I found these shoes very comfortable while giving excellent support for the classes I take, with a combination of weight training and aerobic activity including running. They are well ventilated and have great lateral support.

I wear these shoes for jazzercise almost daily. I feel that they have good support and plenty of room in the toe box for the high impact aerobic classes that I take.

I bought these a month ago for Jazzercise and like them very much! I have a hard time finding shoes with enough lateral support and cush under the ball of my foot - but these do it! I usually wear 7 1/2 - med width and the 7 1/2 that I bought fit perfectly. I wear orthotics and they work well with these. I would recommend these for Jazzercise.

I love these shoes. Ryka claims no break-in period with their shoes and it is true. I teach a step class and these shoes are so supportive and comfortable. Lots of room in the toe box area. I don't even need my orthotics in these shoes.

I'm basically pleased with this shoe for the price. I did put an insert in them after about a month of daily wear for my Jazzercise classes just to give them a bit more cushion. I like that they are vary light and airy, so they feel especially good on hot, summer days.

These shoes are fine. They're not as good as my favorite workout shoes, which are the Ryka Studio Flex Mid. They also make a Studio Flex Low that are good. These shoes were recommended by Cathe Friedrich which is why I bought them. Word to the wise though - I ordered a 10 because I had heard they ran a little small. They definitely do.
Brands I'd also recommend: Ryka Studio Flex Mid

Sending these back & getting a 1/2 size bigger. I think they are going to work but my toe is at the end, which is odd. I'm the same size shoe all of the time.

Read the great reviews and purchased for Jazzercise. The instructors swear by Ryka. Loved the gray ones! I wear an 11 street shoe and, typically, an 11 1/2 athletic shoe to allow for the movement of the foot during activity. Even though I've always heard Ryka runs short, since they don't make 11 1/2 I tried the 11. My toe was almost touching the front edge of the shoe standing still. They still run small. I knew it would be even more uncomfortable once I started jumping around in class. I didn't feel it had the same lateral support for grapevines, etc that other reviewers thought it did. I thought lateral support was lacking. I also thought the cushioning under the heel and forefoot were lacking for all the bouncing around I do in class. The arch support did not support my high arch after walking around the house in them for a few minutes my arches ached - there's no way they would have supported it through a class. For me, definitely not enough room in the shoe or toe box to add a more supportive insole. Doing so the whole shoe felt way tight and my toe was totally touching the edge standing still. Sadly, will be sending these back and my hunt for the perfect Jazzercise shoe continues. Zappos rocks even though this shoe didn't for me.

Writing this review pains me. I absolutely loved the Assist XT 2. It's stylish, has amazing lateral support and footbed cushioning. It's just the right height and I loved the feeling of padding against my heel. Even with that padding, though, my heel slips in these! It's not that I got a size too big (I wear a 7.5 athletic and that's what I got) because it fit perfectly in every other way. And when I ordered a size down in another style (the Synergy) it uncomfortably tighter everywhere else but my heel still slipped. So, I return these and continue my search for the perfect XT shoe. I was planning on using these for aerobics classes that involve balancing, quick lateral movements, weight work, and jumping.

Love the look of this shoe. The rubber already started chipping off from the bottom though, after about six times wearing them. Also, my heel gets a little sore while running in these.

This is my (3rd) pair of Ryka, so obviously I like them. However, this is the first time that I had to return them for size. They ran very small (6.5), I couldn't even get my foot in. I felt that the next size up was small (toe room) as well, but I decided to keep them. After about my 3rd time wearing them, they started to feel more comfortable. They are nice and light and very comfortable with good support. I will continue to purchase Rykas, but the manufacturer needs to look into their sizing. I had my foot measured and I am a 6.5!

Like the look of the shoe and they are comfy. However, this style does not provide the lateral stability needed for aerobics, so I wouldn't purchase them again.

Nice comfortable shoe out of the box. Runs slightly smaller than some of the other Ryka's that I have purchased but still very comfortable.
Brands I'd also recommend: Muzuno waves or alchemy's are great running shoes

Although I thought I would like this aerobics shoe. I found that the outside edge cuts into my foot. I am returning this. :(

Review for the Ryka assist xt. These look good, are very light and breathe very well, which I like. Negatives: They offer no arch support. Also, the deep tread design of the shoes collects more dirt than other walking/running shoes I have tried; these may be more suited for indoor exercise/gym workouts versus outdoor use on walking trails and running paths.

These shoes are very cute! I wish they would have worked out for me, but the fit was not quite right. I normally wear Asics or New Balance, but I liked the styling of these Rykas more. They just don't feel quite right in the arch area of my feet.

I ordered these in my usual size and they were too small on me. Then I ordered a larger size and they were a little too large and there was something rubbing on my inside arch of my foot. I don't know, I always buy Ryka shoes but these were not right for me. I liked the look of them though.

I was disappointed in this shoe for a few reasons. It provides very little support for forward and lateral movements and left my feet and knees feeling stressed and in pain after workouts. I purchased inserts to see if that would help with support but it didn't. The shoe is about a half size larger particularly in the front/toe area (and I have a wide foot) as there was too much room and my foot was sliding around. This is my first upset from Ryka.

I wear Ryka shoes for Jazzercise and normally have good luck with them, but the Assist XT2 really hurt my foot. I liked the Intensity XT3, which is not made anymore. I would recommend the Transition, which is what I'm getting next.
