Comfortable, versatile shoe with good arch support. I walked across Scandinavia without any foot, leg or lower back discomfort. I highly recommend this shoe.

I really like the way these shoes feel and look. I wore them around the house a few days to see if they would work for me because I have bunions and callouses. Also arthritis which slows down my activities. I did put mole skin on the places I mentioned to avoid any problems. I just took a trip to Chicago where I walked more than usual and I was very pleased with the comfort of these shoes. This is my second pair of Mephistos and I really do like them. I recommend them for the comfort plus they are really cute and I have received compliments on them.

This is a stylish comfortable shoe. Cool enough for summer, comfortable for walking and a good neutral color.

Nice looking shoe, but too wide for my narrow foot. Gaps on sides and top of foot. Perhaps a very thick sock would help, but not not a good solution for a summer shoe. Arch support should be better on a shoe that costs this much. Returned shoe due to width problem.

I love this shoe, but it was huge, so sorry to send it back.

These shoes are comfortable and really cute, but not quite enough cushion in the sole for my feet. I have a low ankle bone and the strap rubbed a little.. Fit otherwise is great. Other Mephisto sandals have been perfect. Thanks to Zappos easy return it was possible to try something new.

I wore the Galina right out of the box and all day, and I was thrilled with the comfort and fit. I am wide in the toe box but not in the rest of my foot. The Galina looks like it would be too narrow in the toe box but was not. These are charming shoes.

I've been looking for a simple walking shoe and this seems to fit the bill, although I haven't yet walked long distances. Easy on and off and not bad looking. I wear 6-1/2 and these were true to size. As other reviewers have said, the white is more of a light gray/beige, but I prefer this to a stark white shoe. I don't know if "Mephisto Galina" is a separate company from Mephisto, but if the quality is similar to Mephisto, the shoes should last a long time.

Galina (smooth white) I knew fit/comfort was not going to be an issue with these as I have the shoe in three other colors purchased over the last few years. It feels like a sneaker but far more versatile. I do want to note that the smooth white is NOT white at all. When I first unpacked them under fluorescent lighting they had a blue/green tint (which fortunately disappeared under natural light). They are really a very light gray/taupe. That isn't a deal-breaker for me but if you are looking for a true white this isn't going to make you happy. The color which is pretty much what is depicted in the picture is probably far more versatile than true white and will be more forgiving as far as dirt and general signs of wear. It's a wonderful around-town and travel choice and fine with capris, shorts, and even jean skirts. I usually wear a toe cover with them which does not show thanks to the straps. If you are looking for a "summer sneaker" this is a perfect option. Yay Zappos!

This is my second pair of these shoes. Good for travel as they are comfortable for leisurely walking and can be worn with pants or skirts.

I have 2 pair of these Galina's and get lots of compliments on them. The first pair I got 4 years ago in orange which is a great fun color that actually goes with a lot. I wore them non-stop in Italy (lots of all day walking) and they were perfect! They are now almost 4 years old and still fabulous though a bit more scuffed than I'd like and it's hard to find orange shoe polish. Last spring I bought a 2nd pair in the coffee color, and I'm considering buying the blue or the red this spring! (What I'd buy in a heartbeat is purple! Hint, hint.) Clearly, I love this shoe!

Soft but good support, able to adjust fit nicely. My 89 year old mother bought these and loved them, although they ran a bit short for her and Zappos is out of the next size up in the blue. She gave them to my cousin who is a nurse who broke her foot about a year ago, she loves them.

Very comfortable. I have wide feet & these shoes only come in medium width, but they were wide enough even for my fat feet.

I have a pair of Mephisto Sano's I have been wearing all winter. The fit is very comfortable. Toe box is roomy; sole is supportive with enough arch support to give all day comfort. Ordered the off white but would have preferred the Red...however, will definitely keep the off white as it is a good neutral color but shoe style speaks to the fun side of foot fashion. More important - Mephisto support definitely built into this shoe.

These are not white. They are more of a putty color. I will keep them because I will be able to use them, but I ordered them thinking that they were white, silly me, because the description says they are white. They are NOT white.

I am consistently a size 39 in Mephisto sneakers and a size 40 in Mephisto sandals. These shoes were just a bit short for me in size 39. Size 39.5 feels good and perfect. Other than that, I love the look of these shoes, very airy, light, and pretty in the ocean nubuck!

This shoe is relatively comfortable. I feel the the back vamp could have been a little higher. I wear my orthotic with them, which does take a little room away from the shoe. They are cute and look great with jeans, but I find it hard to wear them all day. Not sure if they're worth the price, but worth a try.

I wanted a shoe that was stylish for walking around cities on trips to hot climates. This shoe does that and it is very comfortable--no break-in period. This is my first Mephisto and they are expensive so I hope it lasts. I do wish the sole color was a beige and not white.

Fisherman sandals are versatile and hard-to-find. These are comfortable and comparatively sleek-looking, with soft leather that feels good against bare feet. The Zappos size equivalents are misleading: the 37.5 fit me, but my US size is 7 and usually a 38 or 37.5 is my European size. These are wider than usual for Mephisto shoes; good for me as my forefoot is wide (one bunion) while my heels are narrow. Caramel color is rich and versatile.

Nice shoe. Not as much arch support as I would like, but you can change out the insole. Size 8.5 fit me fine. That is my usual size. I liked the tan color. Interestingly, Spring Step makes an almost exact copy of this shoe for half the price: Spring Step Majorette.

I have worn Mephisto shoes before but this is the first sandal. The size is perfect and I like the color. I wear my sandals barefoot & the first problem was the threads seem to be the fishing line type. So where the little ends are sticking up they hurt my feet. But I did solve that by gently filing the end with my nail file, in case this helps someone else. The only other problem is my feet are narrow and my foot lifts out of the heel when I walk.

Love this style, however left foot a bit longer in the 2nd toe, so I am concerned that they may be uncomfortable but am now wearing them "gently" around carpet area of home, and will determine if I need to go up 1/2 size. Afraid that right shoe will flop around then, and the left shoe will be perfect! Leather is subtle, and yummy. Style great.

These shoes are stylish and made of a material that would be easy to clean. They fit perfectly and I was very disappointed to have to return them. I suffer with plantar fasciitis and these shoes lacked the support I need, especially in the arch. There wasn't any arch support at all in these cute shoes. But the footbed and heel were comfortable. So, if you don't need a large arch support, these shoes will probably be perfect for you!

Very disappointing; 1st time I've bought a shoe from Mephisto that wasn't true to size. Am hoping there's some give.

Darling shoe but the heel counter is so oddly formed that it hits my heel too low for comfort. I really wanted to keep these shoes but walking around the house demonstrated that any kind of walking will cause the heel counter (the back of the shoe) to rub my heel with every step.
