Bought these for my daughter and she loves them! She put them right on and wore them all day.

I normally wear a 7½ when going without socks, so I ordered the 7 in these. Very hard to get my foot into, adjustments are kind of... only there for looks. The toe strap has elastic under the Velcro, but even with the Velcro opened it is very tight. And the stitching on the heel strap was very scratchy. Very flexible sole, which I liked, but way too uncomfortable - these are going back.

I ordered these rather than the Nicasio Ahnus since so many reviewers for that style said the strap lengths were not matched. That is true also for the Inverness. The footbed is very comfortable, the straps hit the right spot, they are just perfect on the right foot sandal. The left foot sandal is at the shoe repair right now, having the buckle moved 1/2 inch. For $6, hopefully it will fix the problem and they will be perfect. I'm size 7 1/2, so I bought the size 7 after reading other reviews. I can feel that the arch is a bit further back and really would fit a size 7 nicely, but once the footbed adjusts to my foot I'm sure it will be good. Think super comfy, formfitting reef shoe. If you want a sandal look, go the half size up. They really are true to size, so if you are a whole size then order that confidently. If Ahnu fixes their strap problems and offers half sizes, they would be ideal. As it is, I will look around for something more perfect next time.

This shoe is just plain weird. It reminds me of those clunky boots you wear after you've had foot surgery. It's wide, and even tightening the adjustable straps doesn't make it fit my narrow foot.

The Ahnu Inverness is awful! I have a pair of closed toe Ahnus that I like a lot, so I tried these. They appeared to be poorly made, the rubber sole was ragged where it meets the front of the shoe. I hate when a shoe only comes in whole sizes, but I tried the 9 since I wear an 8.5. It was way too big. The adjustable straps only move less than an inch and that's only to make them even looser, not tighter. If you have a wide foot, these may work for you but beware because the strap just above the toes is really tight and rubbed my (not so bad) bunions. I would order the 8 but the shoe was just too flimsy. I comfortably wear similar styles in Keen, Naot, Teva, Birkis but not these and they're on their way back to Zappos.

These fit and felt comfortable the first time I put them on. No breaking in necessary. Great for when you need to do a lot of walking.

I love these sandals! It is rare for me to find shoe that do not hurt my feet after wearing them all day. I love to travel too and these shoes would make my cut for an around-the-world trip. I also wear them to work with casual pants and skirts. They are lightweight yet they have a cushioned sole that I can wear all day and not hurt my feet. I have size 11 somewhat narrow feet. These are sturdy enough to do a light hike but cute enough to wear with skirts.
