the shoe has real animal leather so you'll not want to purchase these). But, I'm about to buy another pair (I bought the black pair first) so I'm obviously very pleased and willing to take the risk of possible smelliness.

I absolutely love these shoes. They are much more comfortable than sneakers, and better exercise for the feet, ankles and legs. Walking outside on grass or concrete is fine, but too much walking at the mall left my feet feeling really fatigued and achy. They are better for outside.

These shoes are sturdy. I have had the same pair for years (or whenever they first came out). They are not water shoes but I wear them for walks on the beach. I often walk in the water and they can take it! I am impressed with the quality. And also they are very comfortable on my aged and problematic feet. They are not particularly cute, but there are not many shoes that are cute on my size 10 1/2 foot.

I hate shoes. But I really liked these. Being a fan of walking barefoot, I decided to give minimalist/barefoot shoes a go. Definitely not for everyone, if you need arch support don't wear these. I bought 8.5 and feel the toe rub, so I'm going to have to size up to 9. Other than that, they're comfortable, look good (I can wear them to work in a semi-professional environment), and wear them out walking or hiking.

At first I thought these shoes were too big (I wear an 8 and the 8 seemed big) but the 7½ seemed too small. I was also worried about wearing barefoot shoes. After having these a few weeks, I am super happy with them. The fit is loose, but that is how the shoes are supposed to be. It took a couple of days to feel totally comfortable walking around in such minimal shoes, but I am used to it now and they are very comfortable. I wear them every day and think they look great with jeans, slacks or a dress for work.
