Good court shoe - wears well, esp in front toe area that gets worn with serving. consistant width/fit with other New Balance court shoes. Better wear overall than the other New Balance shoes we have used in the past. Will buy again.

These shoes are awful. I bought them for work, as an RN. Despite getting my usual brand and size, the toe width is too tight, yet the heel is loose. The sole feels like a rock is under the insole. The laces twist, and the lacing area puts a pressure spot at the base of the big toe. I did not realize the discomfort of these poorly made shoes until wearing them for two sequential 12 hour shifts.

With EE/EEE wide feet, it is difficult for me to find sneakers that will fit me, except for New Balance, with a large selection of wide sizes. I bought this shoe for racquetball. It fits well, looks great and the sole really hugs the court well. I recommend it highly.

As a tennis player with wide feet I'm pretty much stuck with New Balance. Which is not a bad thing. I like the 1187's over the 1005's mainly due to overall comfort level. The 1187's seem to have a better ride. I play 3 to 5 times a week and the shoes wear out faster than I'd like. About 3 months on hard court. I am a backhand foot dragger though. If you need a wide width shoe, I'd recommend this one.

I knew better but was pressed for time. Never ever buy athletic or work shoes with a synthetic top. Too hot, does not breathe, etc. Otherwise, adequate shoes.

Brands I'd also recommend: K-Swiss
