Overall, I am happy with the shoes. They fit perfectly (size 8) even with my arch support orthotics, very comfortable and didn't really need to break them in at all. Only issue I had, is that the black leather is super-shiny. At first I thought they were patent-leather, but then realized they weren't. (Everyone else thinks they are patent too.) I thought about sending them back, but then decided to try them for a while. They make my work outfits a little more dressy with the shine. The photos on the website don't show how shiny they really are. I was used to black leather loafers from Naturalizer (not shiny and now discontinued) so it took me a while to get used to them.

The best loafer! Have been seriously searching for the "perfect" basic loafer for a couple of years, and THIS IS IT! I put it on when it arrived and have almost been wearing non-stop...with boot-cut jeans, skinnies, leggings. So comfortable & looks great! I do have kind of a narrow foot, and this is a great fit! Going to order another color right now.

I love these and am so sorry they are out of stock in my size. Everyone is right; the "wide" is just normal. Also, this Casell leather is much softer and better than the other loafer styles.

These shoes are BEAUTIFUl, classy and classic. The picture does not do them justice. I got the Burgandy and they fit like a glove. I am a 10 M or a 9 1/2 W, so I paid attention to what the other ladies said and ordered up a 1/2 size. They fit beautifully. If you are unsure whether to get these or a more expensive Bass loafer, save your money and get these. When they stretch a little they will be perfect.

Ordered a pair of these in burgundy for an interview. Beautiful detail all around, and fits well with a little breaking in. The toes seemed a little narrow at first, until I wore them a bit. Excellent quality for the price.

Great Shoes - These shoes are very comfortable and look great with slacks and jeans. I started wearing them as soon as I got them! The reviews helped me in selecting the right size. I have a very narrow foot and sometimes have to go to a size larger depending on how the shoe is made. I stayed with a 7.5 and the fit was perfect (no need for an 8). The company also sent my order very quickly. I only had to wait a few days! Thanks Zappos!

True to its name - I love Bass loafers; they have a classic look that never goes out of style and can be worn with everything from jeans to a skirt. They're great in the office and out at night. I have a hard time finding shoes that fit and are comfortable, but Bass always comes through.

Just what I was looking for - Finally! The return of the traditional penny loafer! I love these. While I love the modern version that has been out in recent years, slightly more feminine… I needed the traditional one for winters in New England. Needed just a little bit more shoe that I could wear with socks instead of stockings and casual/business casual clothes. Penny loafers are perfect. And these are the perfect loafers! LOVE the color… not quite brown, definitely not black, but really goes with everything.

LKB - I had been wanting a pair of penny loafers for a long time. When I checked Zappos site, I noticed that the price wasn't at all what I expected. So I've got a great shoe that is true to size and very very comfortable. I am very pleased with Zappos and this brand. Of course this isn't my first order nor will it be my last. Yikes - I bought this shoe several weeks ago and I'm still trying to break them in! While I appreciate the hard leather and the overall look of the shoe, the backs of my heels hurt! Now, to accommodate the pain, I wear two pairs of socks, which have lessened the sting a bit. I really wish I would've gotten a half-size larger.

Casual comfort - Just perfect to slip on with jeans. So comfortable with the soft leather. I've had them for about three weeks now and they keep getting more comfortable. I had them shipped to work and tried them on and decided to wear them home that night, I was barefoot, walked 2 miles, and not a single blister or sore spot. I have yet to wear any socks or hose with them, and probably never will as they are so comfortable and so easy to just slip on. I ordered my size and I would say they are true to size.

Love My Loafers!! SIZING: Purchased a pair of blk, 8 1/2W got exactly that. An 8 would have been too short and a 9 too long, ergo sizing is right-on. I have an exception bone width at the metatarsal and if it pulls in at all I get a mean pain in the foot as well as an ugly, thick callus on the outside of the large toe (if only I had been able to get all my shoes here with the W). To address the SHIPPING...nothing but unheard of excellence. I ordered online on a Friday afternoon and with the free shipping was looking for them at the earliest the following Friday or Saturday...No...they were on my porch the following Monday. Even with companies advertising express delivery (and charging me out the ying-yang for their definition of express) I've never experienced such a fast delivery of any purchase. COMFORT: I have worn them about 7 times (short/long) periods of time) and cannot feel any need for 'breaking-in'. If they can get any more comfortable I may forget I have them on...no exaggeration. LOOKS: They look just like the classic loafer of the 60s. I tried finding this shoe in just about every store I peeked my head into (a lot of shoe stores) but only found what I wanted at Zappos. I do wish the leather looked a bit 'thicker' or richer; however, no way are they leaving my closet except on my feet. Definitely keepers...not just another disappointing shoe purchase.
