My daughter is a nurse and has 7 pair of Alegria in different styles/colors. She loves the shoes, and since I need a very good arch support, she suggested I try a pair. I work at an Elementary School as Secretary to the Principal, and I am on my feet a lot. I ordered one pair of Paloma, and I loved the way they fit and their funky style and colors. I ordered a second pair, then I ordered a 3rd pair. They are soooo comfortable. The arch support is excellent. It's also fun to get the cute comments from the students, parents and co-workers who have never seen a shoe quite like this. I love going to the mall because I always get comments from people. I am really hooked on this shoe and will probably catch up on my daughter's 7 pair. Also, I will be 70 years old in April and enjoy keeping up with current styles. I have paid the same for other brands that do not come near the comfort or style of Alegria.

Alegria Paloma is the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. The thickness of the insole is so high, much higher than any orthotic I've seen. Then there's the beautiful color. My first pair is Tortoise and it's gorgeous, going with all colors. My 2nd pair is my favorite color purple - in Plum Patent, another gorgeous. After seeing these beautiful color lined in glove soft leather I can't settle for the black or brown leathers. My son said they look just like some shoes a little girl he knows wears. These Mary Janes are terrific, the feel of an orthopedic shoe in a classic pretty shoe.

I think I'm in love with my new shoes and they're chunky and funky and feel great. I would disagree with one reviewer, who said they feel a size larger than marked. I bought the 42, which is supposed to be like 11 1/2 to 12, and that's what these are. I'd prefer more of a 12 than a 11 1/2, since I can just feel the shoe front with my toes. Maybe they stretch a little over time, but from the box, they're true to size, at least in my case. Feels like good support and nice rolling action. These are going on a two-week walking tour of London and Paris soon and I hope they feel as good at the end of the trip as they do now!

This was my 1st buying experience with Alegria shoes, but not my 1st with Zappos.com. I am happy to report my complete satisfaction with both. The shoes did take a few days to break in but within a week they are my absolute favorite pair. Well worth the money. And, as always, Zappos shipping & customer service proved top-notch. It's so nice to have a worry-free buying experience each & every time!

This is my favorite style of Alegrias. The comfort is amazing but I have to wear band aids on my ankles because the sides cut into them when I wear them without socks. The problem does go away after they stretch out. It's well worth the trouble because once they break in my feet are in heaven!

Holy Freaking Wow. I gave up running over the last two years after slipping and developing bursitis in the ball of my left foot. The burning sensation could only be stopped by wearing hard orthotics in my shoes which made my arches sore. Today I got these awesome looking Palomas (the silvery snake luster pattern has an iridescence like bubbles) and my feet feel awesome without any orthotics. Toe box is super roomy, and the shoe doesn't look "ducky" at all. I wear an 8 to 8 1/2 in sneakers and these size 38 shoes fit perfectly. So happy. Can't wait to actually be able to wear a sandal this summer...looking to buy another pair. The price was worth it.

I really like these shoes. They are cute looking and very comfortable. The arch support is amazing! I wear a size 5.5 and this European size 35 does very well especially as you can easily adjust the velcro closure. I did try another version with a thinner sole but they did not fit as well. I also purchased sandals that I am pleased with.

Holy Mackerel! These are my first pair of Alegria, but they will not be my last. I can't believe how cushy, yet supportive they feel. And I can make them tight enough so they don't slop in the heel (cursed with narrow heels). Nearly always take a 38 in Euro sizing, but here a 37 (as recommended for US size 7.5 (my normal size)) is absolutely perfect. They sort of have a cute/ugly look going on. Will get one of the pretty patents next time.

Ordered the Paloma Embossed Blue, gorgeous shoe, unfortunately my mild hammer toe condition prevented me from even getting my feet all the way into them. I had ordered a size larger then I normally wear just to overcome this problem but the shoes still were too small. Be advised that if you have high arches or any, even very mild, hammer toe, you will not be able to wear these shoes. There is very little space between the insert and the top of the shoe in the toe area. I have to give this shoe 5 stars in style as it is a great looking shoe but only one star in fit.

It took me several sizes and styles to find an Alegria that fit me and didn't slip. This was totally worth it! (Luckily, Zappos is tolerant!) The color is unique and just what I needed for a trip to France.

Loved the color and pattern. I have several Alegria shoes which have corrected by plantar fascitis. I recommend them for anyone who is on their feet all day. They are fashionable too in a homespun sort of way.

Miracles in a Shoebox-Absolutely love these shoes! The floral design on the patent material is so outstanding and beautiful. The adorable appearance of these shoes coupled with the incredible comfort make them one of my new favorites. I can wear these for hours and not notice I have shoes on.

I teach, so I am on my feet a lot and I have a problem foot, at that. So, it is really important for me to have great arch support. These shoes are great, and I am recommending them to all my friends, whether they have problem feet or not. Many reviewers said that the shoes ran large, but I ordered my usual size and they were perfect. I sprang for the shiny silvery shoes (I work with young people and I can get away with it), but I was pleased to learn that the shoes actually reflect the color that I am wearing (especially with slacks)! I am going to get another pair as the comfort cannot be beat and the price is not bad when compared to other shoes that work well for me (Eccos and Birkenstocks).

This shoe is super comfortable. Really cute with almost anything. If you order the Blue Pebble, be forewarned that it is a bit sparkly.

First time Alegria buyer and yes, I am happy. I ordered Paloma in the midnight garden which is super cute. But, although I took a back up pair to school (I teach high school) they were not needed. Frankly, I even forgot that I had on new shoes - my students noticed and gave their approval. Size 36 was perfect and the fact that there is some heel is great.

Very comfy shoes. I originally ordered the black rose patent, but was really disappointed with it. If you're ordering that color, please be aware that the pattern is all very obviously outlined in gold (doesn't look at all like the picture). I returned them and am anxiously waiting the etched patent. I couldn't get over how comfortable they were and can't wait for the new ones to arrive. The insole if very cushy and supportive. The only drawback is that if you have custom orthotics you will probably have to get plain flat insoles to add in. The insole that comes with the shoes is really thick so once you take it out and put your orthotic in, the shoes are really lose. I think that's easily remedied though. I'm a size 9 and ordered the 39.

I finally found the Alegria shoe style that fits! I love these shoes. I have a slight bunion on one foot and the toe box in this shoe feels marvelous! I am so happy with these shoes. I found that I do have to wear a half size larger than other shoes, but who cares when they feel this good. Zappos has been wonderful in my search for the right shoe with all my returns. I love Zappos and the pricing is great too!

I have the Paloma in Secret Garden and I love these shoes. I used to be a Dansko girl but no more. I am a nurse and am on my feet for 12 hours per shift. I have had previous foot surgeries and these are the only shoes that I will work in ever again. My feet have never felt this good after working 12 hours. I came to Zappos today to purchase another pair for work. A girl has to have a little variety you know.

I needed a pair of shoes that I could wear my custom orthotics with. I'm recovering from foot surgery. I haven't been able to find anything that is remotely stylish and youthful looking. These are so comfortable and everyone in the office thinks they're super cute. Not my normal style, but I'm so grateful for this option. They really are the most comfortable shoes I've ever had on my feet. If you're contemplating buying them you should. The footbeds that come in them are much better than my custom orthotics! I normally wear a 9.5 and the size 40 fit perfect.

This is my second pair of Alegria, and I've gotta say...these shoes are wonderful! My feet are so happy they're singing! I usually wear orthotics, but with these shoes, I don't need them. Yay! The arch is high enough. I love the color of these shoes and get either outright compliments from admirers or I notice furtive glances in the direction of my feet. After all, who could resist pink leather mary janes. Get yourself some and y'all will be forming a chorus with my feet!

These are certainly some of the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned, if not the most comfortable. Almost like walking on air. I've had mine now for about 3 weeks and have worn them to work every day. The velcro strap is great, particularly when traveling, as it's easy to adjust the shoe as your feet swell in flight. A few negatives: the strap and the heel can chafe a bit if you're wearing these without socks. I would not recommend wearing them without socks. With socks, they're perfect. Great room for your toes, and arch support unsurpassed.
