Perfect backpack for traveling! Fits well on just about all airlines overhead compartments (including the RyanAir). Also, very comfortable when carry on back. It holds a good amount of clothing, personal items, etc. Overall, it's an excellent choice for travelers.

Great bag. Pretty much the maximum carry-on size you could get away with on an airplane, fit enough clothes for me to track around Scandinavia for 10 days without doing laundry. I've carried this fully loaded for miles and it's pretty comfortable.

I've used this a few times in the past year and love it. It has the elements of a suitcase and a backpack that I was looking for. Opens to pack like a suitcase (not a top loaded backpack) but lets the user move with ease though the airport and trains station with it as a backpack. The compartment for storing straps is good. So far this has survived a few trips as checked airline baggage, holding about 25 lbs of mostly clothing with the usual toiletries, laptop accessories, and some books. I probably could have packed more but didn't need to for these trips. Note: It is not a comfortable as a pack designed primarily for extended hiking but that's okay because I don't use it for that.

I bought the Osprey Porter 46 for my son who to travels frequently. It is so lightweight and practical that it doesn't feel like a backpack at all. It is also a standard carry-on for plane travels. I reccommend it.

This seems to be the perfect sized pack, but after further research and deliberation have determined that I need a pack that is meant for trekking. I am concerned that the reinforced back and straps are not going to be as back-friendly for long treks as I will need. Trying out the Kelty 44 and the Arc'tyrex 35 next!

This bag worked really well for a trip to Turkey where I mostly stayed in hostels. Good size, functions well as backpack or suitcase when you need to tuck in straps.

This is a really great travel pack. It is very well made and quite sturdy. I haven't taken it on a trip yet but did trial packing for a 6 day trip including carrying 2 cameras, 2 dive computers and chargers, a small first aid kit and my small cosmetic/meds pouch. Love everything about it except it is lacking a good sized outside pocket. I have no where to put my sweater or water bottle. I am trying to see how to make this work for me. Still it is a great bag and I had more room on the inside for additional clothing.

Amazing and versatile. Fits easily into overhead. If it isn't overstuffed it will go underneath the seat, sticks out a little. I packed for overnight and carried it like a shoulder bag. If you could plan well, you could put several days worth of clothes in it. I really like it. There are pockets for easy access to items you might need after it has been packed, like snacks and sunglasses. It's light and tough, where as a wheeled carry on is heavy and clumsy. There are netted pockets on the inside to keep stuff organized. Did I say I really like it.

I was looking forward to purchasing this travel backpack and wanted a lightweight bag that was easy to carry. It is light weight, has a full length inside zippered pocked and another pocket on the inside of the lid. I did a trial packing and was able to fit clothes and other items for a 6 day trip with room to spare. The backpack straps are stowed in a zippered pocket on the back and easy to tuck away to keep them from catching in an overhead bin. The padded handles are fantastic and quite comfortable for carrying the bag on and off the plane or to your car. The downside of this bag is, there is only one small outside pocket on the top of the bag. There is no place to carry your water bottle, a sweater or your day pack, book, etc. It is also extremely difficulty to carry with a shoulder strap if you wanted to carry it that way. On the other hand, it folds completely flat for storage, is very well made and if you don't need an outside pocket, this is the bag for you.
