Needed a shoe for a Europe trip that I could wear on rainy days - tennies wouldn't work. I have plantar fasciitis that I did not want to flare up while traveling, so I tried on many shoes! I settled on these due to excellent arch support, heal shape, and the ability to lace, due to my slightly narrow foot. I would have liked more cushioning, but these were the best I could find, and I looked high and low. I like that I can remove the insoles and put in my own custom orthotic- my thinner dress ones, or a store bought one that is softer. The arch support is in the shoe construction so removing the insole doesn't reduce the support . The leather is a bit stiff at first but has softened. Size runs true for Eccos - I am a 10.5 and always need a 42 in Ecco. Width seemed so adjustable that but I'd say it's typical for Ecco as well, slightly narrow.

In general, I was disappointed in the quality of these shoes. In the past, I've really like the Ecco brand and felt they fit me well. Not so in this case. In addition to being ill fitting (too long, too narrow), I was disappointed in how these shoes are put together - the insole is not part of the shoe but simply lifts out.

I want to love these sneakers and had hoped to bring them on an upcoming vacation, but they are giving me blisters on my heels. They are fantastic in every other way - cute, light, great arch support, good fit in the toe box, etc. But even after two trips to the cobbler and multiple efforts to give them a chance, the heels hurt. I am very frustrated and am open to suggestions!

Loved this shoe, but the toe box is very low (don't know how to explain it) but the tops of my toes and foot felt squashed down. Incredible support built in--really wish it had fit.

Looking for a "retro" pair of sneakers, black, but for a women's slightly wide forefoot and narrow heel? This one will work if you find it "old school" looking enough to suit. Good enough for this Grandma who lives in and walks in an edgy-trendy-gritty neighborhood (Capitol Hill, Seattle).

This is a cute and comfortable shoe, a nice alternative to athletic shoes for casual wear. Fit is pretty much true to size, on the narrow side. Heel is stiff, but I believe it will wear in.

Recently went on an 18 day business trip to China & Europe and needed to find some business casual shoes. After trying many pairs of shoes (thanks Zappos for your understanding!). I received the Ecco Chase tie a few days before my trip. I was nervous since I had little break in period but they didn't need any. Unrelated to the shoes, I ended up with some severe leg and foot swelling mid-way through the trip and these shoes were incredible! I have bunions and nerve damage in my left foot and these shoes never pinched or gave me blisters. I would rather wear these than my Brooks sneakers. I bought the blue and plan on buying the tan.

Bought these shoes for a trip to Pisa, Italy where we rented an apartment for 4 days just a few weeks ago. Brought them over brand new, without breaking them in at home first...and held my breath. They were fantastic for the 4 days of heavy pounding they got. Continued to wear them afterward in every small hill town on Tuscany. Really amazing how comfortable they are, especially as I have a modest sized bunion (ugh) on my right foot. These are must-have shoes for stone pavements. Looked okay, too, with a casual khaki skirt.

Beautiful, well made, comfortable for brief trial, but too flat almost negative heel & I'm too old to wear this style for extended time. Sorry to return them.

Attractive old school style shoe but it's going back. The insole is very structured with intense arch support and a lot of lift in the heel. I prefer the ecco biom fit.

I *love* these shoes and am currently wearing them as I do the Happy Dance around my house. The shoes are cute AND red (brick) AND (most importantly) they fit my feet. The quality is fabulous. I deliberately chose on the ECCO Chase Tie because the reviews noted they run narrow. I have a narrow heel with a wider toe box and a "low profile" foot with a high arch. I ordered a 41, which is my usual size. The arch support hit my foot in the right places, the laces made it possible for me to customize my fit, while the low profile meant I didn't end up with bulges and wrinkles on the top of the toe box when I pulled the laces tight. I've worn these shoes for 5 days now. If I still love them in 10, I'll be buying another pair in Marine blue and a third pair to "stash" in my closet.

The older I get the more I realize how important a good fitting shoe is to my everyday activities. I've always liked the Ecco brand and this sneaker did not disappoint. I love the navy color, style and most important the fit. Can't go wrong with this sneaker.

I ordered five shoes to try, and this was my favorite. I have horrible, fickle feet. When I tried these on, they felt immediately comfortable. The leather was soft, the arch support was great. The overall sole, however, was firm enough to make me wonder if it would take my feet through the day. I nearly kept them, but they ran a bit long and I feel like I need to try a smaller size first. I love the quality and style. The toe box is roomy, and the fit is secure.

This is one great comfy shoe and the only sneaker type shoe I have found that has good arch support. I bought two, black and blue, and love them! The shoe runs big, though, so I bought a size 37 instead of the 38 I normally wear.

I love this shoe! I have plantar fasciitis in one heel and a bone spur in the big toe of the same foot. I tend to wear FitFlop and Brooks running shoes as often as possible. A lot of other shoes hurt after a while (or immediately). Not these! They are comfortable and I love the look. I wore them yesterday right out of the box for about 9 hours including a couple of hours walking around a mall, walking the dog and a lot of time spend on my feet in the kitchen. The shoes were comfortable the entire time! I also love that they don't look like typical gym shoes, they are more old school. It was between these and the Josef Seibel Dany 05. These won by a hair. I almost kept them both but there was a little bit too much heel slippage on the Dany (I have somewhat narrow heels). I may try the Danys again if I get thicker socks as they were very comfortable as well. I usually wear a 7-7.5 US (though a 6 in FitFlop and 8 in Brooks) and the 38 in these was perfect (as was 38 in the Dany).

Great shoe! I am very hard to fit and this shoe was comfortable the moment I put it on. The arch support was so good I did not need to use my own arch support inserts. It runs a little large. I am a 9M and ordered a 40. I am exchanging them for a 39. I have worn Ecco shoes for the past 15 years. They're my favorite brand.

I rarely write reviews, but felt this shoe deserved one. It is extremely comfortable from the very start. It is a well-made shoe and should last me a long time. And I think it's cute too! I would highly recommend.

I have got low volume feet - flat and a little narrow. I like shoes that tie snugly, and these are perfect even on days when I am running about for 10-12 hours. Six eyelet holes/side lets me lace them the way I like, and they accommodate orthotics without looking like old lady shoes. I am very happy. I logged on to buy a second pair.

I love it when a shoe is comfy from the get go! This shoe is that kind of shoe. At first, when I tired it on, I thought it felt funny on the ball of my foot. I decided to keep and try them on despite what I thought was an odd fit. It turns out these shoes are SUPER light and comfy. I wore them all day and have no blisters or that new-shoe pain. These are great shoes. Stylish, light, comfy. Love them! Worth the hefty bucks. (I hope they last a long time!)

I bought these shoes following a knee injury and immediately prior to a trip. They were extremely comfortable and made my trip enjoyable and facilitated my rehab. This is my second pair of Ecco shoes. I wore the first pair as I hoofed it through Europe last year unaware that they were spin shoes. Either way, Ecco is the way to go for comfortable and stylish shoes for people on the go.

Ecco runs a full size too large on my feet. The 38 fit fine. The laces help with my fussy, narrow feet. The tan edge gives these some style so they don't look matronly. These will look good with jeans.

Very nice shoe with great arch support. Unfortunately I have a narrow heel and these were too loose. I also seem to need a little more room in the front width. I will return them and try another pair.
