I have worn them around the house, but am saving them for a special event. I have heard some negative comments about their durability...hope they hold up for me. They weren't cheap!

I really love these boots-- but for full disclosure, here are a few things I noted: I would say that the color is a little bit lighter in person than in the picture (I ordered the cognac leather color), but is close enough, and still very nice. One boot is just slightly larger around the ankle/calf than the other, but this is really very minimal, more felt than visually noticed. They're definitely very comfy, and soften up a bit with wear and a quick leather conditioning treatment. I have done a lot of walking in them, and have had no discomfort. Cute with a skirt and leggings, or some skinny jeans. I'd say they're true to size, but order a half-size larger if you plan on wearing thicker wool socks with them.

Awesome boots! Cognac color is beautiful and goes with everything! Read a lot of reviews and many said narrow and size up; so glad I didn't listen. These fit perfect in my regular size. I have a wide foot and there is plenty of room. Soft leather too! Perfect height for jeans or skirts, dresses. I just love them!

These boots are AWESOME; so tough and edgy looking, but still feminine and stylish. The color is exactly as pictured - a nice, rich brown. They are comfortable, easy to lace and fun to wear.

These shoes are really cute, but I have to agree with everyone else on the quality. They scuffed within a day and the sole is not very good quality. They are comfy and cute, but I really wish they were better quality

I absolutely love these boots BUT after only the third time wearing them the heel started to peel off. I couldn't bring myself to part with them so I crazy glued them back together and they have been fine ever since.

Unfortunately I absolutely love these boots. They are so comfortable, but they fell apart within two weeks. They became unglued along the sole and front half of both shoes.

I waited awhile after buying these boots before writing a review because I'd read several that said the sole split or there were other problems with quality. I've had no such problems. The boots are beautifully made as far as I can see, and the leather seems high quality and very sturdy. They also smelled amazing when I first opened the box. The boots are a very feminine version of a combat boot. They have a low profile and they are narrow, which makes them impossible to mistake for men's boots. Yet they still look tough. I've been looking for a pair of boots like this for years, and I am in love with these. One note on comfort, they are narrow and the seam at the toe does irritate my feet at times. If you have a wide foot, I would not recommend these. They also run a little small, which I have found is always true with Steve Madden. Other than that -- fantastic.

Super comfortable. I get lots of compliments. This is my second pair...yes I wore out the first pair. I wear them with jean and skirts for a little edge. My sister has this pair in brown and she loves them, too. The only complaint is that they have a strange odor at first when they are taken out of the box which goes away after wearing them a few times. I did also air them outside for a day. I highly recommend these boots.

Just received these in the mail. I have to return them and try again because the 7.5 (which is my shoe size, has been forever) was hilariously too small. In addition to running small they must run narrow too because my feet on the wider side. Just wish I could have some warning that they are sized differently than any other shoe I've purchased from Zappos. And now I'm having doubts because all these reviewers said they'll fall apart. I bought and went through 2 pairs of crappy Payless boots both of which had the heel rip off the boot - I am going to be so frustrated if this more expensive pair fares the same. For now though I'm exchanging - a warning though - go up a full size! I am getting an 8.5 and have rarely ever fit an 8.

These boots are amazing! I have them in natural leather (the white-ish one) and have worn them twice so far. They are so comfortable, although are a little roomy in the toe, which is fine because if I ordered a half size down they would be snug. Anyways, I have gotten so many compliments! I like to wear them over skinny jeans, or they can even go with a skirt/dress! When it's warmer, I plan to wear them with shorts. They are so versatile. Plus, because of the wide flap, you can tie the shoelace further down and kind of slouch the flap forward. Anyways, I love these shoes.

I absolutely love these boots! They are so comfy and stylish but the only downside is that they don't have a lot of sole support especially wearing them in the snow! I normally wear a size 7 but I order them in 7.5.

I love this boot. It is totally true to size, comfortable, the zipper makes putting them on and taking them off incredibly easy, and they look even better on than they do in the picture. I have to prevent myself from wearing them every single day, so I think that I might buy another pair in black. The only problem I've had with them so far is their lack of tread, but I love them so much I think that I am just going to get them resoled.
