Bought this in 2013. Still going strong in 2017. Great bag!!

This may be the best money I've ever spent. This pack is everything I wanted -- comfortable, roomy, stylish, well-made. Perfect number, size and placement of pockets, and a lifetime warranty! I've been showing it to all my friends and telling them they need to get one. My back feels better already after years of carrying a handle bag on one shoulder.

I just sent the Osprey FlapJill Lg Pack to my daughter who is away in college. She starts class in the AM and doesn't end class until 9:00 and 10:00 in the PM. She lives to far to walk home between classes so that means she has to carry all of her books with her all day. If you have ever had to carry college books you know how heavy they are! She was using a large messenger bag plus had to carry the books that didn't fit. When she got the Osprey FlapJill LG Pack she loved it! Everything fits perfect not to mention it has a great look. She said, "This is the most comfortable backpack I have ever owned". The only problem with this pack is trying to decide which color to pick. I sent her a teal blue and a black and told her to pick the one she wanted and send the other back. I told her because of the guarantee (for life) you will only need the one. Let's just say if your ordering this bag for some one make sure you pick the color because once they get this bag (or bags) they won't be sending them back!

Perfect for travel or a daily urban commute! Just used this for a two-week trip to Europe, after using it daily for back-and-forth to work for a couple of months. I use the padded pocket for iPad/keyboard/Kindle and the associated cords. The zip pocket on the top flap is easily accessible, and that's where I carry my cell phone. The main compartment carries my purse. When I was traveling, I squished a rolled up t-shirt, leggings, and underthings in the bottom of the main compartment in case the airline lost my luggage. The other two zippered pockets easily carried travel documents, a paperback book, and some small items such as pens, lip balm, etc. I love this bag!

Love it! I was looking for a backpack to hold my 17.3 inch laptop. My computer fits well. It's just a tad too tall to secure with the Velcro flap but it fits nicely in the laptop sleeve. I love the outside flap. I think it will be awesome in the rain. Yes, takes some getting used to not having all the pockets on the outside but the size makes this bag. Not too big, looks good on (even if it's full to the brim with stuff...which mine always is). Very nice straps and support. Super cute colors! I give this bag a 10 and would buy it again in a heartbeat.

This pack was exactly what I was looking for -- I love it. I use it for walking to work, about 1.5 miles one-way. It holds my lunch bag and a change of clothes/shoes comfortably. This pack distributes weight evenly across my back and stays put, unlike the shoulder bag I wrestled with before. The sternum strap and hip belt help take weight off of the shoulders, though I do not always use them. I also used this pack recently to travel for Thanksgiving, and it made a great carry-on bag. My 13" MacBook fit in the laptop compartment with room to spare. The mesh pockets were great for organizing power cords, iPhone cables, etc. The document sleeve keeps papers flat and protected. The smaller pockets offer more organization for smaller items. There is a pouch in one pocket that fits my iPhone perfectly, and I clip my keys to the key clip, so they are never lost at the bottom of a pocket. I highly recommend this pack for walking and traveling.

I needed a backpack to carry my 17.5 in laptop for traveling. It was hard to find one with a built in padded sleeve big enough. The FlapJill is great, my laptop fits and I have room for other stuff too. I like the straps instead of the standard zipper...easier to open for airport security. The outer pockets are roomy too. Love the color. I wish the waistbelt was bigger and padded to make it easier to carry a heavy pack. The one the FlapJill has is too small for what is supposed to be a hiking/backpacking pack.
