These boots are gorgeous! I love the leather, the pebbling, the heel, the height, the buckle - they are pricey, but should last and last! High quality all the way. They do seem to run a half size small and are a bit of a challenge to pull on but that's expected with the height, I guess. Would highly recommend these awesome boots!

I have seen reviews that said these boots run large; I have seen reviews that the boots run small. I normally wear a 7 to 7.5. I ordered a 7.5 The boots were very hard to get on and off, and when on, they had too much room in the foot area. I then ordered a size 7. Oddly, the 7s are easier to get on and they fit perfectly! Love these boots! Can't wait to wear them.

These boots are beautiful, stylish, and well-made! I receive lots of compliments and love the color. The one thing I didn't like was the slick sole - so I went to a cobbler and had them add a soleguard to prolong the life of the boots! I am normally an 8, but always order an 8.5 in Frye.

While the color of these boots is not as dark as in the picture or what I desired, I must say this is a quality pair of boots. Excellent quality leather and really comfortable to wear. Would definitely recommend!

I bought these boots a while back and am still in love with them. They were comfy right from the start but have gotten even more comfortable over time. I am normally a size 8 but went half a size down with these and put insoles in to take up some space. I do not have any trouble getting them off or on. I have a 31" inseam and these hit about mid-knee, definitely not over-the-knee. The slate color is much lighter than shown here and you're better off going to the Frye website to get a more accurate color representation.

I have had nothing but compliments all day, every day I wear these boots. I had to run to catch a train and they were absolutely comfortable and Frye quality is stunning, as always. The grey color is really beautiful and there is a white protective coating on the boots that can easily be removed with a cloth. I used an old wash cloth and tossed it after.

These boots are gorgeous, but I do have a complaint, and I personally think it's a significant one. They are half a size too big in the length of the foot and they are narrow. I normally wear a size 6 and these boots in a size 6 are way too long for my foot but they're narrow. So at first, I thought they would work just fine. After wearing them twice (so I can't exchange them) they stretched enough that they're too big all around. I got some insoles and that has helped, but I really wish I'd have known this before I purchased them. I read those most 4 or 5 reviews on Zappos and didn't see any mention of this. Bummer, considering the price! I mean they're so pretty and the insoles made them work okay, but they're still way too long even though everything else fits a little better.

Bought these boots for my daughter as a Birthday present. She loves Frye boots. This is her third pair. Ordering from Zappos is the way to go. I have always received great customer service, prompt delivery and items are always NEW, not used or sample items.

I love these boots! I got the dark brown one. The color of the boots looks a little different from the picture on Zappos. Either way it is still a very pretty shade of brown. I get compliments everywhere I go. When I received the boots and opened up the box, I was a little disappointed seeing a lot of white powder on it, and it took some effort getting it off the boots. I called Customer Service to inquire about that, and they informed me that it's a powder the company puts on it so that the leather does not get scratched in transit. I was asked to use a soft damp cloth to wipe it off, and it worked! The quality is excellent, and I can't wait to wear it again. This is definitely not the last Frye Boot I will be adding to my collection. The pure leather gives it such a rich look and feel. You can wear it with an elegant short dress or with jeans and you can look dressy or casual. I would definitely recommend these boots. Just don't expect the color to be true to the pictures on here.

I've been avoiding zipper-less boots because in the past they have been impossible to get off. These are such a pretty style I decided to try them anyway, and am so glad that I did. They come up to about the middle of my knee (I'm 5'2 and take a size 6 shoe), which is perfect for skirts and skinny jeans. And they are so comfortable. I bought my normal size, and can wear wool socks with them. Getting the boots off is not too much of a hassle, although getting them on is more difficult. The other reviews indicate that it gets easier as the boots get worn in.

I bought these boots hoping they would be a comfortable and stylish go to boot for all year round wear, but unfortunately they never broke in and got quite as comfortable as my other pair of Frye boots that I adore the Carmen Harness Tall. For those that want a comfy boot, keep in mind, these are a much stiffer, hard toe boot than the slouchy Carmen Harnass family of Frye boots. Narrower, stiffer shaft, and a little tough to pull on. As always, Zappos customer service was stellar, and allowed me to return these, without giving me a hard time at all, even after I told them I had worn them a few times, they were able to make a one time exception and take them back. For the cost, I really wanted to love these boots, but when I didn't Zappos saved the day and allowed me to return them. Thank you Zappos!

I own these boots in taupe and love them! They are soft and very comfortable, the entire fit is amazing. Heel is good for walking around and leather is extremely soft. Having said that, I purchased a pair in black grainy leather and they did not fit the same. Leather was tough and it was hard to wear. Unfortunately had to return them! Again, the taupe style is perfect, extremely comfortable and stylish, my rating here is for the black pair I purchased and am returning.

These boots are quite narrow. I always wear medium-width shoes, although my feet are on the wider side. I could barely get them on and once I did, they were uncomfortable. I ordered my normal size and a half size up -- neither fit. The slate burnished leather is a beautiful, neutral color which is lighter than what is shown in the product photos. The leather is quite variable so you will see different patterns/textures/shades on each boot in the same pair.

These boots are absolutely fabulous to say the least. I ordered the burnished tan and they are the perfect neutral to accent any outfit. I also must say that Zappos is such an accommodating and extraordinary company. I had a certain issue, and they worked with me and made me a happy gal. I lusted over these boots for months but unfortunately waited until my size in the red sold out. Someone must have recently returned a pair and yes I snatched them up this time. They are so cute, well made and comfortable. I am seriously considering another pair in another color. My only complaint is that they are hard to get on. But that's OK because they are the bomb.

I got the Shirley strappy for x mas, to tight on my calf muscle. But these... OMG! Most amazing Frye boots yet. This is my fourth pair. I love them. I am normal an 8, and ordered an 8 in these. I usually order up a 1/2 size in Frye. I ordered the black and love them! I am 5'8 and 140 lbs. I am very athletic and have large calves. It is hard to find boots that will go over my jeans. These do! A bit hard to get on, but once on super comfy. I stand all day at work and these are great. Worth every penny.
