Awesomely comfortable! Not the most trendy or stylish shoe (my husband said they looked like something old fashioned) but under slacks they are perfectly neutral and make your foot look narrower and does not draw attention to your feet, which is what I wanted. The heel height is perfect with a nice looking stacked heel and a wonderfully rubbery and shock absorbing sole. I suspect I will wear these with many outfits and often.

Love these boots! I didn't even have to break them in. The heel is placed such that you can hardly tell you have heels on. They are also very comfortable. I have large ankles, and these give me no problems at all.

I recently bought this beautiful pair of shoes and I found I had to order them in a half size larger. They are very narrow and I have such narrow feet and ankles, I was so glad I bought them. They fit better than any other shoes I've bought in the past. I am thinking of ordering them in the other colors. I am so pleased with them, though I had to get them in a larger size due to the narrowness. Now they fit well, look great, and feel so comfortable I don't want to take them off! Also, my best friend is jealous!

These are so comfortable. I just wore them today for the first time and I didn't want to take them off. I have wide feet, so it's hard to find shoes that fit, and these are like a second skin. Love!

Love these waterproof booties! Significantly better looking in person when I discovered them at a local retailer. Purchased a black pair there, then shopped Zappos for the brown suede. Just enough heel height without being difficult in slushy, snowy weather. Great traction without the least bit of bulk or clunkiness. Would love a pair in burgundy, hint-hint! Regarding size, I never wear a wide shoe, but when my usual size was a tad too short and a half-size up too long, the fit expert at the local store suggested I try the wide in my normal size. Lo and behold, it worked perfectly! Thankfully, it doesn't appear wide on my foot!

Great shoe overall,versatile enough to wear with jeans or slacks. Sleek and sophisticated styling - the only drawbacks are that the laces don't want to stay tied, and there is a little tab on the back of the heel that catches on the hem of pants sometimes.

I have severe foot issues and often cannot tolerate even sports shoes very long. I was able to wear these for pretty much a week of work travel, night and day - walking around, standing - you name it. Dressy enough for work but comfortable enough for city walking. Expensive but I think very worth it.

Love these boots...I wear them with jeans, both boot-cut and straight leg and they look really nice. The suede is soft and the color is rich, and as for comfort, I wore them into NYC yesterday, and walked from Penn Station to the lower west side and back, with some stops in between, and they felt comfortable all day.

These are fabulous boots! The heel is the perfect height, a little bit of lift but still very comfortable to walk in. The insole is cushy and they are nice and warm. Lovely shade of brown too, all in all great purchase.

Oh wow - I love these shoes! Brand new, I wore them a full day traveling by air with 2 plane changes (which of course entailed walking through 2 airports) and had no problems whatsoever. My feet did hurt a little at the end of the day, but I attribute that just to normal "wear and tear," so to speak, and not to the shoes. I highly recommend these shoes - you won't regret buying them!

Really nice, comfortable boot. I ordered a wide size to accommodate a heavy sock and it fits great. They are not a high fashion boot but they look nice. Extraordinary comfort too!

I need footwear that is wide in width and has a lower heel to be able to wear for any length of time. This boot was a pleasant surprise. I often have lower back pain after being on my feet for any length of time but the first time I wore these I was able to wear the entire work day with no difficulty. I have worn them during a long shopping day with no discomfort whatsoever. I initially purchased the brown boots and was so impressed that I ordered another pair in black. The suede is very good quality and there is an added cushion around the entire heel that will prevent the heel from wearing down. I wish there were more colors available (gray, navy, red). I often get compliments on the style.

I have a pair of black leather Leyden Bells. I like them so much that I have ordered a pair of brown suede. I have a difficult foot to fit, and these do the job. They are comfortable and sure footed, even in bad weather.

Awesomely comfortable and very attractive. I find them non-trendy, as a previous reviewer noted, which is a plus in my book (really, who wants to look exactly like everyone else?). They can look rugged, androgynous, professional, etc. depending on what you are wearing. I am considering buying another color.

I love these boots! They solved my 'fit' fiasco. One foot is slightly wider than the other, but the lace ups take care of that. And these boots look feminine without having an ultra high heel. Thanks, Zappos!

Really nice boot and true to size for me( that is an 8N). I plan to order the brown suede when it becomes available in my size. I can also use my orthotics in the boot, which is a plus.

Love these Leyden Bell boots. Soft and perfect heal size for running errands, spending the day in the city, or just hanging out. Comfortable right out of the box. No pinching or breaking in required. Wish they came in more colors! Love Zappos customer service and products. I wear an 8W but purchased these in an 8.5W to wear thicker socks.
