This is super lightweight. It fits nicely over a base layer and under another jacket/shell and it is warm. It is great for travel as emergency insulation. It creates an odd pooch shape over stomach (I guess it is for beer bellies). Also, there is no dual zippered pocket for compactness. You need the provided stuff sack.
Brands I'd also recommend: Marmot for quality and Eddie Bauer for cheap alternative

Not impressed. I have not figured out the niche that Patagonia is trying to fill. The quality of the product they sell is only a little above average but they charge premium prices. In the end there are simply much higher quality choices out there for the same amount or less. Jacket fit okay but moved up quite a bit when in motion. It fit oddly in the shoulders (tight) when the majority of other jackets of this nature are just fine. It's almost like they are built for smaller people. Too many better choices on the market then to go with Patagonia. Returned as is the story with most Patagonia. I guess they are trying for the WalMart crowd but if so they will have to drop their price 5 fold to make it a reasonable purchase.
