I have worn NB WW811 for years! I loved them and was heartbroken to find they were no longer available. I decided to try the WW812 even though some reviews didn't care for them. They are OK, but not like putting on a new pair of 811's! They do seem a bit wider in the heel but I can make do. I wore them for several weeks and then when it cooled off enough for long pants...I pulled out my tan pair of 811's I had bought last year! I loved my 811's...I like my 812's.

These last a long time -- my 4 1/2 year old pair just started falling apart so despite the cost, I definitely got my money's worth out of them. I wear these every day year round so they have a lot of mileage. Plenty of room for toes. Can't wait to get my new pair!

I use to wear the 811 I was told by New Balance that the 812 was the same thing modernized a little. I bought them and they are much narrower in the middle of the foot I have red marks on my feet when I take off my shoes at night and they make my orthotics rub the bottoms of my feet causing callouses I have just ordered another brand of shoes. I really miss the 811, they were heavenly I could sleep in them. I am praying that New Balance will make them again.

Really pleased with these shoes. Have trouble getting a shoe with enough toe room because of knots on my toes. They are very comfortable.

I have been buying NB 800 Series for 20 years, based on a recommendation of a podiatrist; always the same size. As the series advanced up to NB811 the style and design remained the same. I ordered these with confidence knowing that the latest pair would be perfect. As it turns out, the 812 is a drastically different design and fit than it's predecessors. It has a new puffy heel wrap that does not hold my foot in place. It feels about an inch too long in the toe. I am sadly disappointed as I will now have to find a new sneaker after all these years. Based on reviews I have read, I am going to try NB927 or 928.

Read other reviews! No arch support on this shoe at all. Be prepared to pay for an orthotic insert. Not a good walker: feet hurt after only 10 minute soft walking, heel is too wide and can't tie shoe tight enough to keep foot inside shoe when walking. Not a good purchase.

I have worn the WW 811 shoes for many years.It is the only shoe that fits my foot and gives me good balance. I have tried two different WW 812 and they both break across my toes in the wrong place and I get rubbing on my toes that is very uncomfortable. Could you PLEASE bring back the WW 811?

These shoes are awesome! I'd previously worn the NB 811 and when I didn't see them offered tried a different style which was perfect for my right foot. But the left foot has a bit of an issue and so I did more research. Found that NB has different styles for different foot issues and thus learned that this 812 had replaced the 811. So glad I did as it has made a huge difference. Was very surprised how quickly they came which was a blessing as I was hurting and also planning a short vacation. Thank you NB and Zappos! Also note plenty of room for my own orthotic.

I wanted to love these shoes but, like others have noted, my heels keep popping out. I purposefully chose these for the SL-2 last which is supposed to have a roomy toe box, high instep and narrow heel. The toebox is great, the instep is good but the heel is very loose. I have to tie them tightly to have the heels stay put but then the instep is too snug. I'd like to wear them daily but I don't - perhaps every 3-4 days. Style wise they are a bit chunky and look like nurse's shoes.

I have been wearing this shoe for 5 years... dealing with chronic low back issues. I ordered a new pair, and find out it's not leather! Never knew. I have since tried on a number of other New Balance shoes and my back doesn't hurt. I will never buy the 812 again.

This is a great shoe. I love the way it hugs your heel. I have a lot of problems with slipping heels, so this was a welcome change. One thing - it runs wide and long! I had to order a 1/2 size smaller than usual.

I've been wearing shoes from Zappos for over ten years now and wouldn't go anywhere else for shoes. What I especially like is the heel/ankle support the shoe provides. When their everyday looks fade they get rotated to "work in the garden shoes!" I still have the original pair I got!

I just bought these shoes before leaving for Paris where we wanted at least 3-4 miles a day. They were great...my feet and ankles still swelled but they didn't hurt and I didn't get any blisters (I also wear Thorlo walking socks!) This is the third pair of these shoes I've bought over the last 10 years at least...adapting to the new models as they discontinue the old. I highly recommend them. And yes, they do run small and narrow, so I bought a size 8 in medium width, when I usually wear a 7 1/2 narrow.

Zappos sent this product in fast time and it is exactly what I ordered. I plan to use Zappos again and again in the future. These shoes are for a daughter who needs them for work. A local shoe store carries them but did not have the color available would get them from another store and call me. I am still waiting for the call. Zappos is just great.
