I have had these Hunters Wellies for less than a year. I do wear them everyday. The left boot has developed three tears, and is no longer waterproof. These boots should last much longer than less than a year. In the past Hunters has been a reliable brand, but after having to return two pairs before these I am faced with attempting to return these or no longer buying Hunters brand. I am disappointed in the loss of quality with Hunters Wellies. I would attach a photo, but don't see a place for that.

I received these as a Christmas gift after admiring them for quite awhile. Unfortunately, I was not impressed with them. Especially for the price. They're overall pretty comfy and a nice fit but offer little support and if it's cold out, forget about it. If it's a cold rain, even when you splurge for the welly socks, these boots do not keep your feet even slightly toasty. Additionally, the buckle broke off one of my boots after only a few wears. Cute and pretty comfy but I wouldn't recommend these. Too expensive for the quality of the boot.

I bought my Hunter boots from Zappos a few years ago. I take care of my belongings. The boots developed a white haze on them the first season. I read the Hunter product care instructions, but nothing really helped with the white haze long-term. I have learned to live with it. But this afternoon, I wore the boots outside in the yard for the first time this season. My feet got wet. Both boots have small cracks in the rubber that are letting the water in. Long story short, I am very disappointed. I have worn these boots probably 25 times, mostly in and around our garden, and have treated them with TLC. My husband bought cheap rubber boots from the hardware store when I got my Hunters and his boots are fine. No haze, no cracks. Stylish, yes. Hard-wearing, definitely not.

I'm not sure why there are so many 5-star reviews for this product. It is a great boot initially, but doesn't last. I figured for this price I'd have them at least a few seasons, but within a year the heels wore down and started leaking. Then a seam in the back split, and it rubs against my heel and makes my foot bleed. Then one of the buckles broke. Overall it a great design and works well for rain/snow. I live in an urban area and do a lot of walking. The quality that I expected for the price just wasn't there with this boot.

I have had my Hunters for 1½ years and they have been leaky for the past eight months. I am not sure if these boots are even worth the price and hype anymore. I thought I would have these boots for decades like the original Hunter boots from Scotland. Instead, I have a pair of boots that have sprung mysterious leaks that I do not know how to fix other than wrapping my boot in duct tape.

Do not buy Hunter boots, their logo is now only a sticker on the boot. I bought my daughter a pair last year for this season she wore them for a month and the logo started to come off, I called Hunter and because it had been more then a year of date of purchase I could not even exchange! Seriously the logo is glued on!

I purchased a pair of heavy hunter boots with a fleece lining from Saks. They are very difficult to get on - but once on they are very comfortable and easy to remove. Getting them on is a struggle.

I am very disappointed with these boots. They fit ok in the foot but they are so tight in the leg! I dont have big calves but these are just too small to wear with the wellie socks and skinny jeans. Honestly if I sent them back though and got a size larger the foot would be too big. These are cute boots but definately made for twig thin girls. Overall - save your money.

The boots are way too tight around the calf. I never realized I had to worry about boots fitting around my calf. The boot was like suctioned to my leg. There was no room to wear pants with the boots. I'm very disappointed because I really wanted a pair of these boots. Hunter should really make a new style that has a larger circumference.

I love the boot but the sizing is weird. I wear a 9, bought a 39 and 40/41 and the 40/41 is only one size. I needed a straight 40. If you wear a size 9, this is probably not the boot for you.

Warning for petites. These boots were way too tall on me. I am 5'2" with accordingly short legs. I ordered these in my usual size 8. They came half way up my kneecaps. This obviously made bending my knee/walking awkward and uncomfortable, and just looked silly. I had to send them back. I've got no issues with the quality or anything, and for taller people (or maybe petite people with a smaller shoe size) they're great. But if you're petite with normal sized feet, this might not be the boot for you.

I had fretted and researched and drove myself crazy with the purchase of a silly rain boot. I decided to bite the bullet and pay more for a good quality boot, and was so excited to get these. I feel like I've been seeing them everywhere and had to have my own in aubergine to stroll around the neighborhood. However, as soon as I opened the box, I saw the "made in China" label, and that really turned me off. This was a special purchase for me and I really thought I would get quality. Say what you will, but made in China does not convey quality to me. That, and they were also bulky around the ankles and not the svelte look I was anticipating. I am returning them. I can pay 1/5 the price for a good Kamik made in Canada pair and feel much better about myself.

Brands I'd also recommend: Kamik, Chooka

These boots are very cute, but they don't fit over my calves! I had heard this was a problem for other people, but I honestly figured it was just a problem for people who actually have large calves. I have muscular calves, but I would not have considered them large. Anyway, I will have to return them. Luckily Zappos has such a great return system.

Okay, I was beyond pumped to receive these boots in the mail. When they arrived, (overnight) I must say I am rather disappointed. I am normally a size 6.5/7. I ordered the size 38 (women's 7) and they feel big. The shaft of the boot is scrunchy and doesn't stand straight up once on. The top of the boot is very tight around the calf. I measured my calf (15.5 inches). With the fleece liner, they are a bit tight. I'm on the fence if I will be keeping these.

I bought the black ones. They began to look chalky/dusty the first time I wore them and the buckle fell off! I'm very disappointed because I've wanted Hunter boots for a long time. I expected much better quality.

They fit well. However, they literally stink (of rubber). I can't imagine inhaling those fumes all day in my office. I will be looking elsewhere for lined boots that don't give me a headache.

I think these are the cutest boots, but they do run very tight around the calves, especially if you have dancer calves like I do. I bought a pair and had to return them, because although they fit without the fashion sock or my jeans tucked in, I wouldn't be able to wear them with anything except leggings. I would recommend trying a pair on in the store before ordering.

I do love my Hunter's boots, but I have to say that most of that comes from loving the brand name. I just got my 2nd pair because the first developed holes in both boots (after about 5 months of ownership and not much use). I'm hoping this pair keeps my feet dry and stays true to the color. The purple shade is beautiful, and goes with almost every color you will be wearing. It's dark enough to be unobtrusive to your outfit, but still gives you the fun color punch. My first pair didn't stay true to the original color and developed a waxy white shade. Supposedly, this is what happens, but it still looks terrible. I tried all the "fixes" (ie, putting tire shining oils and protectors on them). So, if I was a smart shopper, I probably would have bought another brand since these didn't look nice and didn't keep my feet dry (is there any other reason for rain boots?). I'm hoping my first pair was a fluke and this pair turns out perfect.

I was extremely disappointed in this boot. I got them in yesterday and tried them on, it was difficult to get my foot all the way in, my heel seemed to get stuck half way down. Then when I finally got them on, the shoe part was huge and sloppy. I typically wear 7 and a half or 8, but I got the 7 and they were still huge. However, the leg part fit fine, but there is no way I could wear them with pants, even skinny jeans. They looked bad on me, and I do not have wide calves. However, they look great. For someone that they can fit on properly, I would recommend them. Unfortunately this was not the case for me.

All the rave reviews must come from people with seriously skinny legs. I have slender calves, but these boots are too tight around the top, so tight I cannot wear them! How can anyone tuck jeans into these boots? What a disappointment.

These were the third pair of Wellies that I bought. I loved my first ones so much they got worn to the point of not being fit for public wearing. They were the best. Since I practically lived in them I needed a replacement pair. I ordered the Yellow Wellies (Yellies!). They were not of the same quality as my first pair. They are flimsy, do not feel as conformed to the foot and instead of having the raised painted-on HUNTER name, it is a plastic sticker which I am sure is going to peel off one of these days. Even when I am not wearing them, and both pairs are side by side, the first pair holds its shape and stands up. Whereas the "yellies" are limp and tend to fall over easily.

After a few weeks of sunshine, I was excited for some rain so I could test out my new boots. Unfortunately, after a short walk between the car and the post office. I was really surprised to end up with wet socks. I'm going to have to return these. Hopefully it's just a defective pair.

Very nice BUT... I love this boot BUT...I ordered several pairs of the size 6 women's in the chocolate color and found every pair to be very dirty looking. There is a white film on the boots that produces a look like someone threw powder all over them. I understand that Hunter's original boot are made of rubber and give off a dusty effect in warmer climates. In order to rid off the waxy, dusty effect, one can use a damp cloth to wipe it down and it would take care of it. However, with every pair ordered, this was not the case. There is something wrong with the boot. Maybe it is a bad batch from the manufacturer. I do not know. I have this same boot in the pumpkin color and it was not like the chocolate colored pair. Also, my cousin had purchased this boot in the chocolate color back in Sept 2008 and her pair is perfect. Her pair has a nice glossy look with no white dusty film. I will reorder this pair in another month to see if there is a better looking pair.

Not for a gal w/ a wider calf - I loved the look of these on other people. Know how trendy they are, just HAD to have ‘em. I exercise like a fiend and have big muscular calves. Always been a problem. I figured with these, look at the adjustable buckle on top - they must fit. NOPE! They are skinny all the way up, no room for expansion. I kept them anyway and wear them occasionally if I am gonna be on a quick errand, but could never wear them all day because of the tightness up top.

Brands I'd also recommend: Any rain boot that has a wider up top calf.
