Good shoe for dog agility, running on grass. Very comfortable shoe, however, additional arch support is needed. I find that after a long day, my feet are tired from lack of arch support.

Love my new inov-8 Roclite trail runners. From the minute I put my new shoes on, they just felt great. Nice and comfortable and super light. I'm now going to order a pair for my wife. Keep up the good work guys.

Brands I'd also recommend: yes

I ordered these shoes for my boyfriend. He needed a good pair of hiking shoes. He loves them! They are lightweight and comfortable. I had originally ordered a 12 for him and had to exchange them for a 12 1/2 cause this brand runs a little small. But overall super pleased with the purchase! Worth every penny!

Great except the shoe's insole keeps slipping out on me, don't know if it's me or the shoe. Other than that it's a great lite weight shoe for the trail.

At 81 years of age, I have used many different brands of sports shoes. But I've found the perfect shoe. Good stability, comfortable to walk in and can be used as a golf shoe. My size is 10.5 but after reading the customer reviews, I went to 11.5 and the shoes fit perfectly. I ordered them on 4 o'clock Wednesday and they arrived on Thursday. I don't know how they do it. This is my second pair of Inov 8s - I love them.

Brands I'd also recommend: only inov 8 shoes

I highly recommend these shoes. they are by far the best hiking shoe that I have worn. I will not hesitate to purchase inov again. This was my first experience with this brand. I found them to be very comfortable from the first wearing.

This shoe is exceptional for hiking or running in trails. My feet always feels comfortable and, even when is waterproof (which works great), my feet breathes very well. I have a pair that I bought 8 years ago (which I still wear occasionally), and a newer 2012 or 2013 model (the one that is all black.) Is very light, yet not fragile. It can take some abuse.

Just did my first short trail run (4 mi.) on ice and snow with these shoes and they are absolutely what I was hoping for! I did the first loop without YakTrax and the lugged soles' grip was mighty impressive on the hard ice, although it was safer the second time around with the addition of YakTrax. I heeded the sizing guidance and got 1/2 size larger than normal (11.5 vs 11), and the fit is spot-on despite the fact that I have rather funky feet, with 2 flat feet (left flatter than right) and the forefoot of my right foot much wider due to a broken metatarsal when I was young, and a resulting bunion corrected only partially with surgery. Despite this, my toes never got jammed into the toe box on downhill sections. I have always preferred a stiffer shoe with less cushioning and these are just the ticket. I plan to use some running gaiters with them when the snow melts, and combined with the GTX liner I am sure the experience will be a lot better than last year's running through slush with cold, wet feet!

Brands I'd also recommend: I've used a bunch of Asics in the past with great results, and the Fuji Trainers are a good option.

I bought a pair for the snowy slushy walks that come with MN winters. These offer great traction on snow and they are indeed waterproof. I usually wear a size 12 - wide and I was hoping that these were not too narrow since they don't offer a wide width. They run a little small and I eventually found the size US13 to be the perfect fit. I love these shoes!

These shoes are great. They are comfortable, stable, and lightweight. They are expensive, but it was money well spent.

Fantastic shoes. I typically run a route that is 50% paved and 50% trails/gravel and these shoes handle both surfaces very well. They are a little on the small side, I normally wear a 10 but had to return for a 10.5 which fits well. I did mark them down a bit for style because they're not particularly stylish, but they still merit the 5 stars because chances are if you're buying this particular product you're looking for substance over style, and these are substantively superb shoes.

I've been running with Plantar Faciitis and achilles tendon issues since late 2011. I ordered these from a local running store. Right out of the box they have that broken-in feeling. I have narrow feet and these shoes are very comfortable. If you have wide feet you will not like these shoes. I wear a size 12 and wear compression socks when I trail run. I have enough room to put a extra insole in these shoes to provide more cushioning. These are light, comfortable, have that broken-in feeling right from the box and the grip is second to none. I recently did the Spartan Race in Charlotte NC this year wearing these shoes. The course was extremely wet and muddy. I did not lose traction once in the race. I absolutely love these shoes, i plan on buying another pair soon. I was running in a pair of Mizuno Wave Ascend 7 shoes prior to buying the Inov8's and I run on some wicked trails with a lot of rocks, tree roots, loose pack, hard pack and you name it, if you're a serious trail runner these shoes will not disappoint! Inov8 hit a home run with the Roclite 312 and get yourself a pair!

Great shoe! I have wide feet, and this shoe fits very well with a good for-box, arch support and sole flexibility. First impressions upon opening the shoe box was "wow" this shoe is light and very well made! I love the tread and how the lugs will bend and flex around the terrain, sort of like a tubular cyclocross tire does with medium tire pressure. I cannot get over the quality of workmanship this shoe has, far superior to the crappy mass produced shoes we all have had our entire lives, sans divulging any names, I think we all know what I'm referring to. I will not, I say again, will not buy another brand of shoe for athletic purposes again...Inov-8 is my new shoe of choice, regardless of cost, as we all know "you get what you pay for!"

I bought this shoe for my husband; initially ordering a size 9 which he wears; however, it ran 1/2 size smaller so returned it and ordered a 9 1/2 with no problems (Zappos makes this very easy to do with its great service). It's a great looking shoe; he says that the sole is very sturdy walking and extremely comfortable. He has not run in it but purchased Gore-Tex for outdoor, wet/damp conditions for moderate hiking and walking.

This is the most money I've ever spent on a shoe before, but god when I put them on for the first time I knew exactly where that money went. These are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. It feels like the shoe is actually part of my foot. And, totally waterproof with excellent traction. I've had them for about 6 months, walking/running the streets of NYC in rain and shine. My only problem with them is that my feet will get cold if it's below 40 degrees F, but it was never billed as a winter shoe, so I can't complain. Overall, the best pair of shoes I own.

Overall I am very satisfied with this shoe. Rugged traction does a great job on the trails and if you just wear this shoe around. So far I am impressed with the toe durability. The toe was more roomy than I would have expected but it did not impact performance. I would have like a more durable lace, the regular nylon lace snagged easily and starts to tear. Very comfortable and warm. I also wore these working in the woods clearing brush on a 21 degree day, did perfect. The foot pad has excellent and even cushion from toe to heel. Very lightweight which was nice. I have not been into any wet conditions so I can't speak to that. However, as others have pointed out they lack any stability. I tend to over pronate but found most neutral shoes work great. However with these shoes during my first 5 mile trail run I felt pain in my outer knee like I usually would with shoes with inequitable stability. Especially noticeable with these shoes after a trail run was pain in and around my inferior peroneal retinaculum or other ligaments in and under the fibula. Great show still as I will just get an orthodic to insert. The shoe does have a removable insert that will work well.

I use this shoe to walk my four dogs twice a day in humid and sometimes very wet SE Georgia, USA and it is excellent! I have also used this shoe in Ghana where again it was perfect - with a good two-layer nylon sock my feet don't get too hot!

One shoe had seriously buckled material on a side. Poor quality control. Also they placed some cushioning around the heel which forms a big bulge abrading the achilles tendon.
