Bought these boots for my teen daughter. The leg was way too tight to allow jeans to be tucked in. I was very disappointed. I noticed other people mentioned a similar problem so this must be a bit of a design flaw, not accommodating anything but pencil legs. Re-ordered the shorter version...very cute.

These boots are very cute, I got the iris color, which there seem to be no more of, and I loved them. Until I tried to get them on. I am a soccer player. I have athletic calves, but I am only 5 feet tall. These were way to tall for me, and way too tight! I needed my friends to help me get them off because they were suctioning to my legs! I am getting the huntress ones, so that they will fit, but over all, I would have been on cloud 9 if these fit me.

It is a shame that these boots just do not fit! They are adorable and the footbed feels like it would be so comfortable! For those of us with very athletic calves or to the curvier girls out there, these boots to have a very narrow shaft. Getting them on was not the hard part, but taking them back off was a doozy! The actual footbed feels like it runs about a full size larger than marked. I wear an 8½, ordered these in an 8 and my foot was still swimming! Although, as I mentioned before, the actual shaft of the boot is very tight. Also, they are very tall. I am 5'5'' with a regular inseam and the top of the boot was right at my knee, they made me feel like I was about to go fishing or something.

So cute! Unfortunately, I work out, and my calves are too big for these boots - though, I do not have big calves, I just need another 1/4 inch for them to fit comfortably. They are going back.

Love the way these look for rain boots, but when I tried them on in the store, I found that they are much too tall for me. They dug into the bottom of my knee (I'm 5' 7). They must get taller with bigger feet, as I was in the 9's. The calves were also a little tight. Disappointed!

I really love these boots and have been great in all the snow we've had this year. Their tall so the snow and rain doesn't go inside and paired with boot socks, they are really toasty. However, after only wearing them a few times, the buckle on the side ripped off. I was able to take them to a cobbler to get it fixed. I am a little disappointed with the construction, but these boots are the best I've found for trekking in the snow and rain in the city.

How sad am I? My right Hunter boot has sprung a serious leak. I've had them for about 2.5 years, but I've taken good care of them and expect more out of a well-regarded brand like Hunter. My previous pair of rainboots were half the price and lasted twice as long. I also contacted Hunter directly and apparently their boots only have a one year warranty. I loved these boots and suspect this is just a case of some bad luck, but I'm very disappointed. I going to give a cheaper brand of boots a try this go around.

I was in the market for a tall rain boot that would fit comfortably around my calf muscles. I purchased a pair of Steve Madden Tsunamii boots and a pair of Hunter Original boots. This is a comparison of the two the boots. I wear a womens size 8 US, but listened to other reviews for both pair of boots and selected size 9 instead of 8. Both boots fit well in the toe and little wiggly in the heel. Not an issue for me. The Tsunamii boots are a bit more stylish than the Hunter, but I liked the simplicity and durability that the Hunter boots offered. What sealed the deal was the fit around my calf. I have some pretty stealth-like calf muscles. I measured the diameter around the widest part of my calves, which are roughly 16 1/2 inches give or take a mm or 2. The Hunter boots were vacuum-sealed tight! I could have worn them, but it would have felt like I had my leg stuck in a vacuum hose. The seal around my calf created a buildup in air pressure that caused the boot to expand and buckle in strange and uncomfortable places, not to mention the image in my head of being in public and having that oh-so-tight seal around my calf function like a whoopee cushion. While the Tsunamii boots are snug to my calf, they do not stop the air or blood flow to the rest of my leg. This is largely in the design. The Tsunamii boot has an expandable fold and strap at the top of the boot that can be adjusted for a perfect fit. The Hunter boot has a strap but no extra fold for expansion. I was pretty surprised given that it's a unisex boot. I also bought a pair of the Hunter fleece socks. They were warm and snuggly! I was a bit disappointed about having to return them, so I decided to try them with the Tsunamii boots. Perfecto! The only thing about the Tsunamii boots that is a little concerning is the zipper. It's a bit tough, but I think with use they will loosen up just fine. I'm in love my new Tsunami boots! I felt like Debbie Reynolds in Singing in the Rain! "What a glorious feeling. I'm happy again!"

I wear an 8.5 or 9 so I got the 9 and with thick socks, they fit great. Unfortunately, they left toe was a different shape than the right toe and for this price, I thought they should be symmetrical so I had to return them (I even ordered another pair and they had the same problem, so I think it might be the way they are made). I wish they matched because I really liked how they looked and fit.

I was very excited to receive these; however, when they arrived, the height of the boot hit my knee at a strange angle, additionally, my "athletic calves" were way too large to wear these comfortably. The bottom of the shoe felt too loose in the ankle. Color was nice, but I had to return for the short version and choose shiny black, looking forward to receiving them. Also, Zappos is amazing with their speed of delivery, and really top notch customer service. There was a mix up with the order and Zappos overnighted my duplicate order before I even expected the first order.

These looked really nice on compared to other rain boots I've tried, but it developed this white film all over like the other reviewers had said. I tried wiping it off with a damp cloth but as soon as it dried it had that white film again. It looked pretty bad, and that's why I'm returning them. Zappos has the best customer service. I'm addicted!

The aubergine color is so dark; in most lighting it will look black. The size is true - don't order a size smaller as someone else suggested.

Good construction/classic design. However the fit wasn't there for me. The calf actually gets narrow towards the top of the shaft. The arch support was lacking. And the toe box was smaller than I like.

I should have listened to the other reviewers **sigh**. Boots arrived and I could barely pull them over my calves. I do have athletic calves, so if you have thin lower legs, these should work for you. Bummer that they are now made in **China**, as I am sure the quality has diminished. Although the boots are super-cute, I cannot, at initial glance, determined why they are worth $125, especially as they are made in China. Love the pink, but unfortunately because of fit-issues, these are going back today :(

Be aware of the height of these boots if you are petite. I am 5'3", and these hit the front of my knee when walking, and forget about bending my leg to pick something up.

Boots are great, may need to go a size up if you wear with the Wellies and put an insole in to wear without the Wellies so they fit

Bought these because they are cute and trendy and heard they are high quality and would get me through the winter. I got a 10 though I'm usually an 11 and that worked. Even though I see a lot of girls wearing them here in upstate NY I would have you NOTE: THESE ARE NOT A BOOT FOR THE SNOW. There are a few things I like about them but several things I don't. First, the good: They really are quite fashionable, and I like the way they look and can be worn with skinny jeans. I am impressed with the traction I get in wet and snowy conditions. Now, the bad: I bought these (with the hunter specialized socks) for an upstate new york winter. They just don't cut it. My toes are frequently FREEZING and they wear and tear very easily. These can't be depended on for everyday use or frequent walks. The heel was completely run down within a month and the sole is very uncomfortable to step on at the 2 month mark (granted, I walk a LOT). I also lost BOTH the cute clips on the sides of the booth within two months. I would order these if you are planning on using them for the occasional rainy day where you won't need to walk too far, but not for everyday use. I will likely get another pair next year for LIGHT use on non-snowy but rainy days, but I will also need a winter boot.

The cutest rain boots! I bought these for my daughter, per her request, but because she isn't long-legged enough for them. The boots hit mid-knee and isn't a problem for the front of her knee, but cuts into the back of her knee and isn't comfortable walking or standing. The width is fine, the shaft is more on the narrow side. Very disappointed. There is a shorter version, but the style and colors aren't as cute as these. They have to go back.

At first, I was so excited when I got the boots. But realized the sizing was a bit big even though I ordered the size I normally wear. And my feet were sliding back and forth. Also if you have narrow feet, this is not the kind of boots you want. I have to cut a men's size insole to fit it in to fill the gaps and wear thick socks to make sure it doesn't wobble. These boots are not for people that have big calves; therefore, they didn't leave a lot of room up on the boots. Even though there are many cons, I still kept the boots because I like the style.

So disappointed. Just got these boots today; ordered an 8 womens, since they said to size down. Got to tell you they were tight, and forget this boot ladies if you have a slightly thick calf, so sad. So, ran small, and tight in calf.

Beauties, but not for bigger calves - I love the look of these, the aubergine color is beautiful, but sadly they were tight around my calf leaving them a bit uncomfortable under the knee and with no room to tuck in pants. I am returning them.

Cute/strange fit - In person these look exactly as they do online. They are actually quite comfy except for the calf opening which is VERY small. If you have even medium sized calves, you're going to have issues if you were planning on tucking pants into these. They also buckle at the ankles a bit when you have pants tucked into them. I'm planning on keeping them b/c with some work and the right outfit, they'll be very cute.

Great for the rain! Everyone loved my Hunter's! I purchased the green boot and my only disappointment is the waxy film on the boot. It looks sort of gross, but it wipes off with a wet cloth. Try not to walk in the boot over eight hours; it will make your arches sore.
