This is a cute skort with a major structural problem. The lycra shorts underneath are great, but like all stretch fabrics, they tend to migrate toward skinnier areas. Since it has no real waistband, there is nothing to keep this skort from inching south as you move around. I found myself pulling it back up every few minutes, just to avoid mooning my pals. It is not the effortless item a skort should be. I plan to sew in a waistband of wide elastic and see if that improves things. I was hoping for a repeat of my delightful experience with the black and white Callaway BDFB0070 Print Knit Skort. (SKU: #7854344)

Great length for "older runners" (57 years old). Does not ride up and very comfortable! The zipper malfunctioned the second time I wore it but thanks to excellent customer service I received my replacement a day later! Thanks Zappos, I will be back.

This skirt is great! I have 2 gym girl ultra skirts that I wear all the time and decided to get this because it is longer and more appropriate then a super short running skirt. I have worn it everywhere - including to the beach and bike riding. the compression shorts are light and tight (don't ride up ) It is very low cut. I'd prefer it to be cut higher on my waist as I am pretty curvy. I can't imagine running in this skirt but it's great for golf and chasing after kids.

I got this because it is the longest sport, workout skirt on the market. But I think it is a ridiculous price to pay, but I hate my upper legs that much, that I needed the length to cover. Sometimes, the top at the waist, which is connected to the short rolls downward, doesn't stay in place, which is minor, but odd...that could be better.

This is a very well-made skort, and amazingly, the shorts do not ride up at all. Unfortunately, I am returning mine because 1) it's too long for cardio (I'm 5'3".), and 2) the small was too big in the waist to stay up, but the xs was a little clingy in the hips. Otherwise, I would have kept it for hikes and errands. I think this was designed for someone taller, with a straighter figure.

The fit could be a bit better for my body type (hour-glass), but I love the concept and the colors so I decided to keep it. I usually wear #8 skirt - ordered this in large.
Brands I'd also recommend: patagonia, the north face

I like that the inner shorts are longer and don't ride up, but the waist isn't substantial enough - the whole skirt rides down. It needs a drawstring or a wider elastic band, the wimpy elastic isn't enough, and because the waist is low it slips down.

Really like the fabric, print. Am finding the skirt a little longer than most golf skorts (I am 5'3"), so am going to shorten it by 3".

Love this running skirt! It is plenty long for great coverage, so I don't feel awkward if I have to run to the grocery store or wherever after my workout. I've never chafed, and have worn this on runs up to 20 miles. I'll probably wear it in my next marathon coming up in a few weeks. I have been completely satisfied with all of my Skirt Sports purchases, and will continue to buy this brand.

Now, this is a perfect running skirt! The shorts don't ride up at all and I'm not a stick-thin girl. Wore this skirt for a 10 mile race and did not have to pull or tug at this at all. So worth the money!

Hard to tell from photos, but this is pretty shiny fabric. I was hoping for more matte type fabric. That took away one star for me. And the thing that honestly keeps me from ordering another is the fact that it has thes bike shorts sewn in, ok we know that...but then the sewed in like panty seems...I don't understand the point of that? Aren't we always trying to get away from panty lines?! Weird. And you can see the lines through the skirt in the front (and I got black) So I was pretty sure in a lighter color it would be more obvious, especially if your were wearing a shorter shirt. Anyway, just a small pet peeve of design. Otherwise, amazingly comfortable and I choose to keep because the skirt is longer than most for my very long legs.

I am 5'4", 155 #, so I ordered this in 2 sizes: a large & an extra-large, knowing that one or the other would fit. Happily, the large fits and I can tell that as I lose another 10# I will need to order a medium. This skirt is sleek & slimming and I don't feel as though I have everything hanging out for everyone to see when I run.

I have several items from Skirt Sports, but for me I like the Happy Girl skirt better than the Gym Girl Ultra. I like the extra length in the skirt and the compression shorts. My only complaint is that the elastic in the skirt is not strong enough to keep the skirt up when I run on the treadmill and the skirt is not too big. In order to take care of this problem I have someone put in heavier elastic. Once that is done it's my favorite workout gear.

Love this! I've tried a ton of skorts, and this is the first one where the shorts stayed in place. It's also a nice length for someone who hasn't worn a lot of shorts in the last ... 20 years. But I'm down 25 pounds, and this will probably get me through the next 20. Love all the pockets. LOVE! The waistband is a little odd, but I'm getting used to it. Pretty sure this cute skort got me through 11 minute miles (walking) this AM. Fastest time w/ neighbor yet!

I agree with the other reviewers that the fit around the waistline was loose. After running ~3 miles the skirt stayed up just fine (sweat?). I will keep the skirt but will also continue looking for that "perfect" fit.
