We have had these shoes for about a month, I did have to wash them the second day due to a mud puddle incident and they washed up great. My three year old seems to really like them. He does not have wide feet, but they are thick on top and the Velcro closure does not completely attach, but they still feel very secure on his feet. In my hands I was very surprised how light and flexible these shoes are. As far as how they feel to him, good luck getting a straight answer out of a three year old!

My 4.5 year old son loves them! They are very lightweight, flexible and the best part is that he can get them on by himself! The tongue is attached up one side, so it doesn't slide down when he puts his foot in - just wonderful. I have already thrown them in the wash. I just let them air dry. I will buy another pair this Fall! They do seem a little wide - my son doesn't have wide feet, but it makes it easier to get them on and off.

We love these shoes! I bought them after seeing them on my friends’ son. First off I thought the look and colors were just awesome for a kid’s shoe. Then after we ordered them from Zappos we realized why everyone loves these shoes. So easy for my toddler to put on and take off. I just ordered another pair for him in the next size up.

This is our 4th pair of Tsukihoshis. My 7 year old son said this when he first walked around in this pair: "Ahhh.... it feels like my feet are snoozing on a bed of jelly. I definitely want to keep these!" What can I possibly add to that?! We love Tsukihoshi! He has a high instep and they always work.

My 4 1/2 year-old-son wore these sneakers last summer and I got them again for him this summer. Light weight and super comfortable for the summer. He's very happy in them.

These are great shoes for preschoolers/toddlers. We're on our third pair for both kids. Best of all, toss them in the wash and they turn out great.

Live these shoes. My 3 year old can put the on himself and they look really cute. Lots of compliments on these shoes. It's our second pair, and won't be the last. Hold up well too, will be good enough for little brother to wear soon.

My three year old has not only wide feet, but thick feet, and these shoes are awesome. I've always bought Tsukihoshi shoes for him and I have trouble finding any other shoes that even come close to fitting him so well. Love them!!

My 4 year old son loves these shoes! We've had several pairs of this brand and they're all super comfy. Perfect for kids with wide feet and the foot opening is really big so it's easy for him to put on himself. I bought several pairs of shoes through Zappos, different brands, all of them had lights and were really cool looking. He tried the Tsukihoshi ones on last and the second he had them on his feet he said these were the ones. They must feel really good to give up cool light up shoes! Not that these are bad looking but come on, they had lights! Highly recommend this shoe, and this brand in particular you can't go wrong!

These shoes are great! My little one can take them on and off himself. They are wider than other brands, which is a blessing for us as shoes are hard to find that fit right. If your child has a wider foot, then I would definitely recommend these shoes. They are super cute too! My little boy loves them!

I love these shoes! They are so light and comfortable. They need no "breaking in". Very flexible and easy to put on. We had no problems with wear and tear like some reviews mention. My son wore them for a solid week at Disney World, and they still look brand new. My daughter had a pair of Tsukihoshi's first and we loved them. I wouldn't buy any other brand of gym shoes--totally worth the money.

They are my son's new favorite shoes. It's a very light sneaker and very sporty looking. When the velcro is lifted the shoe opens up very wide so that it's very easy for the child to get their feet into the shoes.

After reading these reviews, I was hesitant to buy these, but my son really needed a new pair of sneakers and he really wanted red. We've had them for about a month now, and they're great! Great sneaker for active "little people" True to size, light and washable - so it always looks nice. Seems to be very comfortable - our very active little 2, almost 3 year old, loves em from the moment they are on his feet. No red marks or chafing and he never wants to take em off. This is our 5th sneaker of this brand. We are hooked.
