This is the little suitcase that could! You do not have to check it, it fits in the overhead OR underneath the seat in front of you. It is roomy (and even expands ever so slightly) and it even drives well! You do not realize how much difference it makes not tilting your bag to wheel it until you do not have to. I just ordered four more of these. We are taking our four kids to the United Kingdom for two weeks and each one of us is only taking one of these bags. Even the three year old can push it around easily.

Just purchased and took my carry-on on it's maiden voyage. Gate checked it, and when it was returned to me, it had a huge dent in the corner. I tried to just push it back out, and cannot seem to do so. Think carefully about this product before you buy. I travel a lot, which is why I spent the money on this bag. Now I need to take it to Fedex and ship it to a luggage store in me, who will look at it and decide what to do. Seriously! For the cost, they should send you a new one. I am extremely displeased.

The Rimowa is an unalloyed pleasure to use! Easy pack, easy carry, easy push, easy pull, light as a feather, and yes, gorgeous! There will be lots of cheap imitations, and some imitations not so cheap. This is worth every dollar you spend on it. It is, as they say, tres elegante!

I travel quite a bit for work and fun and I've never spent any money on luggage before, I usually buy whatever is at Costco. When this piece arrived I was surprised how small it looked inside, I didn't think it would fit anything but surprisingly it did. I was able to take it on a 4 night trip to New York. It is incredibly lightweight and the wheels are amazing. The quality is superior to anything anyone else was wheeling around the airport. This is a really nice, versatile carry on for short trips. 4 stars because of the price and limited color selection.

This is the best carry-on case ever! Great quality materials, light but very sturdy. The wheels rotate 360 so it's absolutely effortless to wheel it around any way you want.

Best carry on suitcase ever! It's so lightweight and holds a lot. I took it on a 3 day weekend trip. I ended up packing more than I needed and was able to pack additional clothing I had purchased from my trip. I love the inside zippers so nothing will fall out. And I love how I could just roll it next to me while walking through the airport. Since it was so lightweight, it was very easy for me to lift and put in the overhead bin by myself (I'm only 5'2). This is pricier than other carry ons. However, it's definitely worth the investment if you plan on traveling frequently and want a lightweight carry on suitcase. I plan on using this when I travel out of the country for 2 weeks. Thanks Zappos!

Yes, Rimowa is expensive (but still less expensive than other luxury brands). Yes, you can't stuff in every single stitch of clothing you own into this bag. But...yes, it's easily the lightest, most beautifully made piece of luggage you'll ever own. Take my word for it -- I used soft-sided bags for a long time, but Rimowa positively blows the competition away. I'm talkin' especially to those of us over 40 years old -- you wanna drag a heavy bag around on a long vacation? Take my advice -- this is a wonderful gift to yourself.

Zappos service is excellent. The first suitcase arrived damaged, and they replaced it overnight with apologies and a credit for my next order. That being said, this suitcase is beautiful. The first one was not a manufacturing defect, but damage. This small suitcase is perfectly sized for international carry-on and holds much more than it looks like it will hold because of the excellent well thought out design. The handle is a bit thin (I thought it would be flimsy but it is not) but easily maneuvers the suitcase over smooth and somewhat bumpy terrain. The suitcase is shiny and beautiful and to my surprise it hasn't gotten scratched up. I think that the ribbed texture protects is from scratches, as only the highest points on the ribs get a bit scuffed. I recommend it. Wheels are very sturdy.

You can't imagine how many suitcases I buy, looking for something lightweight and small with four wheels. This one seems to be a keeper. It's the lightest suitcase like this and holds a goodly amount. You can put stuff right in the middle, too. And it comes along besides you just like a little puppy. I love it

This is a beautiful suitcase, and I can only echo all the good things others have already said about it. The rolling is smooth and comfortable, it's incredibly light and easy to lift (especially important for a petite frequent traveler), fits into all the overhead cabins so easily, and holds quite a bit more than I had anticipated. The Ultraviolet color is great. I had a warranty issue with my first one, and Zappos resolved it so swiftly and professionally that I'm once again just delighted that I chose Zappos when I was shopping around.

Bought the Salsa Air Ultralight in dark blue. Very functional luggage. Tough to get used to zipping though because two "sides" don't line up well at times. Interior mesh dividers seem flimsy to me; we will see if they hold up to hard use. I do not like the single handle at all; it should be double to enable easier carry of add-on bag. TSA lock same as on most other luggage of similar type. Nothing special about it. I think the bag is overpriced when nearly identical products are less than half in price. Paid for the label...my mistake. I am a weekly traveler and never check luggage. Always in search of lightest weight with outstanding protection and ability to handle rough use. The bag has no side handle(s), either...also a minus. I think the polycarbonate fiber is a better quality than the cheaper luggage.
