Let me tell you about the fit. They run wide, not long. Unlike my feet. On previous reviewer's recommendation, I ordered a size 6, in black, instead of my usual 7. Too short. Today its replacement, (black not available) size 7 Berry Zebra, arrived. It is very wide but a true size 7 in length. Now let's talk color. Berry is not the pinkish red shown in the photo, but mauve. Smoky pale magenta. The fabric is not as fleecy as the black, and probably the tan, but some slightly napped inexpensive synthetic covering. I don't care one bit! Now to function. My back hurts less. My shoulders even hurt less. My hips and, most notably, sacroiliac, hurt less when I walk. I don't mind that I look like a stick figure with upholstered duck feet. If anyone complains, I will redirect them to my strikingly improved mood. Now to plans. When wonderful Zappos and I figure out which of the Orthaheel sandals I have on order will fit, all other usable sandals (e.g., Birks, Naots) will be donated to the homeless shelter. I look forward to actually being able to take walks again. Deo gratias.

Arch support in this slipper is so hard it pushes your foot off to the side when you walk. I can't wear them.

I was looking for house slippers for winter that would give some support. I have plantar fasciitis, so I needed something supportive, but I didn't want them to look super orthopedic! These are both cute and supportive. The only downside is that they do get a bit sweaty if you're doing a lot of housework in them.

My podiatrist recommended Orthaheel slippers as I was diagnosed with plantar fasciiitis. Once I put them on, I threw out every pair of slippers I owned! Since then, I have ordered Orthaheel sandals and clogs. The only time I wear anything else on my feet, I replace the insoles with Powerstep insoles (sold at Zappos and from my podiatrist). I have done the exercises twice daily as prescribed by the podiatrist and have alternated between my Orthaheel slippers, sandals and clogs. Amazing...after six weeks, no more plantar fasciitis. I ordered the Dr.Andrew Weil sandals and clogs. They are both stylish and comfortable.

Good quality, comfortable slippers with a sturdy sole that allows me to dash outside in them. I wear a size 7.5 so I followed the instructions and sized down to a 7. They fit perfectly. They're also adjustable over the top of the foot. Also this was my first Zappos purchase and I was very happy with the service and the free shipping. I'll be back!

I find the house shoes to be really comfortable. Even though they are a bit pricey they are just what I was looking for with firmer soles.

This slipper is well worth the price. I was having plantar fascia pain and walking was extremely painful. These slippers have amazing support. I wore nothing but these for two weeks and my foot pain is gone. They also look enough like shoes to wear to the grocery store and to run errands.

I need to wear these in my house (and sometimes for quick kid dropoffs/pickups in the car) for support. They are definitely roomy & I usually wear with socks. In the summer I wear the open toe Orthaheel slipper.

Heaven in a slipper...I have been searching for a slipper that provided sufficient arch support and comfort out of the box. This is a winner on both counts. Keeps my feet toasty, and is the best slipper I have ever worn.

Love, love, love these slippers! Have worn the flip flops all summer long and needed something warm now and these fit like a glove. I'm a 9 1/2 and sized down to a 9. They fit just like the flip flops. Since wearing Orthaheel my plantar fascia is gone! Amazing!

Just received my Gemma Mule slippers. Nice change from the Orthaheel thongs I have worn all summer long. I am a victim of plantar fasciitis & heel spurs due to wearing cheap high heels most of my life. Thank God for Orthaheel. Anyone who has plantar fasciitis knows pain. The condition is life long & chronic; however, this footwear alleviates much of the discomfort. Love this slipper, super supportive. I have really wide feet, so I made an adjustment to this slipper (Orthaheel would be aghast to hear this). My foot being so wide caused the top of my instep to rub against the fabric and cause slight skin irritation. Even with the adjustable strap it still rubbed. So I cut a small 1/2 inch slit at the very top of the slipper. This solved the problem immediately. You can't even see the cut, it appears to blend in with the fabric and looks like an original design cut. Overall, highly recommend to anyone in foot pain.

Winter's here, and my regular plain Orthaheel slippers, while comfortable, were no longer keeping my toes warm. I don't have finger-toed socks, so my solution was... get fuzzy warm Orthaheel slippers! I could've gotten the plain one in black or tan, but how can you resist this wonderful purple tiger-striped one? It's like wearing a 1970s love van carpet on your feet! Now my feet feel comfy and warm. Oh sure, I've had fuzzy slippers in the past, but they were designed for indoor use. Now I can walk to the mailbox without changing footwear. There's even a little Velcro tab on the side so you can adjust these slippers to fit you just right; how awesome is that? Thanks Orthaheel!

I love my orthaheel sandals and wanted something warm for the winter months. They are quite comfortable with a good arch (although not as good as the sandal). They really are very wide for a medium width and my foot swished around while I walked. I guess it will have to be sandals through the winter.

I purchased these slippers for my wife who is a registered nurse and works 12 hour shifts, most of that time on her feet. She needs an effective arch support as the years as a health care professional have taken thier toll on her feet. She loves her Orthaheel slippers and that's all she wears now when she's home.

These slippers are great. Allow me to walk around the house without the pain I have when I walk without shoes. The adjustable strap keeps my feet secure in the slipper. Love them!

Love these! I work at home so wear slippers all day and not having arch support after several years of that has ruined my feet. I'm thrilled to find these and they are so cute! Expensive for slippers but worth every penny. And the sole is so substantial I'll be able to take the dog out with them on!

I have plantar fascia, and one of the things that complicates my life is finding slippers with good solid arch support. I can't really go barefoot without pain, and most slippers aren't much better. These were recommended by my podiatrist; solid arch, good support, and no torquing. I got the red/zebra pattern which makes them less grandma slippers, at least in my head! I think they could take some getting used to if you're not used to arches, this is solid though; these aren't the traditional squishy slippers. Of course that's why I like them!

Comfortable and cute, these slippers are fantastic. I can wear them all day around the house and spend hours standing in the Kitchen, cooking, baking, without my lower back hurting! I am so grateful that Orthaheel came out with these!

I was disappointed in the comfort of these slippers after reading the reviews. To me, they are no more than Crocs covered in fabric. Your foot is completely covered in plastic with no cushion or comfort to me at all. I can understand how someone with plantar fasciitis or needing excellent arch support would like these slippers so in that case they would be a lifesaver. I will keep them just because I love the pink zebra strips and Zappos but I certainly will not live in them around the house.

Best arch support ever in a slipper. Incredibly comfortable, can be worn outside and can tighten down with velcro for added support and stability. Highly recommended.

I have terrible arthritis and have artificial knees and hips. I need ankle replacements. I can not walk without my orthotics until this slipper! I now can relax and take off my shoes and enjoy a slipper and still walk. I think they are outrageous in price but when you have a problem as serious as I do they are worth it.

I just got these and love them. I have had plantar fasciitis on & off for 20 years. I walk 6 days a week. I wear these indoors and wear fitflop clogs/mules when I leave the house. I am going to order more Orthaheels as they feel better than fitflops for me. I can feel the difference. The heels in the Orthaheels are super firm and supportive. The lining is soft, plush and warm, like polar fleece. I got the black. Love them.
