I bought these shoes for work, as I'm on my feet all day (hospital work), and Danskos are too hard to wear every day but running shoes break down so fast that buying a new pair every 3 months gets expensive. So I thought a leather hiking shoe would be a nice go between to alternate with my Danskos. I like how durable these shoes are. I am a size 8 in running shoes and the 39.5 recommended by Zappos fits very well. I was surprised at how stiff they are out of the box but after wearing them around they have loosened up a little. I wanted a durable shoe and I definitely got it! I have what is equivalent to compartment syndrome in both feet so I do wear podiatric orthotics in both shoes, so I'm not sure how the shoes feel without them. These shoes are not crowded by my orthotics at all and the overall fit is really nice. I can splay my toes and the heel does not slip. The shoe hugs the foot and arch support for my very high arch is adequate. I was surprised at how low profile they look in person; they seemed a little bulkier in the online pics. I was hesitant to buy shoes online but this was a sound purchase. I hope when the time comes, I will be able to find these again because finding shoes that do not hurt my feet is definitely one of my lifetime tasks. As always, Zappos' shipping was lightening fast; I ordered them Monday afternoon and received them Tuesday afternoon. How do they do that!?!?

Nice shoe! These shoes have a nice, aggressive, grippy tread and cool style. I was torn between these and the 5.10 Guide Tennies. They were very comfortable, except for in the toe box. I decided to return these because after testing them out in the house, they were pressing down on my toes. If the toe box were just a bit higher, they'd be perfect...

I was looking for a lightweight hiker I would be comfortable in all day walking and standing - in the summer. I tried several shoes and narrowed it down to the following 3 styles which I consider very similar in fit. I will paste this review on each shoe's page. I also considered and loved Merrell Moab Ventilator in Taupe as well as the Scarpa Womens Zen lady multisport shoe. The latter had a great design and cool leather stitching detail that looked like quilted diamonds. These were very comfortable, but a little firm underfoot. I ultimately decided against these because they are leather and require special care which I just couldn't be bothered with for a summer hiking shoe. The Moab was also very comfy and I had a really hard time deciding between this and the siren, but ultimately decided the siren just a bit lighter and more flexible for summer use and just really loved the orange stripes and orange/grey shoe laces. Plus, these are waterproof which is essential in the summer. One tiny negative that other reviewers commented on and I noticed as well is that the heel is a bit loose on this style. I have a narrow heel. I have to tie the shoes very tight in order for the heel not to flap. I definitely need to wear socks with these shoes. I did not notice this problem in the other 2 models. If I had endless funds, I'd keep all 3!

I'm very happy with these. They fit me perfectly in my usual size, and I have a normal foot, no problems. I think they're attractive, too, so they're keepers for me.

Fantastically comfortable. I ordered a half size big but would have been okay with my regular size. Great arch support, big toe box with a padded tongue for no toe bang. And they're cute. I'm loving these.

Wow, what a beautiful and comfortable hiking shoe. Put it on and walked all day the first day. However, since it's light in color, you'll want to spray them to help protect against staining, etc.

These are very attractive shoes among hiking shoes. The sole is very stiff, and it turned out to have great traction in snow and ice. Like the other reviewers, I found that these shoes press down on the tops of my toes. I nearly returned them for that reason, but they turn out to be comfortable enough. Size 41.5 fits my feet that need size 10 with orthotics. (I knew that from past Scarpa shoes.)

This feels like a superb approach shoe, but with surprisingly ample room in the toe box. The style is quite cute considering it's aggressive nature. What doomed this shoe for me is that the tongue is so long and wide that most of the shoe has a double layer of material and is a bit warm. Also because of all this extra material it is quite firm in the toe area when trying to bend very far. The arch is perfectly moderate and everything seems durable.

Ordered this size based on the reviews I read. Unfortunately, they ran really large. The shoe also felt super stiff. I will try reordering the Scarpa Mojito and see if that works better.
