These shoes are great for cross country running or just hiking. I took them to the rain forest of Costa Rica and I ran with them on pavement too. Both experiences worked out great with these, especially in the rain due to their Gore-Tex material. I normally wear Mizuno shoes for pretty much everything, but this pair of Brooks were simply awesome!

Brands I'd also recommend: Sucony, Merrell, Patagonia, Puma.

I wear this shoe when running during the winter months. The Gore-Tex Lining helps keep the cold air and wet snow out. It grips the road and snow well. The fit is a little tighter than a regular adrenaline due to the extra lining but it is nothing to worry about.

These are great shoes! They live up to all the info! I recommend you don't use the shoelace eyelet on the tongue as it has a tendency to bunch up the tongue causing discomfort on the forefront of the foot. The tongue is sewn into the sides of the shoe, in an effort to waterproof, so there is extra material in the tongue that has to be folded down properly, otherwise it is uncomfortable. The tongue cannot be positioned correctly if the tongue eyelet is used. Otherwise, awesome shoe!

I was looking for a shoe to keep my feet dry and comfortable. I immediately tested it in the Seattle rain. It was perfect. Everyone else in my group had wet feet, except for me.

Fit is true to size, great for northern climates, wind does not get into the shoe and the gortex is great for the wet weather.

These are great shoes, except that they run small. I ordinarily wear a 12.5, but the 12.5 and the 13 are too small. I need to try a 14 and (unfortunately) you don't have the 14 in stock.

These shoes are waterproof for running early on the grass. They are a bit heavier that most, but they are sturdy well made shoes, this is my second pair. Besides who likes running with soggy feat?

I walk my dog most days on the trail and they fit great! Like most shoes nowadays it seems, always buy a full size bigger.

These are a waterproof sneaker that is comfortable with quite a bit of cushion for a trail runner. I use them for simple suburban hiking about town, and they are perfect for that, and look fine with jeans. My only complaint with them is that they have a stiff insert on the inside half of the heel that is intended to be corrective for pronaters. As it turns out, I am a supinater (i.e, outside of heel wears out first), so this exacerbates a tendency I already have. If I were hiking 5 miles a day or more, I would not use these for that reason.

Brands I'd also recommend: Asics, Lucky jeans, Thorlo, Airmax, Smartwool

I'm an avid runner who's been using these shoes for 3-18 mile (mostly trail) runs on mix of pavement, snow, mud, and rain. Great shoes for winter, trail runs. I used to dodge puddles or step in with trepidation knowing that I would slip and slide and spend the rest of my run with wet, cold feet. Now I plunge through the snow and puddles knowing that I'll have traction and my feet will stay dry (except for any little bit of water that seeps in around the ankles). I even hose down my shoes afterwards with my shoes on and my feet stay dry. My only negative is that they are a little uncomfortable on the tops of my feet just above the arches because of they way the Gore-Tex sockliner is attached to the tongue of the shoe. I've gotten used to it, but that's the price you pay for a Gore-Tex liner. I also ordered and tried on the ASR 9 which are super comfy and supposedly water-resistant, but I felt like I needed the Gore-Tex for the conditions I'd be running in.
