Best rainboot I've seen - This boot is cute and comfy. The calf is a little snug if you want to fit jeans and thick socks for cold weather. They are about as cute as a pair of rubber boots could be, simple and stylish. I did find that the first time I wore them in the rain the moisture in the air caused the inside of the boots to rub and irritate my legs, so I wear socks if it’s humid. Overall I would definitely buy them again, worth the money.

ZAPPOS IS THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!! These boots are really comfy; do not listen to everyone and order a smaller size. I wear a W 7 and ordered a 6 b/c of the above reviews and they were a 6. The 7's are true to size. I would agree that they are a tad tight on the calf so those with large calves may want to get the other Hunter boot. I have average calves, not skinny but I can't fit my jeans in this, only tights. AND ZAPPOS IS THE BEST! They handled my exchange very professionally, refunded my shipping fee and gave me free overnight! They run a business the way it should be run!!! Complete customer satisfaction is truly Zappos' goal!

I read some reviews that said these boots run large...I wear a 9 1/2 so I ordered a 9. They were too small. They seem to run fairly true to size and I think most people want to wear socks with them, possibly heavy ones in cold rain, so ordering your size or a size up seems more reasonable. I also have slightly larger calves and I did find them snug, but ok, on the upper leg. The have been great for working in the yard and easy to hose off. Overall I love them and the service from Zappos was great! (Super fast shipping!)

Overall it's a very, very nice boot. The rubber doesn't feel so stiff that it's uncomfortable to walk in and it actually looks stylish...for a rubber boot. The calf does run quite small compared to the foot though. It's best to wear thick socks with these boots.

Good no-nonsense waterproof boot - These run large - order a size below what you normally wear. Good for when you're caught in a storm, but don't wear them all day or for long walks - they're not very well cushioned and your feet and calves will sweat with the rubber.

Hunter (Adult Size) Review - You will have to order one size smaller than what you normally wear because they run big. I'm a size 7 and was completely fine with a 6. The only thing that I don't like about the shoe is how rubbery it is. It sticks to everything, it gets white marks (which was said by the manufacturer would be normal -- I assume it's from the waxing agent) and it smells too much of rubber (for the darker pairs). Also, if you're short, boot hits the bottom part of your knee constantly, so it's annoying when you have a skirt on. All in all, it serves the purpose of keeping your feet dry and comfortable during rainy days and it doesn't hurt your feet at all -- fairly orthopedic if I must say so myself.

These boots are not comfy for walking around in a lot, but they are good for rain/mud. You definitely need the liner or heavy socks to wear them in the snow. I ordered one size down and they fit fine.

A little pricy nice boot! I love my hunters! They were expensive but I still think they were a good purchase. Zappos even upgraded me to an overnight shipment so I received them the next day. The color is a bit lighter than I imagined from the picture and the size is larger than indicated but, as I sad, you’ll get lots and lots of nice comments on your new boots!

Pretty much pleased - After reading the other reviews about the narrowness of the calf, I went ahead and ordered the Huntress, since I sometimes have felt boots can be tight on me in the calf area. The Huntress did not fit...It was huge, but more so right below my calf than where my calf actually gets wide. So I returned them for the Hunter Original, which I was pleased about because they come in so many more colors and I think look better. These boots fit, but they are snug in the calf. I can squeeze a pair of pants into the boot, but it's tight, and I don't think I could get some of my thicker pants in there. BUT, I don't really care, because the boots are sooo cute. I will just roll my pants up if they don't fit inside, and maybe start a new trend.

Duck Walking - Calf is a tug snug and I don't have big calves. Also boot is high comes to just below knee. They are perfect now for mud season and walking the dog. I bought the fleece liners size medium as recommended but they run large and I would get small next time. My feet are dry.

Size eleven ladies be warned: Hunter Wellie cute but short - If you're a size eleven like me, you may want to consider getting the next size up from the so-called 42 - unfortunately sizes bigger than this are only available in men's. This will limit the colors available, but will ensure your comfort. I found adding an arch support insole helped with the length issue; note that the wellie socks take up space and DON'T make these boots warm enough for winter wear in Southern Ontario.

Looks and personality - This boot has proven very high quality compared to a pair of Sperry Topsiders I received last year. After rain boots from a company with a good reputation that split at their seams after less than a month, I was worried that this might be a norm. Hunter's Original boots do not bear this out. I like to height, as it's very attractive (and still not to high even though I'm only 5'3) and great for splashy-wet days, but it does make it a bit more difficult to pick between tucking pants v. covering boot with pants (where appropriate). One thing I had a problem with was the buckle - I was crossing my legs the second or third time I wore them, and the buckle gave me a nice little scrape on the crossed leg. I got the hot pink boots, because really, when can an adult (25+) wear a hot pink boot and reasonably get away with it aside from rain boots? I got the liner sock as well and liked it (separate review), though it is quite overpriced for what it is. Normal show size 7.5, I got the boot equivalent to size 7 and it fits well, though I also have narrow feet. If I did not, they would be tight.

Stylish boots - but why so dusty? These are great boots and I love the color (Iris). They are working well so far as I slosh around muddy lower Manhattan in rainstorms. As some other reviewers have mentioned, the boots arrived dusty in their box and I had to wipe them down. What does the manufacturer do? Road test them on a farm before shipping them? Expensive for a pair of rubber boots, Zappos could do better to ensure that this product arrives in pristine condition.

Great multi-season boots! I love my Hunter boots. I always get compliments on the color (merlot). They are great for the large snow drifts and puddles that are produced by Chicago's erratic winters. I usually wear a size 7 or 7.5 and bought the US 7. They are a little roomy, but perfectly snug with socks. I think if I would've gone with a smaller size, I wouldn't have been able to tuck my pants into the boots comfortably. I am happy that I went with the size 7. I purchased wellie socks as well and I love them, too!

Decent, but not sized quite right - I normally wear a size 8 and ordered both up a size and down a size and neither were quite right. The size up was too big and too high; I could not bend my knees. The size down did not accommodate my average sized calf and was just a touch snug in the toe box. I feel that the Hunter is definitely made to fit a man's body. I ended up ordering a 38 in the Huntress and it is just about a perfect fit. My only complaint would be the name on the tag; just a little lame. But a great fit.

SO glad to have these - I take public transportation or walk everywhere, which means lots of wading through gross city slush all winter. These boots are amazingly comfortable (and cozy, since I bought the Hunter boot liners to match) and provide good traction on slippery sidewalks. I normally wear a 7.5 or 8, the 7 of this boot fits perfectly. My only complaint, and this goes for almost all knee-high boots, is that they are a tiny bit too tall and wide for me (I am 5'2" and have this problem frequently.) All in all, however, I am thrilled with them, and excellent service from Zappos, of course.

Great Looking, Could Be More Comfortable - I bought a size 7 instead of my normal 7 1/2 and the boot is still a little too roomy. I wear it with thick socks and it is reasonably comfortable. I'm an estate manager and I'm outside almost all day long. If I lived in a really rainy climate, it wouldn't work for me, but for the dozen or so really rainy days we get here, it's fine. I love the way it looks.

Beware narrow feet people - I found these boots functional and cute, but sometimes challenging. First of all, this boot does not really hold up in below zero weather (I live in Chicago). It was meant to be a rain boot so I found myself wearing triple socks just to keep my toes from freezing. However, once you find the right combination of socks/type (I wore a pair of wool and a pair fleece socks, I wasn’t going to buy the Hunter lining), the boot worked absolutely wonderful in subzero snowy weather. The traction is good enough and it keeps water/snow out. These boots are so eye-catching that I’ve gotten tons of compliments. And for those who have narrow feet like me, this boot was definitely a FULL size larger. The ankle area is definitely big. I wear an 8, but the 7 (color black) I purchased still had ALOT of room. However, it's snug on the calf area so I wouldn’t recommend going more than a size lower. For those who have wider feet, just go down a HALF SIZE lower. I'm going to get the merlot color next year, cant wait!!!

Great Boot With Minor Problems - I usually wear a size 7 or 6.5 and ordered these in 6 and they fit great. The only thing, which never happens to me, is that the calf area specifically the top of the boot/upper calf area is quite small with no ability to adjust. I've got pretty scrawny calves so I was surprised. Not only that but because they bunch up at the top, they bend through the ankle and lower calf. Nor can I really tuck my jeans into them. They work fine if I'm wearing just leggings, but that's about it. I should have gone with the Huntress, which offers more room in the calves. All in all a good boot, and they look exactly as they do in the images.

Great Wellies - I order these shoes after seeing EVERYONE wearing them and now I know why. The only problem is my calves are little bit larger then average, so its a little tight with jeans and socks. I order my exact size and they were perfect, I first ordered a size up, like suggested and they were too big.

The BOOT RUNNS BIG and Zappos is GREAT! I love my Hunter's. They are a wonderful boot and with so many different styles and colors to choose from AND price variances- it’s a win win win situation. However, I'd advise any of you with a larger foot-like if you're rocking a size 10- go a size down and get a medium NOT A LARGE in the socks. What was the best about the whole experience of ordering, receiving and opening my boots is I got them in 2 days, from the time of order. I can't even get regular mail from the city I live in two days. Zappos is GREAT!
