Great work boot. Very comfortable. I'm on my feet all day and so far these have been the best boots I've owned.

The shoes fit well, but because of the cushioned insole it took a while for the to stop moving on my feet. They are the best fitting safety toe shoes I have ever worn. They are not airport friendly. I set off our metal detector when I enter and must take them off to enter. Taking the shoes through the x-ray machine relieved that there was enough metal in the eyelets to set the metal detector. This is very annoying. I have decided to leave the shoes in my office and change when I go to the plant. But I was close to sending them back. I was disappointed that I could not ware them into work without having to take them off every day. This is a good fitting shoe, but if you have to go through a metal detector every day beware, you will have to take them off.

The backs of my heels hurt for 6 years. I've tried Georgia Boot, Wolverine, and the standard on oil rigs offshore, Red Wings. None of them helped my heels. Within 2 weeks of getting these boots and working all day in them, my heels quit hurting. I've still got the same pair after 1.5 yrs and they still have good tread, my heels still don't hurt, and walking on a slick area, they don't slide at all, or if they do slide they are quick to grab the floor. Great boots. I hope they don't ever get rid of this particular model. It's all I will buy in the future.

Brands I'd also recommend: This product only.

These felt great right out of the box and I did not have to worry about breaking them in like some of the other steel toed boots that I have worn previously.

I purchased these boots for my husband as a Christmas gift because he stands on his feet for several hours while working. The boots worked great for him! He loves them. So glad I purchased them. My husband no longer complains about his feet hurting him. Thanks!

I have never owned Timberland boots before. I have had 6 pairs of the same Red-Wing work shoes with inserts over the last 10 years. I do not work construction but we are always told that we should have safety tow and heel protection. My problem is that the boots make it difficult to drive vehicles, which is a big part of what we do. I actually noticed a pair of these on vacation in Europe... She was shopping so I tried on a pair and they were comfortable. I decided to buy them when we got back home and ordered them through Zappos.com, because they are awesome :) I am nearly impossible to shop for when it comes to shoes because of my apparently "unique" feet. When I got them, I will say that they are one of the few shoes/boots that were comfortable right out of the box. I tried them laced all the way up and also about 2 inches down. They did give me some room to pivot at my ankle then. I walked around the house for a while, and maybe it's just that I have not used boots before, because I just couldn't get comfortable with the boots. I have to kneel and stand, walk and drive for my work and still feel like I needed a shoe more than a boot. Otherwise, if I worked more of a construction type job I would definitely be wearing these. I am returning them, but I did order a pair of the Timberland Pro shoes that look similar to these but without the upper part. Hopefully that will be what I am looking for. If not, then it's back to get yet another pair of the same shoe I have now. I do like these boots and would still recommend them, even if they don't fit my application. Also, they are a little small on the width, but not by much. I am sure they would wear in nicely in a little time.

These are by far the most comfortable boots i have ever purchased. I went Timberland again because of the quality. I'm a contractor and my last pair held up for over 3 years. The only reason i retired them was the insides were finally starting to fall apart. I think the outside could have gone another 5 years! Awesome.

This is my second pair of Timberland Pro Helix boots. The boots are reasonably comfortable, but I was disappointed by the arch support. For best results, I recommend buying the Timberland anti-fatigue insoles with these boots. The insoles that come with the boots don't offer much arch support.
