These boots are great. At first I thought they were too big and/or too narrow. I put on thicker socks and put a Superfeet insert in the one that felt narrow. I wore them all day - standing up most of the time - and my feet did not hurt at all! They have just enough heel to make a short person tall enough, but not so much that the ball of your foot hurts.

I really, really wanted to love these boots. I liked the look and feel as soon as I opened the box. But unfortunately the left book was very very uncomfortable. It hurt my ankle bone and after wearing them around the house for about an hour, the bone continued to hurt for the rest of the day. I had to send them back. :-( The heel grips kept my heels from slipping as they do in all other boots. This boot has a lot going for it, except in my case, comfort.

These boots are definitely not the most stylish, but they are very functional and completely waterproof, which is what I was looking for. And for someone who only wears flats, the slight heel is very comfortable and feels very natural. I also like that they are mid-calf and are nice and streamlined. So many mid-calf boots are bulky and don't fit well under pants. I wear them often. A good purchase!

These are wonderful, comfortable boots! I bought them for a trip where it was cold and rainy and they performed beautifully. I wore them all day every day and they were comfortable from the first wearing. One weird thing is that they ate my knee high socks! I need to get different socks next time.

I've been wearing Merrells for years, but these boots were extremely uncomfortable. I wore them for only a couple of hours while at work, walking around and standing, and my heels were screaming.

I'm looking for a rainboot or a waterproof boot that's comfortable enough to walk half a mile and stand on a rocking train for twenty minutes every day, but stylish enough that I can wear them all day at work (I hate dragging another pair of shoes with me on wet days, what a pain). I was really excited to get these in the mail, and I'm so sad to have to send them back. They're sleek-looking and definitely seem like they'd be waterproof, and for someone who only wears flats, the heel was surprisingly not an issue. The problem is that they're way too narrow and constricting in the toe box area and across the tops of my feet. The material doesn't seem like it'll stretch out with repeated wears, and from the 3-4 hours I wore them around the office (mainly sitting!), they were killing me. Back they go. The hunt for the perfect boot continues!

At first I was very happy with these boots. The fit is excellent and they are very comfortable and dry. Exactly what I was looking for. I have only had these boots a few months and wear them a couple of times a week. Already the black covering around the edges and the heal are beginning to peel off and the white plastic or rubber from underneath is showing. It looks terrible. Not what I expect from Merrell and for the price. The construction is obviously not up to par. I wear these boots to work, not through bad weather conditions either, so I see no explanation for the issue. Save your money for something that will hold up and still look nice -- these only lasted me 1/2 of a winter season.

GREAT boot! Water proof, good tread, comfortable and dressy enough for the office! I needed something with just a small heel for running to and from meetings in rainy Seattle. This boot is perfect!

These are nice looking, fairly comfortable shoes although the zipper rubs against my calf when I walk. The solution seems to be not to zip it all the way up. I normally wear a 7½ with Merrells but these were a bit big and my feet slide a little. If thicker socks do not help, will have to return and wait until the size 7 is restocked.

So far so great! I am wearing them now. They are stylish enough for me - make me feel a bit more pulled together. I haven't yet tested them in any kind of heavy weather but I have high hopes that they will work well this winter. I think of myself as an 8 1/2 but I do have wide-ish foot and a high instep so I wound up in a 9 in these.

These boots were too narrow for my feet and there seemed to be very little arch support. Though I have wide feet and high arches, Merrell shoes generally fit my feet well (I ordered size 11 like I normally do) so I was surprised to find these shoes were very tight with thin socks on. They are super cute and I was sad to return them.

I definitely liked the look of this boot, mainly got the shoe to wear to work. I usually wear Keen's or Born's to work, and I spare no expense when it comes to the comfort of my feet because I work very long days. The look is perfect, but I have to say the comfort is average. Good to wear for a short outing but not to walk around in them for long hours.

I so wanted this bootie to fit. It is sleek, simple and has a perfect mid-heel with decent traction. The footbed felt supportive and comfortable. The top of the shoe is pretty stiff. I cannot feel my toes from the outside and it did not look as if it was going to soften and expand. Unfortunately, Merrells seem to run a little narrow. Please make some wider widths.

I don't love these boots. They are listed as waterproof, but definitely have leaks. Also, they are not insulated and get very cold quickly. The soles are very smooth and do not grip well in wet conditions. I would return them if I could but unfortunately, didn't realize how unsuitable they were until actually giving them a few test runs.
