Purchased for my 10 year old nephew's birthday. He is a DC fan. He was so excited to get the (KY) blue shoes. I also purchased the shirt that matched!

We were very disappointed. My 9 year old son worked very hard to save money to buy these shoes. The first time he wore them was a special family occasion. It started to rain hard and the shoes leaked red dye all over the place. It stained his feet for weeks and stained all of the clothes that it touched. When they dried they were hard as a rock and were left pink from fading instead of the red they once were. The shoe fell apart from the rubber on the sides. I love Zappos and I also think DC is a good brand but this was so upsetting for him to work so hard for something that he could only use one time especially for the money he worked hard to save.

My son skates an average of 5 hours every day. These shoes lasted him about five weeks before a hole wore through on the right shoe on the right side of the toe box (this is the first time that this has happened with his shoes). Overall he found them to be comfortable. We only had to replace the laces one time.

I bought these shoes for my son in time for his 1st day of school. He started wearing them on September 5th. As of today, October 13th, the gray suede portion has a hole on both sides of where his toes bend and the rubber pieces of the upper sole is separating. These shoes lasted just over a month! They are a very good looking shoe and my 9 year old son loves them, but I will be resistant to purchasing this shoe brand again. Looking for a shoe with better reliability.
