The Ecco Chase in the Lion color arrived by mistake (a size 42) in my order today...instead of the black, Goretex stretchy Ecco Rise I had ordered in size 39. Looking at the shoe, an old-school lace up, sneaker took, I decided they might fit my husband's narrow foot...he has bought a woman's western boot in the past to get the right fit. I was right. It was a size that fits him well (Med 42) and he is keeping the shoe. We are headed to Europe and I think the Ecco Chase will be a very cool looking shoe to handle cobble stones and walking for his (like mine, too) sometimes-problem feet that need good arch support to prevent plantar fascitis flareups and tired, strained ankles. He would never have let me order for him, so this was serendipity, lol. That meant a phone call to Zappos to try and explain I want to keep the shoe I did NOT order and have not been charged for, but I also want the correct shoe I did order to be sent to me. Not an ordinary situation. I've been a Zappos fan for several years, never had any problems and find their customer service to be top notch. As I expected, we laughed at the error and that my husband (not me) is keeping the shoe that was a surprise in the box that arrived. Zappos is handling it and the pair I ordered but didn't receive is on the way. THANK YOU ZAPPOS!

These are by far the best walking shoes I've ever owned. I ordered these and the Ecco Biom Lite and ended up liking these more. Your preference will really depend on the kind of feet you have. I have very flexible feet and a history of plantar faciitis so the harder sole felt better on my feet. I've walked all over the city in these and my feet feel great.

These shoes are great! They are not as cushioned as I usually like but they are comfortable and supportive. I have bad feet and needed walking shoes for London. I think these will be perfect! I have worn them a lot to break them in but they really didn't need it. Comfy from the first wear!

I love this sneaker. They are very comfortable, nice quality, and have a very cool vintage look to them. I usually wear a 38, ordered a 38, and they fit perfectly. The shoe has a pronounced arch which is great for me, but not great for those who do not desire that type of fit. I'm a Dansko clog fan so I'm accustomed to lots of arch support. The toe box is long so there's plenty of room for toes.

I think this is my favorite of all the Ecco line. I am now on my second pair (and around my sixth or seventh overall Eccos). I do wish they would come out with some other colors. I notice one of the reviewers mentioned red or blue, but I've never seen those choices in this model of Ecco. I think these are excellent for city walking. (Not trail hiking, I have another pair of Eccos for that purpose.) You can walk as far as you want, and still not feel embarrassed if you choose to go in a shop or restaurant.

This shoe was a nice shoe. I wear an 11 and it doesn't make my foot look giant. I take a size 11. Want to praise Zappos for a wonderful site, I have problem feet so I'm constantly ordering and and sending back. They are wonderful, so easy to deal with, very fast on crediting back returns. I have been doing this for years with never a problem. Customer service is impeccable!

I love how these shoes make my feet feel. I have just recently purchased these shoes and worn them out for two full days of shopping and errands and my feet feel great! Hardly any breaking in has been needed. I bought them for a trip to Europe and I'm confident they are going to be a good choice. I had a foot surgery for Plantar Faciatis a few years ago and some shoes are too mch arch and some have no support, I think these are going to be great!

I have a narrow foot but the medium width that they come in fit very nicely although I ordered down one size as another reviewer suggested. I bought them for a travel walking shoe and they performed perfectly. They are light and every step feels like a foot massage. I only wear light weight foot liners or socks inside as they do fit snug, but that is why they are also so comfortable. I cannot say enough good things about these - I like the look and they travel really well. Got compliments along the way from those who were wearing the traditional clunkier thicker-soled athletic shoes.

I have a narrow foot and these have a narrow size available. These run about a 1/2 size large, but otherwise are a dream shoe. I usually take a 9 AA and the 39 fits perfectly. I recently purchased this shoe in the blue/gray color. I am typically a 7.5-8 and ordered both the 38 and 39 but ended up keeping the 38 -- they seem to run a bit large and the 38s fit perfectly. My husband said they look slightly dorky but I think they're adorable! My right foot is slightly larger and the heel did rub a little the first day I wore them but they've since broken in and are great. In fact, I might have to order the new true gray color to have a second pair!

Man I love these shoes. I purchased the red ones, which have a fantastic vintage red tint to them. They're stylish and cute while still being very informal and practical so you can wear them everywhere. They're also incredibly comfy; I had a very short break-in period for the shoes. They offer some really great support too; I've had some all-day walking trips and my feet still felt great by the end of the day.

This is an extremely comfortable, well-made walking shoe. It does run large. I ordered a size down and it fit perfectly, so you might want to order your regular size and then one smaller to see if this is true for you. It has good arch support and is relatively light-weight.

These are my favorite shoes of all time for comfort on my old feet with high arches and bunions. But I am not crazy about the color. It is not gray and not blue. So I am returning them but only for another color. This will be my second pair of Chase Ties.

I love these shoes! They are as cute as my Converse, and they're a lot more comfortable. I ordered the gray ones a couple of months ago and like them so much that I ordered the black ones, too. I usually wear a US size 8, but in these I wear a 38 (7-7.5). They're a little stiff for the first hour or so, but the leather is soft and conforms quickly to your feet.

Chase Tie fit right out of the box. Good arch support. All around comfortable shoe and stylish. Can be worn with or without socks. Obviously well designed and quality shoe.

Had these in black and wanted the red. I always know these shoes will be very comfortable on my big toe joint. They look dressy with a pair of jeans and a jacket. Wish they had more colors, like Green!

Love these shoes. These are my second pair (I have them in Black). They are nicer than athletic shoes and more casual than ballet type flats. Very comfortable and well constructed.

I've got flat feet and had a Morton's neuroma a few years ago, so finding shoes I like isn't an easy task. I love these shoes. They look really sharp and the removable insole allows me to use my custom orthotics. I walk a couple miles a day in them and they feel good on my feet.

I love these shoes. They are great for work. (I work in a lab and I am on my feet most of the day.) When I find a shoe I like I buy one of each color!

My new favorite shoes. Soft leather, just the right amount of arch support, and a nice (and unusual) color -- I got the Pavement color, which is a slightly bluish gray. I'm on my feet for 8 hours at a time and my feet always hurt, even on my days off. I don't wear these to work, but I look forward to putting them on whenever I have a day off to run errands.

These are the best walking shoes I have ever owned. I took them to Europe and wore them for 3 4-hour walking tours. They were so comfortable I forgot I was walking. Also, no lower back pain which is very unusual for me. Great arch support. The look is fun retro and I even was asked where I found them! Great shoes!

Comfortable while providing moderate support. My thin feet are painful from inflammatory arthritis. The leather is butter soft, molds easily to my feet while lacing allows for a good fit. I enjoy these when I want a change from my heavier Ecco Sandals or high line New Balance tie shoes.

These comfortable shoes can be worn right out of the box. Can't beat Ecco for great arch support. Size (length) is true and width adjustment with the laces is great. (I have a AA width foot.)

I bought them to wear on an upcoming trip to Europe. These are super cute and comfortable. I love the pavement color (basically gray) and am sort of coveting the red ones as well, now. Even though the arch support seems good, for lots of walking, I will be using my small orthotic inserts as well. They feel quite comfortable both ways. Oh! Did I mention how much I love Zappos?

Shopping for shoes in a narrow width can be very frustrating since most local stores don't carry them. You can't go wrong with Zappos as you don't have to pay for shipping either way if for some reason you don't like what you ordered. The shoe looked exactly like the picture and are very comfortable, roomy in the toe area and true to size.
